Product Description

The BHA+ peel is hands down the best peel for acne and oily skin. You should expect some visible flaking of the skin 2 days after using the peel. This will help with active acne blemishes as well as old acne marks, and a variety of other skin problems.

Combination of Salicylic and Lactic

The BHA+ peel is a combination of chemicals in a single peel. This peel contains salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol (another skin-peeling chemical) which together constitute a very adjustable peel which lends itself well to repeat applications. It is similar in most ways to the glycolic acid peel, but there are certain important differences.

Beneficial for Clogged Pores, Aging Skin, Severe Acne and More

This treatment is particularly beneficial for clogged pores, thickened and aging skin, severe acne, and environmentally damaged skin. By decreasing oil production and opening clogged sebaceous follicles, it can contribute significantly to the healing process of acne. Suitable for most skin types, the BHA+ peel can be used on the face, neck, hands, and upper chest.

A Safe, Controlled Peels is the Way to Go

mixing chemicals

The goal with a safe peeling regimen is to cause the skin to come off in a controlled way, with each peel taking off a few more layers of accumulated skin. With each application of the peel, the results are incremental. You should notice results within the first couple of applications, and the tone and texture of your skin will continue to improve as the layers of old skin are slowly removed to reveal new skin beneath.

Cautions for Using Salicylic and Lactic Acid Peels

If you are allergic to aspirin (which is similar to salicylic acid), you should not undergo a salicylic acid peel. If you are not sure whether or not you are allergic, your physician should test a small area of your inner, upper arm prior to applying a full-face peel. Every patient will react differently to lactic stimulation; a medical professional should evaluate patient's skin to determine length of time and pH level that can be tolerated.
