Product Description
Glycolic Acid: The Workhorse of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids
Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent that is made from sugar cane. It is often considered the most active and beneficial of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA). With repetitive and continuous use, improvement to skin tone and texture occurs. Once inside the skin’s cell, glycolic acid will serve as a catalyst for the formation of new collagen which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skin’s surface. It’s small molecule allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25% thickening over 12 weeks. Glycolic acid has been proven to be very effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma, actinic keratosis, acne, and oily skin, as well as other cosmetic uses.

At-Home Peels, the Skin Cleansing Wave of the Future
Our peels provide you the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of professional results at home, for a fraction of the cost. The 30ml and 100ml bottles are best for full facial applications. For specific areas, or spot treatments, we recommend the Glycolic 35 Roll-On.
Proven Effective
Clinical research and patient treatments clearly prove that AHAs are effective in helping to keep the skin clear and healthier. The research also confirmed that the majority of AHAs have larger molecular structures that do not penetrate the top layer of the skin (stratum corneum) without high concentrations and lower pH levels. Glycolic Acid is the most adaptable and beneficial AHA. Its tiny molecular structure allows it to penetrate the epidermis to accelerate the body’s exfoliation process. It “loosens” the glue that bonds the cells together, allowing thickened and dead cells to “disappear.” The end result is smoother skin with better coloration, tone and texture. You will see improvements in cell renewal, firmness, texture, reduction of fine lines and increased moisture levels.
A Safe, Controlled Peel is the Way to Go
The goal with a safe peeling regimen is to cause the skin to come off in a controlled way, with each peel taking off a few more layers of accumulated skin. With each application of the peel, the results are incremental. You should notice results within the first couple of applications, and the tone and texture of your skin will continue to improve as the layers of old skin are slowly removed to reveal new skin beneath.

I rec’d product 2 days before expected which was a great beginning. I washed my hands, neck and face with mild cleanser and used witch hazel.I waited 1/2 hr and started on my hands and neck. No tingling on hands but neck wasnt even a one of 10 on pain level. I left it on full 10 minutes, I have had professional chemical peels before with good results.I like that it is a gel. Lots of control. Use lots of water to remove product. Hands looked soft, clean and a tiny bit younger. What was a surpise was my neck. I had red blotches on both sides of neck and they were GONE! Very pleased.I started on my face. I am a 56 yr old woman with all the normal issues. I have not excatly taken care of my skin. Sun damage, open pores white heads on nose, tiny scars on cheeks from acne. Pain was a 1 out of 10 and left it on 8 minutes. Skin softer, pores very clean and smaller. Sun spots were very red but I expected that. Used moisturize and waited. Skin was tighter for sure. After about an hour, I noticed sun spots had calmed down and a few had faded. Not much mind you but I was happy. I will continue to use product and I do expect changes. Be careful if you have never had chemical peels!! Start slow.

This is a very gentle peel. It has smoothed out my skin. I haven’t seen a great reduction in brown spots or wrinkles yet. I am using it once per week on face & neck.
Graduate student – :
I started by diluting this solution with 50% water. I am still having some peeling 1 week later. The peel was not painful, but my skin was red afterwards, and I did feel some tingling. I am going to do another peel after my skin stops peeling; then, I may try to increase the concentration. I have very sensitive pale skin, so I have to be very careful about what I put on my face. It is completely accurate that one person could use this product full strength the first time and be fine, but I am SO glad that I diluted it 50%. I’m sure if I had used it full strength that I would have had negative results. I would suggest beginners try diluting it first, then increase concentrations to whatever works best for your skin. Be careful and enjoy the results!

My husband and I have gotten many peels from the dermatologist do we bought this to try at home. It works well but needs to be left on much longer than the package states. I’ve not had an issue with dry or peeling skin and I have very sensitive skin. I think we will try the stronger solution next time.

I’m very happy with the results I’m getting using this stuff. I’ll be 42 in a few months. I was looking for something to help with the wrinkles I’ve started getting this past year. I was excited to find out that I can give myself a professional chemical peel at home. I can’t afford the spa prices or go to a dermatologist.
After seeing so many great reviews for this product, especially from those who HAVE paid spa or dermatologist prices and said that the quality is the same, I decided to go ahead and try it.
I’ve begun getting smokers wrinkles and that was my primary purpose in trying out this stuff. They are diminished greatly. One of them is actually gone after just 4 treatments. But it’s the overall appearance of my skin that I wasn’t expecting. It positively glows! The tone is even, acne scars are greatly reduced, less blemishes. I’ve gotten lots of comments on how good my skin looks, even from men who never notice ANYTHING! It looks so good that I don’t even need to wear foundation anymore! WOW!
I have followed the directions to a ‘T’ to get these results.
I’ve been using 100% pure hyaluronic acid serum to neutralize that I bought at Amazon as well.
To be fair, I have also started using a few other things. I’ve basically change my entire skin care regimen.
Since this review is for the acid peel, I won’t talk about what all those changes are that have given my such great results. If anyone would like to know what I’ve been doing, please leave a comment asking about that.

It took me a while to take the plunge in trying this product out, but I’m glad I did. Read the instructions carefully to understand the process. Then do what works best for you. For me, I cleanse my face on Sunday morning, followed by applying this product with a cotton ball (start at forehead, then work down). I set the timer on the microwave for 7 minutes (8 minutes is max and I take this into account by adding “apply” time with cotton ball). Once the timer goes off, I wash thoroughly with lukewarm water, pat dry, and apply my moisturizer for the day. My skin literally feels and looks better, and I look forward to this routine every weekend!

I’m young and decided to get this product in order to get rid of all my acne scars and dark marks on my cheeks from previous years of horrible acne. I had read from other reviews that you’d feel a stinging while using the peel. While using it, it did sting, but not as much as i expected. Because of this i went over the recommended first time using limit. This caused a very sensitive area on my face to burn very badly. I chemically burned my face and had to go to the dermatologist in order to get the proper and powerful creams to heal the burn. It has gone away, luckily within a week, however I have a large scar from it. In other words, read the directions before doing it or else you might chemically burn your face and not be very happy.

I have used lots of glycolics, tried this one since I am on a budget. It is okay.Does the trick, but it really is worth it to spend the extra dollars for better professional grade products
A. Mejia (Las Vegas, NV) – :
I’ve only used this product a couple of times. Each time I’ve used it I’ve noticed that my face is less oily. I still have some acne scars, but I think I just have to continue using it to see the full results. I used the product as directed in the packaging.
B. Little – :
I’m a 40-something white guy…large pores run in my family. I stay out of the sun but in the last year my face has gotten craggier with some fine lines. I’ve used real retin-a with good results but eventually all it did was make by face red and cause it to flake.
So I’ve only used this product 3 times but it really does make a difference. Pores and lines are reduced and my face has a nice smooth tone to it. Naysayers claim that acid peels simply irritate the face causing mild inflammation which reduces lines. But Glycolic acid is said to penetrate the cell wall easily and actually promote collagen…if this is true then this stuff is pure gold.
Fun to use too…as the stinging lets you know there’s an immediate effect. I use a q-tip to spread it quickly across my face. I follow with a high quality moisturizer to hydrate. TIP: wash your face but don’t used heavy soaps beforehand as they are alkali and neutralize the product.

I bought this on a whim because I had a strange looking brown mole that was growing under my left eye. I got a quote of $500 from a plastic surgeon for him to use a laser beam to try and minimize its appearance. I decided to use a peel first myself, to see if it would possibly help me avoid the laser surgery. It took a little less than 2 weeks, dabbing the mole twice daily with this professional peel, leaving it on for 5 to 10 minutes, and then gently removing the residue with an aloe baby wipe, and then like magic the entire thing peeled off, leaving nice normal looking new skin underneath. To say that I was amazed and delighted is an understatement. Never ever thought a mole could just peel away!!! Try this product if you have some ugly imperfections forming on your skin you want to get rid of naturally. Of course if you suspect skin cancer you really should get such a lesion checked out first by a medical professional.

I have been using this solution for about 2 months on my face once a week and leave it on for 10 min. I get a slight stinging sensation which goes away after it`s washed off. It has not diminished the appearance of any old depressed acne scaring (I have a few). Neither has it lightened a small area of melasma on my forehead. It generally just leaves my skin feeling ultra “clean” and the pores look a bit smaller and the next day my skin is slightly softer with a noticeably improved texture.
I thought if I left it on longer, i`d get a better result, so I tested it, and left in on for about an hour on the back of my hands just to see what it would do. After I washed it off, my hands looked about 20 years younger. Once you hit a certain age, you realize that your face isn`t the only part that shows visible signs of aging and when you have to look at your hands all day long everyday with age spots glaring back at you, it`s somewhat depressing. I had one IPL laser treatment for rejuventation of the hands about 2 years ago which cost 150 dollars ( which I really recommend) but i`ve found that this glycolic acid used repeatedly gives you about the same result over time. So I do this routine on my hands once a week now, and it has resulted in a clearer, translucent even looking skin tone, and the new “sun spots” are even fading. The constant exfoliation keeps my hands from ever looking dry, too, so I don`t even have to wear hand cream anymore. Nice, safe product- fast delivery. Will definitely repurchase.

I am a 31 year old woman, that did not start breaking out until my 20′s. I have literally tried every cream, lotion, and oral pill through my dermatologist. I have very sensitive skin, so many products actually make my skin worse. I read the great reviews on this and thought I would try it. The first time I used it, my skin was so soft afterwards. I didn’t notice much change scar and acne wise. I have been using it for about a month and a half once a week, and still don’t see much change. I am able to keep it on now for 5-8 minutes, and have even tried using it as spot treatment, but i am not really getting the results I hoped for:(
Linette – :
I have tried a couple different products to get rid of or lighten the dark skin above my lip with no success. I ordered this product not really expecting it to work. I have only used it twice and the dark skin above my lip is almost gone! There is quite a bit of a burning sensation and leaves the skin a bit sensitive for a few hours but it has been well worth it! It does exactly what it says it does, it peels the top of the skin off to remove the dark areas you’re wanting to get rid of! Love this stuff!!
V. Thompson (Newport News, VA) – :
I love this stuff, and first when I applied the salicylic acid it stingled a little, but other than that thing when fine. I had a couple of pimples and this morning when I woke up they where all dried up.
Lizard1128 – :
I absolutely LOVE this stuff. I’m 26 years old. I grew up doing a lot of sports in junior high and high school. I never had problems with acne as a teenager, but over the past 2 or 3 years I’ve had breakouts across the top of my back and my face. I’ve spent a good chunk of change with a couple of different dermatology offices, and they’ve given me stuff that hasn’t worked well: some burned, some dried out my skin BADLY, some made my oily spots worse than they were before I used the product. Some of the stuff was outrageously expensive, and one doctor even recommended Accutane (several of my friends have said they’ve had bad experiences with it and it can have severe side effects in some people.) I tried Proactive and the Clean and Clear and Clearasil products, but they didn’t work for me and over-dried my skin as well. Chemical peels have helped my skin problems, but it costs a lot of money to get it done in a dermatology clinic or at a spa. When I found this on Amazon, I figured I’d give it a shot. I was definitely surprised (and pleased) with the results. After using it twice a week for a month, almost ALL of my problem areas cleared up. I usually use the Dickinson’s witch hazel toner before I apply it (it’s cheap on Amazon, or it can be purchased at Duane Reade and Walgreens.) I use a small fan brush for the application, and after I wash it off I use Cetaphil moisturizer. I am allergic to a lot of skin products, so the Cetaphil just works better on my skin because it is free of a lot of the chemicals used in other brands. I will definitely purchase this again if I have more breakouts. My fiancee also has occasional acne issues, and I’ve had him use this a couple of times. Seems to work pretty well for him too. Hope the review was helpful.
C. Dai – :
I had given up on my face long time ago. My face was a desaster zoon since my teenager years. I had cluster of acne scars along my cheek bones, deep scars on my temples which looked like someone cut me with a knife. Under my chin, the skin looked like a beehive… I tried not to look at my face in the mirror. I went through the torture and agony. I gave up.
I already turned 40 but acnes still won’t leave my back and face. I stumbled over this video on YouTube when I was searching “acne scars.” This Asian girl talked about glycolic acid peel. I was curious but highly skyptical — what she described was too much like the miracl”e I dreamed of when I was a teenger. I decided to try it anyway.
I had high expectations. I was afraid I would be disappointed, again, like I had been so many times before.
But, a miracle did happen.
I started using this acid last Friday. My face was on fire after just 2 minutes. I quicly washed it off, and surely, I had redness on my face. BUT!! I also saw many scars on my cheeks were actually much smaller. I thought I was imagining things, you know it happens when people want something very badly. But it was not ma imagination. Since last Friday, I used this acid twice to spot-treat the most serious scars. At night, I also wiped my face with “Origins Brighter By Nature” pads before bed.( the pads contain glycolic acid of 30%, but much milder and do not burn my face.) This combination worked. Today is the 6th day. The scars on my right cheek are completely GONE. You have to look closely to see any traces. On my left cheek, only two big scars remain. They have become much shallower and brighter. The bottom of the deep scars rose up and became almost even with the surrounding surface. The deep scars on my temples turned out to be more stuborn, but even they have become shallower. It has been just 6 days. I can hardly believe I will have a chance to see my face without scars again.
I want to say “thank you” to Skin Lab. Only people who have suffured from severe acne scars understand what a miracle you have created. This product removes not only the scars on our faces.

