Betahydroxy (BHA) such as salicylic acid is used for surface exfoliators. BHA’s such as salicylic acid dissolve oil and is used for oily skin and acne. Salicylic acid is derived from sweet birch, willow bark and wintergreen. Salicylic acid also has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. They are a group of chemical preservatives with antioxidant capabilities, and also have the ability to topically exfoliate. (Aspirin is derived from salycylates).

How BHA+ Peels Work
BHA+ Peel uses a unique blend of safe but effective acids to cause chemical exfoliation of the epidermis, or outer layer of the skin. Skin regeneration following this chemical peel results in a fresh, organized, healthy epidermis. The result is a smoother and more even complexion and an improvement in pigment changes.

Your skin will feel softer, look smoother, with improved texture and tone and reduced hyperpigmentation (sun damage). Those are the differences on the surface of your skin. Most people will begin to notice some improvement immediately, but a full course of peels (8-10 peels) are needed to see optimal results.
This is one of our strongest peels, and would be considered a step up from the Glycolic/50 or the Lactic/70 used alone. The BHA+ Alpha-Beta peel can retexturize the skin, restoring the radiance of your youth. These easy to use peels combine the benefits of both the AHA’s and BHA’s, with little to light peeling at the 40% concentration. This peels are repeated weekly or bi-weekly and provides enough peel solution for approximately 10-15 peels.
