The Salicylic acid is best at unplugging large pores and diminishing their appearance, however it is not possible to change the size of a pore.

Many products claim to shrink pores, but this is more marketing and does not actually occur.

When you first begin using salicylic acid products, it takes time to reverse clogged pores and melt the sebum that has already formed under you skin. When you unclog the sebum plug the pore will not appear as large.

Regular use of salicylic acid helps keep your pores free of further blockages.