went to dermatologist 3 times at $125 a pop. No difference. Got this, Done it about 3-4 time, noticeble with pores. I don’t have acne so cant say, I do it old, try to get rid of wrinkles.
A. Bogomolov (Chevy Chase, MD) – :
I must admit, I was a bit nervous using this product on my sensitive skin in the summer, but it worked great. My major concerns: I have very sensitive skin, and also I have some clogged pores.
I used a fan brush (sold separately) to apply the product. The peel worked very well to clean up my pores. They became smaller and clean in 1 application.
dwhite619 – :
Bought this product to peel the sun-damaged skin on my lower arms. Reading reviews, thought this would be strong enough. I’ve never had a glycolic peel before, so I didn’t know how I’d react. Did a test patch for one minute the first day….nothing. Put it on my arms the second day for 1-minute and washed off…..nothing. Decided to do the maximum time of 8 minutes after a couple of days…..nothing. Last night, I put it on for 20 minutes, and washed off with water….I’m sorry to say, nothing again. Will keep doing it to see if I ever get results, but so far, it’s no stronger than kitten tongues licking my skin!
If you’re worried about it being too strong, don’t. If you’re looking for a strong peel, this isn’t it.
I am very curious if this stuff is regulated at all….what I mean by that is, is there any consistency in the percentage of Glycolic Acid? Might some people get a mixture stronger than 35%, and maybe the percentage I got was very watered down? I’m just wondering if that accounts for the inconsistent peel results in the reviews.
K. Coney (San Martin, CA) – :
I paid for gylcolic peels, as goes the economy so do I! I purchased this and it has been great. Be sure to follow directions, recommend applying protective gel/vaseline under eyes and nose so you do not irritate skin and cause inflammation. I apply with a soft eye brush or cotton swap or even by hand -fan brush is not worth investment.Helps with pores, discolorations & tightening of skin.
Ms. Rea (MI) – :
Anyone who knows me knows I’m an advocate for glycolic acid. I intentionally look for products with it listed as a main ingredient. I also love getting glycolic acid peels (professionally and at-home treatments). I have sensitive skin. But, glycolic acid is one of the few ingredients I can put on my skin without mutating into a monster. That is, until I used this product. This product caused horrific bumps and hives all over my face. At first, I wasn’t sure what caused it because I NEVER break out from glycolic acid. So, of course, I stopped using everything and detoxed for a week. I tried this glycolic acid peel again and then BAM! Gross hives and reddish acne all over my face and neck, which then spread to my arms, back, and chest. I was livid! I have that vile and despicable bottle of acid sitting in the bathroom cabinet now, unsure of how to dispose of this toxic substance without getting the EPA involved. To be fair, and as I mentioned before, I have sensitive skin. So this just isn’t right for me. My recommendations for some good alternative cheapies with glycolic acid are Proactiv’s revitalizing toner, Neutrogena’s pore defining toner, and Reviva’s 10% glycolic acid cream. Other than that, I buy take-home treatments from spas or let the esthetician do his or her job.
Catherine – :
The item came on-time. I have used the Gel Peel twice. The 1st time I had minimal stinging at 5 minutes. The 2nd time little to none at 8 minutes. I had very little peeling around my nose area and that was it. My skin does glow and I’m thinking that I should get a higher strength because I’m not experiencing what other’s say should happen with a Chemical Peel… But I’m at odds cause my skin glows and is very soft… I don’t know…
J. Latzer (Dillsburg, PA) – :
I am 45 years old with fair skin. I have never been one to purposely get a tan, but I have had a few sunburns. Wow, this product is amazing. Left it on for barely 2 minutes. The next morning I could definately see a difference. Smaller pores, firmer skin, and clearer complexion. A co-worker even commented on how refreshed I looked. This is a keeper!
M. Lane (Los Angeles, CA) – :
I love to play facialist and give this peel to loved ones when they come over. I wouldn’t be surprised if a dozen people have bought this peel from just coming over to my home. I also put it on my hands (because I overwash them and they get old lady dry). I LOVE this peel!
D. Venneri (OH) – :
I decided on this product, as the price was more in line with my budget. Pleasantly surprised with the results. It does fine in the interim if you go to a plastic surgeon for an in-office peel.
<3sour.patch.kid<3 (CA) – :
I have been using glycolic products since my early 20s (i’m now headed to 30). This stuff is potent and gets the job done. I have normal/combination skin with some breakouts every now and then, and some issues with blackheads and large pores. This peel really helps with these issues! Keep in mind if you’ve never used a peel before, you’ll want to start with a milder percentage so you don’t burn your skin..but this stuff is awesome.
cacolors – :
I’ve never used anything like this before.
I have sensitive skin so I bought the lowest strength.
It didn’t do much…didn’t really notice anything different with my skin.
Wish I had bought a stronger product.
R. Tittsworth (Naperville, IN) – :
Great! This is my second time purchasing the product from this seller and it arrived exactly as advertised. The product works, just follow directions, because I left the product on too long on my face and ended up with a hyper-pigmented, discoloration on my lower cheek. I am African-American with a medium complexion.
buckeye_state – :
It’s true – less blackheads, scar healing, and better skin at a very affordable price. This stuff is just awesome – just use some Malderma with spf30 to protect your tender little face!!
Cindy “Cincity57″ (Arizona) – :
I really like the peel. This was so gentle I didnt need a neutralizer. I just used water. I will buy another bottle once this one runs out,Great stuff.

It works it really does but the shipping takes forever My skin cleared up and it leaves ur skin baby butt soft and cleared up my acne

Have been a professional in the field and this products works as well as any thing i purchased from the suppy houses. Just follow the instructions.
Ariana – :
So, this is a bit premature but here goes anyway.
I have been suffering with acne for about 2 years now. When I turned 22 my skin decided to go bonkers, and I began breaking out. And not you’re typical pimple, no these were the ones that came in cluseters and stayed red for at least a month.
That being said, I have tried TONS of creams, lotions, toners, soaps, treatments, etc. and NOTHING has worked. So I’m a bit on the desperate side. After months of debating whether to try this and risk burning my face off, I finally decided that I couldnt bare to look at my acne riddled face anymore, and bought a bottle. I just recieved the product yesterday. and of course I read through the instructions and tried it.
I was able to leave it on for about 4 and a half minutes before it began tingling strongly and I washed it off. I didn’t really see much of a difference right afterward, but I put on my face cream and feel asleep a couple of hours later. When I woke up the next morning I almost cried. The redness was significanly reduced, my pores were smaller, I had less blackheads, and my pimples decreased in size. Now I am still wearing makeup, because my face is no where near as clear as it can be, or that I want it to be. But I will continue to use this and see how good it can get.
Please be aware though, that I bought this specific peel because I knew how it would react on my skin. My dermatologist has used it before and I never reacted badly to it, I also know that Sacylic acid and benoxide periode burn my skin. So make sure to do your research before you buy it.
The Shopping Penguin – :
Received a free sample of the product with an order I placed. I was excited – who doesn’t like free?! I did a test run on my arm on Saturday like the guide states – I had no reaction. Tried the peel on Wednesday: After first minute, tingling / burning sensation. Scared me, so I rinsed repeatedly with cool water and per the guide, I applied the neutralizer, and still experienced the burning sensation. Ended up with white bumps all over my face which I’m assuming was the skin coming off my flesh. Following morning, still had red patches all over my face. Felt like a really bad sun burn. By evening, redness turned into scabbing. Pretty sure I have a chemical burn, waiting to hear back from the doc. I’m sure others have had brilliant results, but if you have sensitive skin be very careful when using this product. Maybe try for less than a minute unlike what the guide states.
amanda – :
Not much different than when i use my 10 percent glycolic acid face wash daily. It didn’t burn, and i left it on for the whole eight minutes. The most noticeable reaction was that my face itched severely after i applied, maybe i should have bought the 50 percent and not the 35 percent. When I read the label it states thirty five percent glycolic acid as the first ingredient along with water and a thickening ingredient. I think the water and thickening ingredient lowers the percentage of the glycolic acid in the end. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this product if your looking for professional strength glycolic acid at a low price. Guess I received what i payed for. Would definitely like to try a stronger peel made by this company but scared I’m just going to receive another product I am not happy with.

I am 100% certain that all of the high reviews given here ARE FROM EMPLOYEES! I wore it for almost a hour and nothing, and I have sensitive skin. And I’m pretty sure that that these employees will continue giving high rating and reviews to push all of the real comments down and hide them.
SKIP THIS PRODUCT!
J. Alvarado (Chicago, IL) – :
when I read the good comments about this product, I didn’t believe, but is true with professional result. I have been used for 3 weeks and my face is oily less, shiny less and the best my spot are less visible.
West Coast “Lynne” (California) – :
I have blue eyes, fair skin and slightly over 50. I love the Gel Peel – use it 2 or 3 times a week – it leaves my skin gently exfoliated, refreshingly soft and smooth and better able to accept hydrator products and anti-age
cremes. Highly recommend.
K. Lacy – :
I have never had much of a problem with acne and such on my face, but I have always had those little red bumps on the backs of my upper arms. I discovered recently that those bumps are keratosis pilaris, a minor genetic skin problem where excess keratin plugs hair follicles. I was a little embarrassed by it, and though I originally got this glycolic acid as a facial exfoliator, I began to use it on my arms. It is incredibly helpful (along with a LIGHT moisturizer afterwards–I use jojoba oil). There are no longer red bumps on the back of my upper arms, just a smattering of pale pink spots. I am much less self-conscious in tank tops now.
amazon die hard fan – :
I am very disappointed to report that this product didn’t work on correcting my hyper pigmentation at all. It caused considerable skin damage only after 3 applications. I followed the instructions step by step and didn’t exceed the time limit. I didn’t experience any burning sensations on my face and left it on for 8 minutes each time.
My face turned rough and dried up while the hyper pigmentation left intact.
My friend recommended me to try an all nature product Clay Enzymatic Beauty Mask– Instant Natural Facelift For Firmer, Smoother and Younger-Looking Skin FREE SHIPPING which helped me to heal from the chemical peel damage. I am glad I found an alternative to this harsh non-working chemical peel.
My face now is smoother and the freckles are fading.
kek2828 – :
When I got this in the mail I couldn’t wait to use it. It stung like crap, but I kept it on for 1 minute and rinsed it off. That day I didn’t wear makeup (the directions say to try to avoid it) and a few hours later noticed my skin tone looked more even and looked better without makeup. I’ve been applying this peel every other day, increasing the time I leave it on my face, then applying Hyaluronic Acid Serum 100% Pure 2 oz. afterwards. I feel like I get better results WITHOUT using the hyaluronic serum, so I’ll probably go back to using the peel by itself. Don’t get me wrong, the serum works great, just not in combination with the peel. I plan to use this bottle up then try the 50% peel.
I’ve tried everything on my face, and this honestly the 1st product I’ve tried that was actually WORTH trying. At least give it a shot. I’m sure the results vary from person to person, but you never know until you try.
Traveler – :
I’ve used this product about 8-9 times in the last couple of months. I’ve found that it helps my blackheads come out easier and not be as prominent. I’ve also noticed improvements in dull parts of my face– my face seems “brighter” and clearer though I still get little zits from time to time. I didn’t really notice it drying up a couple of zits when I used this to spot treat. There hasn’t been any change in my fine lines which is a bummer, but for less than twenty bucks, I’d probably get it as a gift for someone else who hasn’t done chemical peels. I won’t be buying a second bottle for awhile (for one thing, this bottle lasts quite awhile despite using it on my face, a friend’s face, and a few body parts a couple of times.) I’m actually planning on trying a stronger peel, but I could potentially see getting this peel again later on when I was done with more heavy duty peels.
B. Heck – :
It is hard to believe some of the reviews. This product did not do anything for my skin, even using it 3 times a week. Would not purchase again.
Amazon purchases – :
Improved the overall texture of my skin/face. Excellent product. Thoroughly satisfied. I rotate weekly between this and salycilic. Very good results.
tri – :
After considering a peel from my dermatologist I read the reviews here. I have used the peel 35% just 3 times and can see a big difference. The few sunspots I had are diminished and my skin at 58 is almost perfect clear. I never had a peel in past and this product is sensitive skin friendly no problems at all. Started at one minute and now up to 3 minutes. Love it!
Jen – :
Being in the esthetic industry for several years, I can say that this product is equal in quality to the professional products I use on my clients. After using the 35% peel the first time, my pores were visibly smaller and my skin was much smoother. I’m an avid runner, so my forehead, nose and chin tend to break out more when I’m more active. After using this peel my breakouts are almost gone! I love the gel as apposed to a liquid consistency mainly because you have more control when applying it to your face. I will definitely be a returning customer!
Georgia – :
Initially this had me leary as I was concerned with putting ACID on my face, but if you follow the instructions to the “T”, it yields amazing results with NO down time whatsoever. I must stress and repeat, you need to follow the instructions to the “T”. Great product and have already introduced to many others.

Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional)Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional)I am a 47 year old woman. I have used this product twice as directed. I have to say this product has made a major improvement in my skin, I got compliments on how good my skin looked after the second application. I intend on using Glycolic Acid 35% for the rest of my life lol
. I am looking forward to the next application, It’s exciting to see the transformation to a radiant face, results can be noticed just days after use. The first application I did 3 minutes, it did not burn at all. The second application I did 4 minutes, it tingled slightly. I did not have any negative affect from this product at all. I did do the skin test on my arm 72 hours prior to use as directed. I apply on a Friday night so I don’t have to wear any makeup the day after using this product. I have to say I was hesitant on buying this product. I was reading reviews days before my purchase, I am very happy with Glycolic 35% I will never be without it. I have to say Thank you to the seller for selling such a great product! Shipping and packaging are excellent too! Fast and inexpensive. March 30th 2012, I have to add I just did my third treatment and noticed my tattoo eyebrows are now almost gone
bonus! didn’t expect that, if you love your tattoo be careful with this product.

I saw all of the great reviews for this product. Frankly, I was skeptical. I received it yesterday and used it for the first time last night. This morning I looked in the mirror and saw my red post acne marks 50% gone. Fabulous!! Can’t wait to see what a second treatment will do!!

I’m a 45 year old male who works out and is in great shape. I didn’t look my age to start, but have noticed wrinkles starting to appear on my face and probably sun damage, although I have used strong sunblock for many years.
I’ve been using this product for about 6 weeks now and my face is incredibly smooth! Wrinkles have decreased or disappeared, other than one deep wrinkle in my forehead (might need to botox that thing!) I use an exfoliant on my face between applications of the peel. I use the peel twice per week, about 8 minutes each time. I’ve had no burning – maybe a little redness right after use, but it’s gone by morning. A few years ago I tried the Obaji treatment from a dermatologist and it cost something like $300 and left me looking like I had a flaky sunburn. The end result seemed no better than what I’m getting from this $18 product and I don’t look sunburned. I highly recommend this product and may try the 50% after this. It sounds like from the reviews that you leave the 50% on for less time though.
S. C. Reynolds (Morgan Hill, CA United States) – :
I am 41 years old and have fair and oily skin. Lately, my skin has been looking tired and dull. I don’t have freckles but I do have issue with a little bit of redness to my skin.
I heard you can buy glycolic peel ingredients yourself here on Amazon. Since I’d had a professional peel, I knew the procedure, so I gave it a try. I ordered this Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) from Skin Laboratories. I decided to start with this low strength, even though I had already had one peel. I followed the directions: cleaned my face and then again with alcohol. I put on the product and nothing happened. No tingle, no burn, no frosting. Left it on for 8 minutes. Nothing. Nothing at all, not even days later. My skin looked no different and there was no peeling as I had experienced with the professional peel. I tried again 5 days later. Nothing again. Since I’d had the professional peel, I knew this was not what I was hoping for. Time to switch…don’t waste your money.
I then bought this 25% TCA chemical peel product 25% TCA Chemical Peel for Home Use. Our Strongest Peel! 1 fl oz (30 ml) This was much much better. See my review on that product’s page.
deserthot – :
Like the results. I don’t leave it on more than three minutes. I use the neutralizer after. Smooth skin and use at least 3 days a week.
W. Wiley – :
I have never had a professional peel, but I had already ordered the product before I read the reviews recommending this; after reading some of the issues, I lost my nerve to try it on my face first. I figured I would try it out on just one of my hands, for the initial 6 weeks (in increments of one additional minute each week, starting at 1 minute as per the directions).
I have to say, I was skeptical going in, but now that the first 6 weeks is over, I plan to play catch-up and do the other hand, and will also use this on my face (starting at the 1 minute the first week, then moving upward from there). The results weren’t dramatic, but they were definitely noticeable on my 40-year-old/European-descent skin. The left hand (which was the test hand) has a slight, healthy-looking sheen to it that the right hand (control hand) does not have. This was evident starting on week 3 and pretty much is that way all the time, not just on the day after the peel. Incidentally, I used a fan brush to apply, as recommended by other users.
In addition to the sheen, or maybe as a result of it, the little fine wrinkles on the back of my hand are no longer as noticeable on the left as on the right. Over all, I think this is a good start, and I might eventually graduate to a higher percentage, but I’m happy with just minor improvements at this time, and I can see where this would be beneficial for those very small wrinkles on my cheeks that have begun stalking me in the last couple of years.
I never had any of the sloughing issues that people had, but I did apply it once on a small scratch that was on my hand at that time, and I will be sure not to repeat that exercise in pain again. Definitely stay away from broken skin!
Over all, if you are concerned about how well this will work and/or if you will see any bad skin issues from it, trying it on the back of one of your hands, though time-consuming since it takes 6 weeks to build up to full use, might be a good way to see if it’s for you or not. It definitely worked for me, and I would (and will) buy this product again.
On a final note, I used a deactivator that I also purchased at the same time (5 Minute Cooling Gel – Neutralizer skin pH balancer after peel – with Japanese Green Tea & Aloe – (Larger Size) 2oz Free Shipping!), and it also seems to work well.
nathan – :
The item came as expected, however the item itself is a bit disappointing. Lots of people claim that it works well and all, but it doesn’t seem to work really. I haven’t notice any difference at all and have been using it for 3 weeks now. I have also made sure to read all the instructions and used it correctly (the instructions are very simple and clear).
bibi – :
bought this product based on the raving reviews. i’ve used it 2 times and haven’t seen a noticeable difference in my skin. my skin feels tighter after washing the product off, but that lasted for a couple hours. will continue to use weekly to see if it might get better. I give it three stars for the uncertainty.
Prodreviewer (Colchester, CT, US) – :
As itchy as this peel makes my face feel, I can’t deny that it really does smooth and brighten my skin. As many products as I use, it still adds alot to my skin care regimen. I take very good care of my skin and my usual routine includes cleansing with a clarisonic brush sudsed up with philosophy purity. I then moisturize with a large dab of St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer, 10 Ounce to which I’ve added three or four drops of Hyaluronic Acid Serum 100% Pure 2 oz. which I just mix up quickly with my finger in the palm of my hand. I then use a couple drops of the pure HA serum on trouble spots (corners of eyes and mouth). With all of this I can still see an improvement after I use the GA peel. I use it every two weeks as recommended and am gradually building up to leaving it on for 8 minutes. I do chores while I wait to rinse in order to keep my mind off the itching BUT I check a mirror every couple minutes to make sure I’m not getting any red spots on my face. People often try to find out how old I am, especially after they find out my daughter is grown and out of the house. I really feel confident my skin looks its best without resorting to fillers of any kind.
C. Wilson – :
I guess the saying different strokes for different folks is true because as I read some of bad reviews I was really amazed. I’m a 49 year old African American woman and I’ve always taken good care of my skin, but as I’ve gotten older, I have a couple dark spots, large pores, blackheads on my nose. So I started out using the Salicylic Peel. Now this peel is really for acne/blackheads. . but it worked wonders on everything– pores, blackheads, and even faded the couple dark spots. After my peels, my skin looks absolutely radiant. In fact everyone at my office would gasp and say “Oh my, what are you using on your skin???” I always tell people what I use and recommend it. So recently I read more information about the Glycolic Peel (35%) and decided that would probably better suit my needs, so purchased it and have been using it for two weeks now. . I don’t have any wrinkles to speak of (I use sunscreen) but the slight ones I have, gone. The dark marks you can barely see now, and my skin looks like a baby’s bottom. . smooth and young. I usually follow my peels with Argan Oil. .but the results I get from these peels are amazing. .I’m actually saddened that others don’t share my enthusiasm about this product
netsananton – :
Yes, I do! I’ve been using it for dour weeks, once a week, following directions all throughout, NO RESULT! ONLY thing I’m getting is BURN sensation, I cannot give it another week, since my skin is getting worse. ROUGH, and UGLIER with this product. I would not ever recommend this.

