Peel Strength
Level 1
Glycolic/35, Lactic/35, Salicylic/20
These peels generally do not cause visible peeling. They are very well tolerated, and are great for those who are new to peeling or have sensitive skin. Excellent for ongoing maintenance and collagen stimulation, these peels have the lowest risk of skin irritation.
Level 2
These peels are twice as strong as Level 1 peels, and some visible peeling is possible, although it depends on the thickness of your statum corneum at the time of application. If you have oily or resistant skin, level 2 peels are a good place to start. They are more acid and offer a slightly more aggressive treatment when compared with level 1 peels.
Level 3
These peels are twice as strong as Level 2 peels, and should be used by those who have tried peels previously. These peels will provide the most benefit, but also are more likely to irritate the skin.
Level 4
These peels are twice as strong as Level 3 peels, and should be used by those who have tried peels previously. These peels will provide the most benefit, but also are more likely to irritate the skin. If your skin is resistant to other treatments, these peel will provide the most benefit.