This stuff is great. I never had a problem with acne in my life, until after I had my first child. After that, I couldn’t get it to go away. I have a problem with picking at scabs left behind from zits and stuff, leaving little red marks on my face, that don’t go away. Well, this stuff is doing a great job. It has cleared up my acne. And!! It is making those little red spots slowly go away! Yay! My confidence is coming back. I leave this on for the full 8 minutes. f i leave it on any less, it doesn’t seem to help. And it works GREAT for spot treatment as well. The zits are gone the next day!!
ButterBee – :
I have used the glycolic acid peels in liquid form before and it works great…but I really like the gel. It is easier to control and put a uniform coating on the skin (buy a fan artist brush from a craft shop for applying as it works better than anything).
If you are new to peels please read up and give them a chance before walking away.
I am in my 40′s and have had issues with acne all of my life. The peels have helped clear up my skin, removed some of the acne scars, sun spots and reduced the size of my pores. My skin looks clearer and better than it ever has, and I have gotten a lot of compliments from people on how nice my skin looks.
However, this comes with a WARNING. If you have acne, your acne may get worse using this before it gets better…this is just part of the process (as I said read up on peels – makemeheal message boards are a great place).
You will also experience mild flaking (tiny flakes – like you may get after exposure to cold and wind)…little dry flakies…but it depends on how sensitive you are…this concentration doesn’t even phase my mom’s skin so she uses something stronger.
As I read it, and experienced first hand, the acne and flakies are referred to as the “”uglies”" phase. If you stick with it you will be rewarded with clearer skin in week or two…definitly worth it!!!
Anuday (Atlanta, GA) – :
I purchased this product almost a year ago. When I first received it I used once a week for about 7 weeks, then once a month after that. There is a stinging where you can tell it’s working, but it wasn’t as bad as some other peels I’ve used. I kept it on between 3-4 min. It made my pores smaller, but didn’t do anything for by acne scars which was what I purchased it for. It’s ok, but I’ve moved on to the HQ+ Peel by the same company. Hoping for some better results this time.
C. Correa (Phelan, CA) – :
great product. I’m 53 fair color skin. Use every day 2nd month now skin is so soft and clean. I do have slight sting as stated but it goes away quickly. sometimes i don’t even need face cream as I’ve forgotten many times. No problems.
albi4059 – :
I am 19 and I have had acne since I was 13, which got much worse from the ages of 15-17. I now have a face covered in small pitted scars and I still get mild acne. I have tried EVERYTHING with little or no success, as my skin is very resistant to treatment.
I have heard a lot about chemical peels, and thought I would save some money and try it myself before I try going to a professional for peels. Well… I have been doing treatments about once a week for the past 6 or 7 weeks. I leave the glycolic acid 35% on my face for anywhere from 10-30 minutes, depending on how my skin feels(I have used so many products on my face my skin has a high tolerance so I can leave it on for quite long… others may need less time). Sometimes I have left it on too long and accidentally burned my skin, which takes about a week to heal completely.
Well, just now I was looking at my skin and I have noticed that a fairly large raised hypertrophic scar I have had on my chin for about 2 years has decreased significantly… you can barely see it! It has almost completely smoothed out. I am so excited! It has taken 6 or 7 treatments, but I am finally seeing results. I haven’t noticed any difference in my pitted scars, but those may take longer. Or maybe I need a different treatment altogether for my pitted scars.
Overall, I have found this to be an amazing treatment for raised scars. I will now start doing treatments on other scars on different parts of my body. As soon as my bottle runs out I think I will upgrade to 40% or 50%. If you have raised scars, give this a try. I am sure it will work wonders for you.
M. Foley – :
I purchased the Glycolic Acid with not much expectations. It arrived promptly as described and works great. I would purchase again.
Hanna – :
This peel works great. It is not too harsh, so it doesn’t burn your skin as much as salicylic. Gives good results after a week or so of use
L. Dubay (Boston, MA) – :
I bought this for a friend who was talking about going to a doctor for a peel. I helped her with the application and we were a bit nervous about using a professional stregth item at home..but just follow the instruction to a T and do not wear longer than recommended. Used once a week for 4 weeks and a HUGE difference in pore size and her skin looks more soft and brightened..less fine lines. Not as painful as we thought it would be she said it stung a little, and her face was a bit pink, but only until morning it was gone. Great purchase yet again.
kcr – :
I was in the middle of a horrible breakout and in addition to that, all the skin discoloration wad taking over my skin. Brown and white spots. I never had bad wrinkles. just very few fine lines. What is great for being 33. So after trying eeeverything and beung so embarrassed by this crazy mess. I found this on amazon. Wow. I am on the 5th aplication and my skin is glowing. no more bteakouts. But still some spots. I will stick to it cus I found it amaxing how my skin looks amaxinf. worth it every penny.
J. Alexia (Portland, OR) – :
Wow, it got here really fast! Also, the simple instructions enclosed eased my mind about any questions I had. Didn’t burn or tingle on my face, I washed it off within five minutes they say after one and no more than eight. I feel my skin tightening a bit on day two. Going to try it again this week.
P. Newman (Nashville, TN) – :
Love this product! Don’t leave it on too long, however. You will feel the burning and tingling, but when you start to wash it off is when it really starts burning. I only leave it on a couple of minutes. It works great. Pores are reduced. Skin is glowing. I love it.
Ann – :
I purchased the Glycolic 35 and the Salicylic 20 – After, carefully reading all the reviews I started with the Salicyclic 20. I could barely leave it on for 30 seconds as my face was stinging. I did follow the instructions to the letter and took other peoples suggestions. My face got very red. I washed it with cold water and waited until the following Saturday discontinuing my Retina A 48 hours in advance. I used it for three weeks and noticed I could go to a minute. I decided one week to try the Glycolic 35 to see how my face would react – for three weeks in a row I used the Glycolic and could leave it on the full 8 minutes with no burning. My skin is ok with the glycolic but not the salicylic and must be due to using DDF Glycolic wash and 10% toner. I have very deep Melansma and know this will not cure it – every doctor has told me I will need a medical grade peel or frazel laser to get rid of my melasma. What i have noticed is my skin over all looks better, smoother, and I get a lot of compliments. The day I do it my face looks fresh and supple. I don’t expect this to be the cure all but I have noticed definete improvements. I have also been able to use the salicylic for several more minutes now and keep increasing my time. Would buy again.
Tina “Tina” (NY) – :
Okay I used this to no avail until the 3rd time. Today I awoke with redness just under the eye at the bone area. SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE tell me this IS normal????????????? It is suppose to peel off I assume lol? How and when will this happen????? The rest of my face really has improved very bright, glowing and less sticky looking. I am happy overall with the product but, again my above concern. Any help would make me sooo very very happy!!! Please let me know
In a few weeks I will try a higher percentage. Great product for the money!!!!
M. Chopra (Morgantown, WV) – :
Exactly as described, I was a bit scared to try an at-home chemical peel. It was my first time doing so… this product didn’t sting or redden my skin at all. I used a pro brush and applied to my clean face…set the timer and watched it for 3minutues…I fanned my face, but it didnt hurt at all. I washed it and applied the neutralizer… wala…so simple. Great results
VonMolotov – :
People comment that they do not see any effect. That is because glycolic acid does not cause your skin to peel. It stimulated collagen production. It is really hard to burn your skin with this peel.
I use this product once a month and I can definitely see a difference the next day after using it. It gets rid of fresh acne scars, makes skin appear smoother and healthier. If you are looking for drastic results, however, glycolic acid is probably not the best choice for you.
J. Sisney (Humble , TX) – :
I will start off by saying everyone’s skin is diffrent so each experience will be diffrent. After reading the positive online reviews I just had to purchase this. I’m 25 and I am still breaking out slightly. I have used this product 3 times in the last 3 weeks. So far I am still breaking out and skin feels the same. I will continue to use it and hope these are just old pimples dieing out.Gr8 price
I love movies – :
This Acid is not aggressive however,my active and raised acne is gone down, i see flakes of dead skin but it’
not as aggressive as i wanted it. I must say, i didn’t follow the rules of once a week. i applied it every other day. i feel mild tingling but nothing too aggressive.
skin feeling a bit smoother, i just started using it, so let’s see how it will look in two weeks. In addition to gycolic acid, i am using hyadrualic serum.
Rule number 1- you must use a hydrating serum or non oily moisturizer, Add vitamin C to your regime or find vitamin c acid. what the skin need most is non oily moisture especially if your skin is mature and aging.
Rule number 2- use only salycic acid based cleanser
Rule number 3- Don’t ever pick your pimples or acne- use gycolic acid or salycic acid to bring down a raised acne or active acne. learn from experience, if you pick, you will be scared and it’s difficult to get rid of scares.
Rule number 4- drink plenty of water
Rule number 5 – Don’t gain weight, find way to loose it if you have weight. the estrogen hormone can cause stress and it will result to break outs.
Rule number 6- Take some vitamins ( coezym 10- good for skin, zink – heals the skin, vitamin e, vitamin B5, hydraulic acid pill for skin, vitamin A and C, add multivitamin to it) if you drink alcohol or coffee then you must take vitamins because these drinks wash away the vitamins in your body.
Rule number7 – Exercise and eat healthy. Try and avoid estrogen high products (milk, meat, chicken) just temporary and when you are well, you can research and begin to add dark meat in your diet and not white meat. Avoid all white flour- bleached, this white bleached sugar and flour can irritate your system. Go for natural products like honey, brown sugar, wheat flour-unbleached.
Rule number 8 -Get enough sleep. I struggle with sleeping, so, here you go, sleep,
let me know if this helps. my skin tone is getting better due to changes i have made.
Anthony M – :
I used this product three times, and it just did not have any positive effects. It burned the thin skin near my check bones once (I left it on for about 4 minutes, the other times were between 2-3). This resolved itself with moisturizer in about three days, so be careful because it is a strong product. Overall though, I just did not notice any benefit in skin clarity.
C. Barth (Arkadelphia, AR) – :
Got here very fast! Have only used it twice after the first time my face broke out bad but I was expecting this as it brings everything under the skin that is fixing to erupt out of the skin (it happened to me before with a lighter peel). So far after the 2nd peel it looks a lot better. Skin tone & pores look great. Hoping to see sun spots fade soon. I am very pleased with this product so far.
A. Wong (Sugar Land, TX) – :
This is the first time I’ve ever used any chemical peels at all. In the beginning I was a little skeptical whether I (an unprofessional can use it without any damages to my skin). It was great! Easy to use and really did make my skin a lot smoother with first use! It does hurt a little bit, but bearable. Make sure you follow instruction and do by the PH balancer or aloe vera.
R. Wright (Saint Georges, DE) – :
I have had many peels from the Dermatologist office and this was just as good but alot cheaper . I left the peel on for 5 minutes the first time without much stinging and a few days later I did have a little peeling . I will leave on the same length of time again and slowly increase the time . I do feel this is a professional product and will purchase again.
V. Brookins (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) – :
Excellent! service. I was hestitate about using the product at first. But after the first use I could see a visable difference in my face complextion. ( brighter and smoother) although, it was not a lot it did lighten my dark spots. I have used this product for a second time and the results are even better. I will be returning customer. Thank you.
A. Grinaldoburritt (Waterford, NY) – :
Rollon is perfect for touch ups. I did not have any problems with getting the product to roll on. I was a bit concerned about that because another purchaser had mentioned that. Maybe they corrected that problem.
Kezia – :
I have been using this product for a month now in attempt to remove dark spots caused by acne scarring. I haven’t seen any results as yet. How many times per week should I use this product to see results?
A. Bucci (New York) – :
This is not irritating to my skin. I love it, it revitalizes it, exactly what I was hoping for. It helps to rid of those small unwated, wrinkles and keep skin firm and pores small. I would highly recommend this
Chuleria – :
I hag a baby and my belly looked really bad after birht. I used glycolic acid before on my face and I had such a good experience that I decided to use it on my belly, my belly was completely dark and now it is taking its color back and with just three weeks of use, I can really see the difference. Worth every penny.
LWood – :
The product didn’t do anything for the problem I wanted corrected. My skin still has excess pigmentation in the same places as before. I found the product useless.
FruityLuvR – :
I had been using the 20% salacylic peel for three weeks now. It was kind of weak, but definitely brightened my olive skin tone up, so i ordered this stuff. I did a salacylic pre peel than I left the glycolic on for 6 minutes,i could of left it on longer but i did not want to risk anything happening. I washed it off, its tingling a bit. Maybe my skin is a thicker than i thought. I responded better to salacylic peel , so i might just get a stronger one, rather than ordering a stronger glycolic I am very light skinned african american if that matters.
Nermeen – :
Been using it for over 1 month. It stings real bad and leaves my face burning, itchy and red, I’ve gotten lots of peels in the past and never got that. My skin hasn’t improved much just got drier and flaky (which led to clogged pores and break outs)
L. Schultz (Reading, PA) – :
I was a little scared to try this at home, but once I did, I was amazed with the results. I saw results right away – slightly tightened skin, overall glow to my skin, and much less oil in my t-zone. I’ve been alternating the Glycolic acid with the Salicylic acid – using each once per week (3-4 days apart from each other). I absolutely LOVE this product, and wish I had used it sooner.
A. Campos (Beverly, MA) – :
Well it’s acid, specially with this concentration which makes the product very effective. It erased 80% of the blackheads on my nose and now it’s reducing the texture on my skin. Making it very smooth and vivid. I highly recommend this product.
A. Carrasquero (Jacksonville, Florida USA) – :
Although, I am blessed with fairly good skin when I hit my 40′s things changed a lot. I have a number of large brown spots around my face. I have been told it is hyperpigmentation common for women in their 40′s and of latin complexion. Anyways, I tried this glycolic peel not really expecting much. In fact, I really thought it wouldnt work and I would return it. Well, it does work. Hyperpigmentation is not gone but honestly my skin looks good, fresh and plump. Brown spots are a great deal lighter. I use mineral makeup in the morning and walk out the door. The spots were not easily covered before even with a heavy base makeup. Spots lightened a great deal the first two month of use. I have been using this product now for 4 months and I think it has done its work. I am ready for the 50%. Lastly, I think it helps your other products work better. I use Olay regenerist and since applying the peel every 10 days, I feel like my moisturizer really soaks in and my mineral makeup goes on better. Important things to keep in mind, it tingles a bit and you must stay out of the sun. Also, you must use a good moisturizer right after.
JANEY “THE O.C WOMAN” (SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY, CA) – :
I’ve been using this product for over 1week now. Started off with 2 minutes and it did not do much, so increased my time to 4minutes every 1 or 2 days. I am 51 years old and have good looking skin for my age. I have been thru many peels, lasers, etc., so my face is used to chemicals. I have only one small brown spot, because I
use sunscreen daily and stay out of the sun, and am hoping that this product will eventually Fade my brown spot.
At my age, to not have to use any foundation is amazing
Hi (Someplace) – :
This is not going to clear up any serious spots or scars for the majority of people. I think it is like a strong exfoliator at best. I’ve had professional peels at dermatologists and they are very expensive for very little to almost no visible results. This is a nice option for people to save money and do it at home. I’m not sure if it’s this particular gel peel, but I have done self peels before in the past and those felt much stronger. I couldn’t feel serious tingling on my skin with this unless I really put a lot of the product on. I have very sensitive skin as well. Your skin will feel a bit tighter after and this helps remove some of the dead/dry skin cells, but it will not give you a new complexion. I suspect a lot of the people here already have near perfect skin. Of course when your skin is already flawless it’s only going to get better with this. But for those with real acne and scarring, it is nothing short of a struggle to repair it back to normal. I’ve never used a salicylic acid peel before so that will be my thing to try next…
syzygy – :
I have an unusual skin condition, for which a glycolic acid peel was recommended by a university dermatologist. I decided to try this on my own.
It is not difficult to use. It just didn’t produce a peel or decrease the hyperpigmentation associated with my condition. I have ordered, and am now using, a 50% solution, which I will try for a few weeks. If that doesn’t work, I’ll move up to a 70% solution.
I don’t fault the product, in that my condition is difficult to treat, and even the 70% solution may be ineffective.
Jenn – :
Using this product is like having a professional facial! I recommend this product for women who want to target wrinkles. You will know it’s working because it does sting/tingle a bit!!
Hill – :
I used this stuff exactly how it said on the directions for months and i did not see one improvement at all, in fact my skin looked worse after using this peel.
Zac – :
Over the summer, somehow I got terrible acne. It included whiteheads, cysts, and acne scars all over my face.
I tried this last night, barely used any (~2ml for whole face) and the next morning I woke up and was stunned, about 40% of my scars were faded and pimples were gone. My forehead cleared up 70%. I’m now using this every day and hope to get a stronger dose when I’m done. The gel itself is a blueish tint and smells strong. I don’t know what I would’ve done without this. I’ve even used the derma-roller (very painful).
T. Gibbs – :
Ok I love this product because it definitely works. Now let me explain work because some people (to include myself at one point) expect products like this to be miracles in a bottle. This is partly because most people with skin “issues” aka acne have struggled many years either trying to clear up the acne or rid themselves of the ugly scars they leave behind. I fall into both categories, with oily acne prone skin, and with every type of acne scar you can think of (hyper-pigmentation, boxcar scar, ice pick scar, rolling scars, and large pores). Now this stuff is by no means strong enough to rid anyy acne scars except for hyper-pigmentation and definitely large pores and fine wrinkles. Do NOT expect this product to do anything to the other more textured scars. For textured and/or very old scars, try lasers, dermabrasion, stronger peels like TCAs or a combination of these. Before trying this glycolic peel, I tried dermabrasion treatments, pixel lasers, and various Rx grade meds to peel the skin and promote cell turnover. I can say this glycolic peel has been the most effective, especially in comparison to its cost. For the pixel I paid $3k for 6 treatments, with 2 to 3 days of down time with decent peeling. I paid $700 for 6 treatments of micro dermabrasion treatments with no downtown but with no results other than the immediate swelling that gives the impression your pores and scars are softer. Anyway… Ive used this peel since the summer. I use every 7 days for 4 weeks then a month or so I alternate with a salicylic acid to control my acne. I have seen amazing results, as I said with pores, fine lines, pigmentation, and just overall texture. The results were as early as my 3rd session. However, again, please do not expect this product to rid deeper textured scars. Even if you layered this stuff it wont significantly improve deeper textured scars. I have now worked my tolerance up with this product that I am now considering a TCA peel for my deeper scars as I heard it does a great job. However, there is great caution with this product on African American skin (such as mine). So I think I may continue to work up to 50% glycolic and continue with a month rest then 20% salicylic for a month. I am also considering dermaroller for my deeper scars but Im a bit afraid of those. So Im sticking with peels until I become unconvinced.

Great product….very easy to use. The product works and gave me great results! My skin looks amazing.
I will buy it again
Thanks Amazon for the wonderful service.

When I put this product on I literally don’t feel that it does anything. Maybe I just need a stronger dose?
cst000000 – :
This is a really good product. It was my first peel and I think it is a good one to start with. You really need to follow the directions. Don’t freak out if it starts to burn, it is suppose to. Apply it around nose, lips and eyes last. Don’t leave it on over 1 minute the first time. You can always do it longer the second time. My skin is very smooth and make-up goes on very nicely. I have gotten lots of complements lately that I “Look Good!” Now I am trying the 70% but I am not sure I like it any better. It burns a lot more and is very drying. I might just stick to the 35%.
TheChucklersWife – :
I have only used this one time, but LOVE it so far! In fact, I loved it so much that I ordered another bottle to send to my sister to try! A great product for only around $1 per treatment.
I used it last night and this morning the large pores on my cheeks near my nose and the ones on my nose, which are usually quite large, are at least half the normal size. My skin is generally fairly oily, but today it seems perfectly normal. It is not red or dry at all. The fine wrinkles that were forming around my eyes are completely gone today and the deeper ones on my forehead look much softer already! I am in my mid 30′s and have not used glycolic acid except in a 5% scrub several years ago so I wasn’t sure how long to leave it on for the first time. I decided to go with 3 minutes because after 1 minute, it did not tingle or burn at all. After rinsing, my nose was slightly red but within 20 minutes it was completely normal again. It was very easy to use and the instructions that are included are very detailed.
Rabogy22 – :
The product seems to been reducing the lines on my forehead significantly. It does not give me any irritation at all.
Shelliemarie_c – :
I bought this item just to get rid of some skin discoloration and slight wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. I had no idea what it would do for the milia under my eyes. I have had the milia under my eyes since I was a teenager. I have tried to get rid of it by warm clothes and popping, but only wound up with a bruises under my eye. So,for years I have just left it alone, even though I hated it. Within 4 applications of the 35% glycolic acid it is almost gone!! When you first apply it little red bumps come up on your face,it seems to mainly be where there is a lot of crud underneath. When the red bumps faded under my eyes,no more milia there. I find it amazing, because I have dealt with this my whole adult life as I am 40 now. I love this stuff so much. I plan on trying some of the other peels. I never leave reviews, but thought this was important, because it could help others with this same issue.
G. Edmunds (Albuquerque, NM) – :
I’ve only used the product twice. It does tingle, but after seeing no reddness after a couple minutes use the first time, I left in on 10 minutes the second. Luckily, I have no reddness, but I can’t say my skin looks noticeably different either. I’ll continue to use. I do think the product will help over time, improve the skins condition. For the price, I think it’s a good product.

I’ve been getting facials and chemicals peels in salons for years now, and this is exactly the same chemical and same result. Not too harsh, doesn’t sting. (The enzyme peel I use before it stings more, exactly like it always did in-spa.) A great entry level peel. Instructions are very clear. Neutralizes easily and safely with water. Do not use a fan brush – you cannot fit it into the bottle, and will have to pour the solution out into a bowl, and waste product. Use a narrow paintbrush small enough to fit into the neck of the bottle for greatest efficiency. I suggest steaming your pores first (cleanse your face in a long hot shower, stand around, don’t scrub) then following with an enzyme mask, (I like alba naturals papaya enzyme for at home use, lots of spas sell good pumpkin enzyme ones but the sting more) followed by this, then rinse well and mositurize deeply. Fine lines and blemishes GONE! This peel is mild enough that your skin probably won’t ACTUALLY peel off either. Mine is feeling healthy enough to do my own extractions afterwards. Don’t forget to use an spf of at least 30 for a week following!
S. Gillespie (Baltimore, MD United States) – :
I love getting glycolic peels at the spa, but time and money are a limiting factor. I tried this out last night and am so happy! I washed my face with a gentle cleanser, used alcohol as a toner as the package recommended. I used a brand new make up sponge to apply the thick liquid (almost the consistency of corn syrup) and waited 4 minutes. They recommend starting with 1, but the tingling was so gentle and being a veteran of glycolic peels, I felt my skin could handle it. I rinsed off with lots of water and put on a nice night moisturizer. My face felt like I’d just come from the spa – squeaky clean and light. I can’t wait to see the continued results as I ‘d never been able to afford the series of 6 weekly treatments the spa recommends. Try it!
L. White (Wyandotte, MI) – :
I have applied this two times, and left on 1 minute the first time and 3 minutes the second time. My skin feels smooth and looks good after the applications, I will continue to increase the time up to 8 minutes and see how it makes my skin look. Will by from this seller again.
3times3 (Virginia) – :
I’m on my second bottle of this and it just works. I follow the instructions to the letter, and moisturize very well afterwards (actually, I use a moisturizing mask someone bought for me and then use lotion).
It’s a little painful when on my face, but not so bad that I cannot bear it. A little discomfort is probably to be expected, after all, since I am putting acid on my face. I am up to about 5 minutes per treatment and it is not bad.
It makes my skin smoother, which is great, since I am approaching 40 and can use all the help I can get. I would recommend it. Just follow the instructions carefully! They are provided for a reason.
K. Davidson – :
Disclaimer: If you have never had a peel from a pro: go now. Find out what is recommended for your skin and have it done by a pro first so you know what to expect and the full process. Find out what the differences are and what each acid is intended for. Then, read the bad reviews and use that knowledge to make your purchase. Chances are the bad reviews are from users that didn’t use the product for what it was intended, didn’t follow instructions, or had high expectations.
Keep this in mind: If you attempt to cut your grass with a Lamborghini its not going to work well. If you bake a pie for 3 hrs its not going to taste good. Pretty simple people.
I am very happy with the gel peel. I have had several pro varying pro peels and this seems to be in line with the results I get from a glycolic at an office. I started with 1 min on my chin line to ensure I didnt have any negative results. I have now used it about once a week for 4 weeks and have a few times felt exfoliation of skin cells when washing my face but have never peeled. I never have peeled when having a glycolic in an office either though.
Great value and so nice to use at home for quick & mild results. Doesn’t come with many warnings or instructions as it is intended for professional use. Thats why I -1 star. Although its for professional use, obviously people buy it for themselves. A few warnings would be nice just as a reminder. Its for your face and its acid! Do your research. No Retin A product use for weeks in advance (your skin will feel like its burning off because it is and you will have brown scabs) stay out of sun, leaving on longer will not make you have perfect skin for your wedding in 4 days, etc, etc.
You may want something like this to apply Connoisseur Badger Fan Brush, #2 and this for after
Neutralizer skin pH balancer helps balance the pH of your skin for the safe and effective neutralization after peeling. ( I just picked those particular two randomly).
kellyc – :
This product is great for a beginner! I use it once a week for 4 weeks and it has worked wonders. I get compliments of how my face looks “fresher”. Only leave it on for 10min max (if your skin can handle that) then rinse with cool water right away. I usually spritz water mixed with aloe vera juice on it then I apply suntan oil (Hawaiian Tropic)on it. It is best if you use a great moisturizer on it (Nivea). For myself, I can appy oil to my face and I don’t break out. You will feel your face burning up a bit plus it may turn red like a sunburn. That will eventually go away in a couple of hours. Always keep your skin moisturized after doing this. You will feel your skin tight (sunburn feel). I apply it with the fan brush (I have a review on that as well). I will just pour a bit out of the bottle right onto the brush. Don’t do too much. A little goes a long way. Start with your forehead and work down your face. Don’t get the product in the cracks of your nostrils. It stings then it becomes raw (I learned the hard way). Make sure you get your temples (crowsfeet) but not too close under the eyes. This was such a great idea to purchase this because to get this type of facial done in a salon say 4 x over 4 weeks would cost around $300 (not incl tax & tip). This bottle & brush came to $28. What a steal. Plus, I can do it in my own home and get some stuff done around the house when it is on my face drying.
Tele Chick (Reno, NV) – :
I have been doing this peel for about 5 weeks, now, once a week. This first time I was very conservative, l minute only. I didn’t get red but the net day a friend commented that my skin looked good. I am now up to 7 minutes. So far I haven’t peeled or even gotten red, but it has pulled up some blemishes that I didn’t know were under there, as well as a dark spot which is now getting smaller and less noticeable. I LOVE this product. Am a veteran of a number of stronger peels as well as different laser procedures. I am out in the sun a lot, which is why I do this on Sunday. My skin is looking better than it has in a while and seems to be getting better over time. After rinsing this off I cover my face with either Bio Oil or Cetaphil cream (I have rather thin, delicate skin, but not sensitive). I bought a fan brush to apply this with, but have also used my fingers. You don’t need to use a lot. My best compliment to date is that a friend who hadn’t seen me for a while wanted to know my beauty secrets! I told her about this product and she is anxious to try it herself. Great value!
Jami – :
I am 46 years old and have been using this product for a little over a month, once a week. Today I was outside, with no makeup on and in bright sunlight. My 27 year old son was in the driveway cleaning my car. He and I were talking and he looked at me and said my skin was beautiful. Now anyone that has a grown son will tell you the last thing they expect from their son is a comment like that. 27 year old son’s just don’t look at their moms. So, I guess this stuff must be working. I have been blessed with fairly good skin, but I was starting to see some signs of aging. I have a fairly light complexion that burns easily. I have used sunscreen since I was 13 and I have never had a problem with acne. So I cannot say how it works with acne and all that goes along with that. I started using this product because my skin was starting to look a little dull and flaky. This has taken care of those little problems.
I will continue to use for a few more weeks and take a month off before I use again. My skin is smooth, not shiny or tight. If you expect results right way you will be disappointed. Just be patient. Start slowly and use as instructed.

Based on reviews, I didn’t want to go too strong.
This is way too weak for me. I can barely feel it. My face feels a little smoother after words, but its not strong enough to get rid of any scarring,
Im going to try the Glycolic Acid 70%
M. Hayda (Wappingers Falls, NY) – :
I just got the package last night and used the gel this morning. I followed the directions and allowed it to stay on my face for 8 minutes. It tingled, but did not sting. My face feels smooth and looks fresh
C. conyers – :
Im not even sure what is in this bottle but whatever it is it hasnt produced even the slightest amount of difference.
Ive left it on for ten minutes and barely felt a tingle so I really have to question the validity of the ingredients.
Ive tried varying the amount I put on and the time Ive left it on my skin but have not noticed any difference whatsoever.
T. Brannen “TLB333″ – :
This is a great product, but I bought the neutralizer from Cellbone and I got a free 1oz sample of the peel from them and have just had a great experience with my orders from them. I think I’ll be buying from Cellbone from now on, but this product has been great, as well.
C. Foster (Valley Cottage, NY) – :
Great product. After one use (8 mins) I can see the fine lines I have on my forehead are lessened, which is pretty impressive. The skin on my face had a dull and slighty rough sort of appearance, and this has also gone after the first use. Very happy! Full instructions are on the website, but basically work your way up to an 8 minute application. A fan brush works well for the application.
Reader 2319 (Lodi, CA) – :
A few months ago I had a laser hair removal appointment that got canceled at the last minute and to make it up to me they gave me a free facial, it was my very first one and she used a 10% glycolic acid on my face, left it on for a couple of minutes and it was like magic, I loved the way my skin looked and felt afterwards. I am way way too cheap to get regular facials so I started looking online to find glycolic acid so that maybe I could do it myself and I found this product. The first time I used it I only left it on for a couple of minutes and I burned my face in the area around my mouth. I also noticed that for the next week my skin was really really flaky and I used a lot of moisturizer and I used Nexxus botanoil on my face. A week later I tried it again being really careful to only leave it on for a couple of minutes and no burn but a lot of flaking. It’s been a few months now and I have faithfully been using it about once a week. I can leave it on a lot longer now and it doesn’t flake like it used to. The difference in my skin is unbelievable!! If you looked closely at my skin before you could see some black heads and clogged pores, those are completely gone now and my pores look like they are shrinking (I know that they are not because as far as i know you cannot shrink pores). I have had several close friends ask what I have been using on my skin because it looks so “”dewey”". I have had several people recently tell me that I have the most amazing skin and that it looks like porecelin. It’s all due to the glycolic acid peels. I highly recommend it and I wish I would have know about it sooner. It’s my new beauty secret. I am ordering the 70% because I have some lines on my forehead that I would like to go away. I will write a review for that in a few months and let you all know how that goes.
Also want to mention that it also works great on acne. My 12 year old daughter is starting to struggle with some acne on her face and we have used different acne fighting products that haven’t worked very well. I put the glycolic acid on the areas of her face where she has acne and it really helps clear it up, better than anything else we have tried.

I have combination skin and deal with acne in my t-zone, particularly around THAT time of the month. my first experience: stung a little upon initial application and then feels fine, washed off with lots of cold water and applied moisturizer (which I can never do without breaking out but I thought I’d be extra careful doing an acid peel).. face was a little red, but nothing terrible. I could have gone out after the fact and nobody would have been any wiser. I had a few pimples the next day but they went away within a day or two. I kept up with the applications and am now on my 10th. no more breakouts after application at all. my skintone is clearing up. if I get the rare pimple, it’s gone within a day or two. pores are visibly smaller. skin texture is better too! I love this stuff. I’m 27 and am so glad that I finally found something that works! All I can say is to give it a solid chance, don’t expect a miracle after one application but if you keep at it, you will be so glad:)
taylor (Arizona) – :
I had this dark spots coming on my cheek and upper lip, Glycolic is the only thing helping it. I do recommend that you be careful, use it for about 3 minutes and increase as time goes, but no more than 5 minutes. wash face really good, and moisterized a lot. I’m 44 and you will never know that, I know for a fact that the Glycolic help tremendously.
R. Greenberg (Dallas, TX) – :
Not only did it arrive quickly, this is one of the few skin csrebproducts which really makes a difference in my skin. I alternate this with the salicylic peel and my acne-prone aging skin has never looked better. Just take it slowly or you can burn yourself
D. Platt (Sterling Heights, MI) – :
Fabulous product! I have very bumpy skin. 75-80% improvement in skin texture after 2 treatments with no redness or dryness. 1st treatment 4 min, 2nd one was 6 min. Will definitley order again and again!!!
Summertime Love – :
I tried this product today. I left it on for five minutes and it literally burned small holes through my skin! Some of them were even bleeding a little bit, and the rest of my face was red. Based on the reviews, I don’t think I left it on for too long and I have normal to sensitive skin.
Anyway, I’m not saying it’s not a good product. Obviously it works for a lot of people. Just make sure you don’t leave it on too long!! I wouldn’t leave it on for more than a minute, two minutes max.
G. Padron (USA) – :
I liked the glow and smooth texture after using this product. My original intention was to lighten the sun damage spots and improve fine wrinkles. I don’t have sensitive skin but tried this strength anyway, as recommended and I’m now hoping to step up to the next level (50%). There was mild stinging and I only used it once a week. Perhaps I could have used it more frequently. I did see a mild lightening of spots but rather than continue this strength, I’m opting for stepping up and try that on my non-sensitive skin.
ankakaro – :
I’ve been using various products for my skin over the years and … this is one of the best products I’ve ever had. It helped to calm my skin and leaves it in better state as it was before. I would recommend this product to a friend.
Noelle – :
I bought this in June and my bottle is nearly gone. I started out with just 1 minute once a week and have increased to 8 minutes every couple of days. I have noticed my skin texture is better. My skin feel smoother and friends and family have noticed. I have large pores, and break out a lot. Using this peel has improved my break outs. When I notice that I am getting pimples I do the peel and it clears things up. I don’t have perfect, flawless skin now by any means but I think this has helped my skin look and feel better. I am going to get another bottle. I used to use Jan Marini glycolic wash every day but I have totally replaced that with this peel that is cheaper and works better anyway. I apply with a brush and time it, then rinse it off. I have gotten a little skin sensitivity and a little peeling when I did it on days too close together, but not too bad. Compared to a professional peel I got from my doctor that was extremely painful for many days, made me peel like a snake, but made no difference in my skin, this product is a million times better. I had my sister do it and she likes it too. I am going to try their other stuff now because this one was so good.
Kaitlyn P. – :
I purchased this late 2009 and have been using it for a few months. Then I stopped and restarted using this one time last week. The bottle lasts forever. I had terrible acne when I started using this but it didn’t make it better or worse. It did burn a bit and irritated it but nothing some moisturizer can’t solve. To me, it was ok. Didn’t do anything to my existing acne. I gave it a fair chance and I still do use it once in a blue moon if I feel my skin is dull. It will brighten a bit. But start off slow, as this is powerful stuff (my skin is tough) and build up tolerance to a few minutes. I do mine for 10-13 minutes and wash off. I gave this 3 stars as it is okay. Not sure if there’s a drastic change but it didn’t make it worse.
Sassy Redhead (USA) – :
I have used this twice and already notice a difference in tone and texture. (and i have pretty decent skin already) skin is smoother. i had a pimple that would not go away before, it is almost gone now. love, love, love. it does sting/burn. but not any real redness after. try it!!!! seriously, for the money it is totally worth it. don’t read the bad reviews.
UPDATE: i have used this product about 5 times now. my freckles, sun damage has lightened. my pores around my nose are gone. my skin tone is more even. pimples seem to never really get full blown now. my skin is smoother and younger looking. LADIES (and men) this stuff works. i can only imagine that it is the same type of glycolic peel you receive at a skin care salon, dermatologist. it is totally worth the $20. it is safe, my skin does itch/burn a little while using it but it is not painful. more annoying than anything. get this stuff now!!!!!!!!
luciane – :
I’ve done many glycolic peel facials in the past; thousands of dollars later, my skin changed just a little. So I wasn’t expecting any miracle from this glycolic peel. But to my surprise, buying it was the best decision ever!!! Maybe because using it once a week shows to be more effective than an once a month glycolic peel facial in a spa; or maybe because the products used in facial spas are not as strong; but what I can tell you is that my skin is glowing!!! I’m 35, have moderate acne and lots of black heads, freckles and acne/sun scars. Today I used this peel for the sixth time; and here’s the update: almost no breakouts (since the first application), even skin texture, scars and freckles still there, but much lighter, smaller pores and almost no black heads.
I will continue using it once a week for ten minutes (my skin is “”cured”" so I don’t feel any burning, just some tingling), and won’t ever have a glycolic peel facial in a spa again!!!
I highly recommend this product!!
Mitchster (USA) – :
I bought this glycolic acid peel for my boyfriend. He suffers from occasional acne. He applies the product once a week. It’s been two weeks now. I’m not sure If I’m being impatient or something is suppose to be happening by now. I’m going to keep updating this comment!
L. Bean (Rossville, GA) – :
best skin solution ever!! this is the only stuff that worked for my acne and reduced my freckles. (I only get freckles in the summer; I am fair skin and have a permint blush) but the first time I uses it my skin was so soft! and my color was even. the only bad thing is….it itches. but 8 mins isn’t that bad!!
L. Garot (Green Bay, WI) – :
Rec’d product promptly-very good instructions inc. So far I have used the peel 4 times. I apply every 5 days and have worked up to full 8 min. No stinging, burning, etc. I have brown spots on my cheeks & they are 20-30% better. Also the frown lines between eyebrows look better.
M. Winger “peacock pink” (Madison, WI) – :
I have used this peel once a week since I purchased it 3 weeks ago. My skin does feel softer after use but so far I haven’t seen anything really amazing like some others seem to have experienced. I will however keep using it. I don’t expect anything to work over night. I will probably up the percentage on my next purchase.
A. Henderson (Canoga Park, CA) – :
This peel does just what it is expected to do. I use a fan brush to apply and leave on for 8 minutes and it does sting quite a bit just like the peels you would get at a spa. I then rinse off with baking soda/water with washcloth several times, then apply Cetaphyl moisturizer. By the 3rd day, face is a bit dry/flakey, and then by 5th day, skin looks fab! Smaller pores and smooth/clear skin! Great product for the price and so happy we have access to something they actually use in spas.
N. Ross-Ascuitto (New Orleans, LA) – :
I have used this product only once. There was a noticable brightening of my complexion. My skin burned for the 3 minutes it was on, which was improved by standing under an airconditioning vent, and allowing the air to cool the skin. I recommend following the package directions carefully. I plan to use this weekly.
shopper843539025 – :
Absolutely the best product I’ve used at home over the past 10+ years of battling acne. It will take a layer off of your skin, but in a very gentle way — the first day it will just dry it up a bit and get under your skin, then over the next two days your skin will flake off a little bit when you wash your face or when you rub it, leaving a fresh new layer to glow. I would recommend this to anyone with acne. Very helpful product!
Fitz – :
shipment was incredibly fast. I think this strength is perfect or a ‘starter’, but I’m sure I’ll be moving toward a stronger version of this product after I finish this bottle.
A. Henderson (Canoga Park, CA) – :
So far really liking this product. I plan on doing once a wk for 6 wks & taking 1 mo off. I’ve just comp’d the 4th wk. I leave on for 8 mins & rinse off w/baking soda mixed in cool water. I also apply moisturizer around my eyes prior to applying peel. Once rinsed, I apply a thick moisturizer from Cetaphyl. Notice smaller pores & have had no breakouts since I started this treatment.

Cleared up my middlle aged acne. People think I’m in my 30′s.
June – :
I tried this twice now. I can’t see any difference yet. I have a lot of brown spots on the cheeks. I think I left it on too long before I rinsed it off. I thought I rinsed off very well and put on a good amount of lotion after. I felt stinging during the night. The next morning, the skin around the cheek bone was red and looked like I got scraped. I still like to keep trying this product. Maybe I will use a timer.
Katrina – :
This item is exactly what it is… I really like the effects of glycolic acid. I have fairly sensitive, fairly oily, acne prone, mixed ethnic skin. I think that I will continue to use the 35% on my face, upgrading to a higher percentage for my body. All and all, this product was easy to use, easy to clean off… no major skin issues prior to use (only mild irritation). I will continue to use this product!
D. Smith (St George, UT ) – :
Extremely happy with the speedy delivery and so far, LOVE the product. Will definitely hope to be buying more of it from this seller when I run out. Thank you very much!
R. Goodman (Chandler, AZ) – :
This seller has great shipping times. I did receive my glycolic peel in 3 days. So far, I have used this product twice and just glowing results. The only warning is to be very careful on the 1st use, need to rub the roller a couple of times, then it glides on smoothly. Great overall!

THANKS FOR THIS GREAT PRODUCT!!!! A+ PRODUCT FOR YOUR SKIN
I HAVE TO SAY THAT I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING FOR MY SKIN, HAVING ADULT ACNE AND NOTHING OVER THE COUNTER OR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION HAVE DONE ANY GOOD. I TRIED THIS LAST THURSDAY AND FROM DAY 2 MY SKIN WAS A LOT BETTER, WITH A NATURAL GLOW AND HEALTHY LOOKING, I DIDN’T PEEL BUT AS THE INSTRUCTIONS SAID NOT EVERY ONE WILL PEEL, EVERY SKIN IS DIFFERENT. I APPLIED THE PRODUCT FOR 2 MINUTES, MY ACNE IS NOW A THING OF THE PAST, I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL TONIGHT TO HAVE A TREATMENT AGAIN!!!. I’M PLANNING TO DO A WEEKLY TREATMENT FOR A MONTH, THEN TAKE A BREAK UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR WHEN I WILL RESUME ANOTHER 4 WEEKS TREATMENT. BELIEVE ME THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME!!!
Scarlett’s Mommy “Meg” (Michigan) – :
After reading all the reviews on this product I was very excited to see a dramatic change in my skin. I have done glycolic peels at my dermatologist in years past and this product just doesn’t compare. I have oily skin and a small amount of acne. I have used this product twice now at full strength (full 8 minutes) and it has done absolutely nothing for me. I don’t notice any change in my skin except maybe it has caused more acne problems for me. Save your money, go to a professional instead!
Jacqueline (Georgia) – :
Like many other reviewers here, my skin is oily, acne prone and has sustained some scarring. I cleared my Saturday and applied the peel Friday night before going to bed. I used it according to directions, deviating only by using a tiny fan to minimize the discomfort just as my dermatologist had done in office. After, I rinsed with cool water and baking soda as directed, and applied moisturizer. The next morning, I noticed slight swelling and redness. The second morning, the swelling was gone but my skin was still somewhat sensitive. Just as directed, and as always, after washing my face I applied a SPF15 moisturizer. Day three, nothing! No peeling, slight sensitivity and no noticeable difference. End result, I believe I need a stronger solution.

So good! I’ve been using Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle Pads for about two months and they were pretty good, but they’re only and I wanted some more results (my skin is on the oily side and my pores are somewhat enlarged) so I found this one and am really satisfied with it. My fine lines have diminished, my pores have shrunk and my skin is super smooth! Good stuff, especially for the price.

I have used lots of different peels and skin products over the years. I have used “glytone” and “obagi” products, just to name a couple and I feel that this product is right up there with them. These items are only sold @ Dermatologists offices’ and can cost a fortune. I would highly recommend this product not only for the cost but the results too.

I bought this item one week ago and it was delivered last Saturday. I had a huge cystic pimple on my right cheek that was just getting bigger everyday. I was ready to call the doctor to see about getting it surgically removed. But then I found this product on Amazon and read everyone’s reviews and decided to give it a shot. Exactly this past Saturday, I only have a slight bump that is no longer visable to anyone else. I can just feel it myself. I started off putting it on the affected area for 4 minutes but then the next day I went up to 8 minutes and didn’t have any burning. I highly recommend this product.
SmartGurl (San Diego, CA United States) – :
Very nice skin after. I had no issues with burning or redness after using it. My skin feels smoother and looks better. I am 44, no major skin issues, just a little dry.
Christina – :
It is a good product that you can do it yourself without spending so much $ at a dermatologist’s office. I do it weekly with microdermabrasion and Renova. It’s great to do it yourself and get good results. I’m 43 years old and I looked 10 years younger.
Christina! (Nebraska) – :
I put so much research into this before buying it. I wanted to make sure I got an adequate percentage that will still be effective on my face.
The first night I tried this, I applied it with a brand new makeup brush liberally. I accidentally left it on for 10 minuts and neutralized it with just water. There was a little stinging, but nothing too bad. I did not put moisturizer on. I noticed right away that the nodules/cysts I have from acne on the side of my face were immediately less red and irritated. The cysts have been a problem for me for so many months and it was nice to get some relief finally. I waited a few days, but didn’t see any noticeable peeling. Just peeling on my nose and that’s it. I thought maybe I had done it wrong.
I’ve been able to use this Glycolic Peel daily without any effects other than less acne and less breakouts. My face isn’t even dry or peeling.
Although I was expecting more of an intense peel, I’m still satisfied with this product because of the effect it has on my acne. My face looks less red and swollen from the cysts.
I didn’t factor in my own personal experience and disappointment into the rating because every person has a different genetic structure, so each person will react differently to this acid. Even though this doesn’t do something drastically for me personally, it can still burn the heck out of another person’s face. It all boils down to chemistry and your genetic makeup, every person is different.

the company sent me the wrong product; I’m very unsatisfied with them plus the product is not for my oily skin;
MariCalvi – :
Ive only used this product about three times. My skin is oily and acne prone. First time i used it i noticed a difference right away. The pimples i had at the time were drying up and the scars faded a bit (i have tried numerous scar treatments with little or no noticable improvement). I also noticed a difference in pore size which i really liked. A few people even mentioned they noticed a difference in my skin. I even had my sister try it (she already has good skin, just a few problem areas like uneven skin tone) and noticed an improvement right away. Only reason why i dont give it five stars is the fact that i still do continue to get pimples which is the main reason why i decided to try this product. Overall the other improvements are still good enough for me to continue using this on occation and to keep around.

I had used another 35% Glycolic Product and loved it! My skin glowed for several days, some lightening of dark spots and people said I looked younger after using it three times. After 2 months use I went to re-order and found the company was not longer in business.
I decided to try this product. It did not burn as others have stated. It might sting a bit. The second time I left it on 7 minutes hoping for some results.
It did make me break out the first three times I used it.
After I used it, it looked like I had washed my face with a 10% Glycolic wash. I am very disappointed in this product.
I am hoping the other company will bring back there product.
If anyone can suggest a Glycolic 35-50% that works I would be grateful.
Very disappointed after the great results I got with the other companies 35%!
ERAY581 – :
I was tired of paying an Esthetician 60 dollars plus a month to paint masks on my face, when I was really just after the glycolic peel itself. I found this peel on Amazon and thought “why not?” So glad I did. I have had acne-prone skin most of my teen/adult life. Hitting 30 and still having a problem with acne has been tough. I know that in the past, glycolic peels have helped me keep everything in check. But it’s a lot of time and money to go to an esthetician and even trips to the beauty school add up.
I will admit that immediately following the peel I was disappointed. You don’t “see” a difference at all the day of. However, do this later in the afternoon, stay away from the mirror (once you’re done), and you will be amazed the next day. Literally shrinks pimples up overnight. Granted, some pimples might seem like they are more inflamed than without the peel. Just give it a few days – They WILL dry up. I am doing one a week for six weeks. Just completed my second round three days ago. Really saw a huge difference today. I mean, I saw a difference the day after both peels, but, wow, my skin looks soooooo much better. A lot of the redness is gone, it’s smoother, and the pimples have shriveled up. I think I have maybe 4 that haven’t quite gone away. Cannot wait until next week’s peel! (Btw – did 4 minutes the first peel, 8 minutes the 2nd peel. You might want to go 2 and 4, respectively, if you’ve never done a peel before or haven’t done one in a while).
I am using this in conjunction with my Clarisonic Mia and retin A. Really seeing results and happy! I don’t use my Retin A the day of the peel.
alex (sacramento,usa) – :
My thoughts
pros: it didn’t mess up my skin
cons: everything else
p.s burns badly. make sure to wash it out with a cold water after 1-2 min (depends on the skin)
S. Druyen (Ventura, California ) – :
Said 15 applications. I thought 15 separate bottles as most peels come but in one 30 ml bottle. They recomment 3 cc an application. No syringe to measure & only 10 peels instead of 15. I am afraid to use. 3 ml is a small amout to cover face & I am worried about using too much.
Philip – :
I have acne scar problem and I did go to a dermatologist, who suggest trying chemical peel first but the normal price for a peel is around $100.
So I thought may be I can buy the peeling solution on-line. Bought this one (they also have a higher strength but that can cause hyper-pigmentation)
This strength is not too strong but does have a mild burning sensation on my face when I used it. My skin does peel the next few days but doesn’t peel too badly like a sunburn. Just a mild peeling so I can still go out and to work.
B. Rascona (Burke, VA ) – :
I spent the weekend educating myself before doing my face. Just do not want a disfigured face because I was too eager to apply it. I did test an age spot on my chest and could not believe how difficult it was to see after. This is a spot that has driven me crazy for 6 yrs. Will update when face is done.
Denise – :
I’ve only used it 3 times so far and have increased the time with each application starting with 3 min’s – 8 min’s. 3 minutes did little or nothing but the last two applications left my face feeling slick and smooth. Very little irritation if at all. It’s still alittle early to tell but I am optomistic and being someone who typically skeptical about facial product, I do believethis is going to make some nice changes in my complexion.
A. Johnson (Ridgefield CT) – :
I am a Professional Esthetician (Facialist) and I REALLY like this peel. I honestly have experienced MUCH stronger peels, but this is one that I can use regularly. Some peels out there are WAY too strong and make your skin red and raw. This one makes my skin glow, breaks down blackheads, and smooths the skin’s texture. I literally gave myself this peel an hour before going to a friend’s birthday party. My skin looked especially fresh and healthy! As a professional I recommend people put a teensy dab of vaseline in the corners of the nose and mouth before applying the peel to avoid any after flaking/dryness of the skin in those spots. You also MUST wear SPF when undergoing peels (peels make you more sun sensitive). Be VERY cautious with waxing…don’t wax and peel on the same day. When you’re done washing your peel off you MUST apply a good layer of moisturizer and eye creme to replenish your skin. My only complaint, is that this peel is a little bit runny so I would recommend buying a nylon fan brush to apply this which gives you much more control. Overall it is really a great product and was worth the money. I am going to try a higher concentration next (my skin can take it)!
caramalntlkt – :
I use this peel along with others on a rotating basis. I am a light complexioned african american female with acne & scars and very sensitive skin. After much research I have used this in combination with the lactic and salicylic acid peels, ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I just want to make that clear. All are from skin laboratory and I am having excellent results. After using the glycolic 35 I usually have a series of small blemishes that appear and within 48 hours there is marked improvement of my appearance. I assume the glycolic is brining up acne that is already there. After using these peels I would never consider getting an in office treatment for myself.
This product is great. I suggest reading several reviews, from different sites and knowing exactly what the cause of your skin problems is before marking your expectations. As for me, I expected great results, for the price and quality I don’t know that there is better out there. After using skin laboratory’s peels I have been able to eliminate a lot of the harsh cleansers and copious fade creams that inhabited my cosmetic closet.
Also consider the acne treatments you are already using and more than likely not use them within 48 hours of performing a peel.
J. Whitehead (APO, AE) – :
This product is a great level of glycolic acid to start with. I use it every 4 days. I started with 3 minutes, then moved to 5, now I am on 10 min. My skin is smooth and toned. My lines are starting to become less obvious. I also like that it is a gel because the gel holds itself together on the gauze instead of leaking through on my fingers.
jenM – :
This is a good product if you have mild acne and somewhat oily skin. I have some major acne, but I still saw some benefits from this product. It definitely made my skin feel smoother for a few days after using it. And it does help some pimples come to the surface as well as dry out some that may already be at the surface. Just make sure to put a good sunscreen on for a few days after using this as well as a moisturizer for at least a couple days. Unfortunately, my skin is in need of something that will give it a good peel and really go deep, something that not even a stronger formulation can do for me. But I would use this product weekly in between using a deeper peel just to maintain.
NY Sassy Shopper (Brooklyn, NY United States) – :
Overall, it works well. Much better than the GlycoLac I first bought. My skin has lots of dark spots from breakouts, especially under my chin. This does a better job at helping fade the marks than my DDF Glycolic Toner and I can leave it on longer than the GlycoLac without running screaming for my sink. I have the neutralizer, but I don’t even need it for this peel. I only wish I’d bought a stronger concentration.
Caveat: I don’t recommend this if you’ve never had any kind of peel. I’ve been getting professional peels for ages and I’m an old hand at this. This review is for people like me who have experience with professional peels. Please don’t use this unless you have previous experience with peels, this is a professional strength product.
lettherainfalldown1 – :
As I’m reading all these reviews, it seems like this product is more effective and works faster on acne & scars…neither of which I (thankfully) have…I do have some fine lines that I am trying to minimize (I want to avoid botox/fillers at all costs)…I’ve used it for a couple weeks (once a week, 6 min @ a time) and haven’t really seen any improvement. That being said, I realize that skin takes at least 6 weeks to completely turn over, so I am hoping that the promises these reviews rant about do, eventually, come true. I’m going to keep at it and will hopefully be back with a glowing review in a couple months!
E. Brennan (Norwalk, CT ) – :
I’ve been using this once a week for the past two weeks and definitely see a difference in my skin. Since I don’t have sensitive skin, I usually leave it on for the max of eight minutes and haven’t had a bad reaction. Highly recommend.
C. Graves – :
It worked for me. Ive had it for a few days. But I was a little afraid to try it out…I mean, c’mon…it’s acid…on my face.
But I worked out my fears.
I am a dark-skinned african-american. I never used to break out really. but I recently began using a new moisturizer that broke me out something serious AND made my pores appear big enough to sprout whiskers.
So last night, I applied the Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel with a cotton ball…and left it on for 1 minute. It stung….but as long as I concentrated on something else for that minute…I got through the stinging. The sting actually lessened the longer it stayed on. But I washed it off right after a minute.
After I practically drowned myself in the sink to ensure I had all the acid off and made sure my entire face was neutrilized, all I felt was a slight tingle. I applied some soothing cream and a new moisturizer and went to bed.
I woke in the morning…with NO break out. Smooth skin, all though, a little drier than normal. But SMOOTH. And my pores??? Can barely see them. Its absolutely amazing. My skin is soooo smooooth. My break out eliminated…overnight. And I usually have really oily skin but my skin seems balanced. I havent had to use my oil blotting papers today OR apply extra moisturizer. Perfectly balanced and smooth.
I WILL continue to use this!
Anthony Reed (Albuquerque, NM) – :
Stop paying a dermatologist or “beauty spa” all of your hard-earned cash when you can use this to minimize wrinkles! I’ve used it twice so far– every two weeks, as recommended– and can already tell a difference. It does NOT create miracles. Deeper wrinkles do not go away. However, it’s greatly minimized part of my large (and deep) forehead wrinkle and helped significantly with others. There’s absolutely a noticeable difference. By the way, the burn is not pleasant, but it’s tolerable… and what’s nice about this is that it’s up to YOU how long it’s on. Even if you can only leave it on for less than a minute, using this product is still far more economical than anything you’d get done elsewhere.
JayRay – :
I had dark areas from over exposure to the sun including a very embarrassing “mustache”. I thought I would give this stuff a try before I spent over 1000 on a laser peel. I took several months, but I only leave it on for 10 min once a week at the most. The dark spots are gone. Really – this stuff works.
Denise – :
I use the glycolic acid about 2-3 times a week. It is the only product that can
help my skin look better, it keeps your pores clear and small and gives your skin
a better skin tone. I am using a 15% glycolic acid facial cleanser everyday but using this product in between makes it even better without drying my skin. I love it and wouldn’t use anything else.
N. Agnew – :
The Glycolic acid is great! BE CAREFUL, it is very easy to burn your skin, as I’ve done that at least 5 times. I recommend using vasline around the sensitive areas (under eye, mouth creases, under nose and near eyebrows) to ensure none of the peel gets in those areas. The salicylic acid is great for eradicating bacteria causing acne & eliminately oily skin.
K. Jansson (Fairfax, CA ) – :
Item came quickly and packaged well. I have used this product three times since its arrival. It has a slight burning, tingling feel, but nothing severe. No skin irritation at all. I do not have problem skin, but I have noticed a decrease in pore size. I have noticed a younger, glowing appearance, which is what I am looking for, ( who isn’t!!!!)
Bri – :
I really like this peel, and it has become a weekly treat for my skin.
I like this because I have SUPER sensitive skin and dermatological peels make me peel so badly that it has the opposite effect on my skin. It is strong enough yet gentle enough for me. HOWEVER, I made the mistake of applying this one tim after I washed my face with my Clarisonic. Don’t do this! It made the product too strong and burned the skin by my eye.
Don’t underestimate the power of this peel. I love it, but use with caution!
A. Reese (Melbourne, FL ) – :
Love the product, love the service. I’ll order again. I had an annoying mark on my face from a laser procedure and it just would not go away. After using the glycolic peel 30% twice, the mark had nearly completely faded, was no longer slightly raised, and can easily be covered with makeup. Hopefully, with continued use, it will disappear completely. Thanks.
M. L. Williams (Bloomfield, NJ United States) – :
I have just completed my third treatment and my skin looks amazing. I admit I do have great genes but I am middle aged and my skin began doing the “”middle aged hormonal freakout thing.”" I had some fine lines, hyperpigmentation and micro comedones that needed to be dealt with.
This product has helped me deal with those issues. I used the 35%. My skin is thick and oily so I left it on for a total of 20 minutes. I did not burn and I never actually “”peeled”". A couple of my problem spots did flake a little but that was it. I followed each treatment with a generous slathering of Dermalogica Power Recovery Masque and got incredible results.
The microcomedones are gone, the appearance of fine lines and pores has been reduced, my skin is smooth, and the hyperpigmented spots are lightening. My skin has a nice healthy glow.
That is all I wanted from a glycolic peel. I can’t wait to see what results the next three treatments yield. I am very pleased with my purchase.
F. Allwood (KENNER, LA) – :
Just now I have only used the Glyco-Lac/60, and one time. It was great for the first time. I only left it on my skin for 1 minute, and my face feels great. Easy to apply with the recomended brush, and as soon as you rinse it, you can see the difference. Great.
Jody from Wisconsin (Wisconsin) – :
I WAS EXCITED ABOUT GETTING THIS PRODUCT, BECAUSE I’VE BEEN GOING TO GET THEM DONE & THEY COST A LOT! THE 1ST TIME I USED IT I GOT LITTLE WHITE PIMPLE LOOKING THINGS ON MY FACE. NOT BAD, BUT I DIDN’T LIKE IT.
lmcatherine – :
This product is mild and very effective, from my perspective. I have noticed that after using it for a bit, i have no reaction any longer with the burning sensations that would last for a few short minutes. My skin texture is clearer and more visably softer looking than before I started to use it.
L. Mulvey – :
An excellent product. When used as directed – works very well. Good, fast delivery. I recommend it to all my friends!
K. Garrett (Brooklyn, NY) – :
I’ve ordered from this seller quite a few times already and have had nothing but pleasant experiences. My orders always arrives well before the anticipated delivery date, and the condition is pristine. I look forward to doing business with them many more times in the future.

At 51 my face was starting to show my age. Crows feet around my eyes, deep ridge wrinkles in my forehead and between my eyebrows. I started with the 35% solution for 6 weeks working my way up to 10 minutes. After my 2nd peel my ex-husband looked at my face and said I looked 10 years younger and wanted to know if I was injecting botox! That’s how great I looked. The 3rd day after each peel I could see incredible results. I don’t have any wrinkles or lines around my eyes at all anymore. Even the dark circles under my eyes are less noticeable. The deep creases in my forehead are way less visible. This stuff is amazing. Now all my friends and the ladies I work with are doing it. I’m using the 50% solution now hoping to further reduce the creases in my forehead. There was no peeling or redness with the 35% solution but I do have redness with the 50% solution. It goes away overnight however.
Jack-E – :
I have used this product 4 times, so far and there has been a dramatic difference in my hyper-pigmentation. My scars are much lighter now.

I’m not usually the type of person that writes reviews, but I feel I need to in this case!
I have never used such an EFFECTIVE product in my life that actually delivers *exactly* what it says it will!
I saw this peel had so many 5 star reviews… I thought I’d give it a try & I’m jolly *delighted* I did!!!
This glycolic peel is worth every penny!!! I have spent thousands of dollars on products trying to get the results that this peel gives…. Only if I had known about this sooner!!
I have used the peel x3 times now & i continue to be *dazzled* by the results!!!
I have had very problematic skin with cystic acne since I was 13, my skin went so crazy at one point (I actually had a solid beard of cystic acne on my face & neck) & had to go on two rounds of accutane
The main thing I was really hoping for with this product is that my skin would be more radiant, less acne, faded scarring, firmer skin, less fine lines on my forehead, smaller pores, (I know I’m asking ALOT)
I’m NOT exaggerating!!!! I actually think my skin appears plumper too!!!
But it’s *EXACTLY* what I got!
I’m absolutely *OVER THE MOON* with this peel & will be most definitely be continuing using it!!!
I get *super* excited the day I get to apply my peel …. After i use it…. I actually can’t stop staring at my skin in the mirror because I’m just so *AMAZED & DELIGHTED* with the results!!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product to everyone!!!
Hope this helps you lovelies

I experienced no peeling. For me the acid is not strong enough to make my skin peel. After I use it, it does leave my skin looking brighter the day after.
S. Rautiola (Michigan) – :
The Salicylic Acid works great to clean my skin — leaves a fresh look and keeps pores cleaner than anything I have used over many years.

I have tried this twice now but I have not seen in great results. I did notice my skin seemed to be very soft but that is it. I left it on for 6 minutes with 2 passes the first time and 8 minutes with 3 passes the second time. It did sting both times so it seemed like it was working. Maybe I need something stronger?
Tonya – :
Great peel for moderate hyper-pigmentation. Regular use produces excellent results. I get compliments on my skin all the time!
J. Dollar (SC) – :
SUPER PRODUCT! Previous reviews are correct, saw immediate improvement after first treatment. No irritation and have very sensitive, fair, eczema type skin. I am still very careful because, products like this should be used with respect and caution, as with any product containing chemicals. Love it!
N. Remy (IL) – :
Hasn’t worked at all; according to the past reviewer I feel no tingling at all…maybe it’s a low dose for me (i’m a light-skinned african american) and i thought a low dose would be right but I might have a bad batch or something

I have only used this product a few times and already I have noticed a difference in my skin. It appears smoother and tighter. I have had ALOT of sun in the past and this seems to help with the fine lines.

I have been looking for a glycolic acid for a while now and was thrilled when I found this one. I have used 35% peel Glycolic acid a while ago and, once I learned to use it properly, it worked wonders. This product did the same. The very first time I used it, my rough face smoothed out– soft to the touch (like a baby’s bottom). I use it more often and for a longer time, because I know what to look for and my skin is accustomed to the product’s processes. My daughter (18) however, uses it as instructed and finds it does what she needs it to do.

I have been wanting to do a home-self peel but was always reluctant. It seems the safety issues of what if…got in my way.
looking back- on this particular product for my skin tone. I just smile. I have olive complication, I have Regular skin not to oily, not to dry. i am wanting to get rid of old skin cells, im a little bit older maybe- I can say to this strength after the 1st time and the the other times Ive used it now,I will be looking for stronger strength. Probably the glycolic 50 maybe even 70 but i will check reviews before i decide.
Before I give my details I will say I did have a spa do a light peel one time. I liked that. this product is less strength to me than the light peel in the spa.
I applied the glycolic/35 peel to clean dry skin- the very 1st time nothing but very little tingling around the outter nose. I left it on about 3 minutes. I applied 1 coat-
I felt slight very slight tingling on cheeks that went away instantly, the tingling around the outter nose – stayed a bit longer. VERY do-able.
THE other times Ive applied it I make 3 passes, I just leave it on for like 4 min i don’t really feel any tingling but what i described already each time, so i reapply it, wait, then reapply it again, then im set.4 min later- i wash it off pat dry, use my favorte hydra cream~ and my skin feels smooth and hydrated. so nice & refreshing.
IT DOES NOT TURN FROST WHITE. like the spa. no fan required for me anyway. Im good. hope this helps someone else – that was afraid of burning sensation- You can try a spot and see on your hand and then a small inconspicious place if long bangs, try on forehead. thats what I did at first.
I am moving up – but i would recommend this product for an allover every night routine- no peeling at all. just refreshed and hydrated and very smooth skin. My skin is not sensitive or irritated easily either. if that helps.
S. Warner (Salt Lake City) – :
This was my first time using a peel, I left this on for five mins because it took that long to feel a tingle. I have used store bought glyco products in the past and this was stronger but I got the same results. I am satisfied with this and look forward to continued use.
K. Mestousis (Houston) – :
I had no problems with the seller, they were great. However, I don’t really feel like the product is very good. I’m not sure if I should have purchased the 50% peel or if the product line isn’t very good.
Steph – :
i have recently started using this in addition to other skin care products i purchased on Amazon. My skin improved so much and looks amazing, even better than when i used to get professional treatments and facials, when the price is about 100 times less! i usually deep clean my skin about three times a week with a facial scrub and brush. and i use the glycolic gel peel once or twice a week. REMEMBER to use sunscreen and moisturizer every day. The result will surprise you as it did to me.
litdimples – :
I used the glycolic peel the first night i received it, I left it on for 4 minutes and was amazed at the results the next morning. My skin was smooth and the pores just seemed to be smaller. First i thought it was just my imagination and wishful thinking, but after the second application four days later, my skin looked even better. Great product, just follow the direction.
Jean – :
I’m glad I read someone else’s review where they warned to take it off as soon as it started to burn. If I had kept it on 1-2 minutes, I would have been in trouble. Skin came off in sheets, like a sunburn, and was flaky for about a week. Now, my forehead is as smooth as glass.
Dog5lover – :
This product really seemed to make my tired skin look better after a few uses. It was much gentler than I thought it would be; I have very sensitive skin and had no irritation from it at all. I used it exactly as the instructions recommended and am happy with the results. The results are sublte and take a few weeks to notice, but I do see a difference. I would definitely purchase this again. It’s so much more affordable than having a chemical peel done in a dermatologist’s office!
A. Marshall (Utah) – :
Product arrived as expected; however, w/ regard to packaging, I used scissors to cut the packaging open and later realized I cut through the instruction pamphlet. On the flip side, there was no unnecessary bulk in packaging and I think that’s the bigger issue. So, no complaints.
L. Carlson (Seattle) – :
I’ve only used the glycolic acid three or four times, and I’m only up to about four minutes (adding one minute with every application)…so far, no problems, and very light peeling that left behind lovely skin. I did use a Neutrogena cream after the first minute-long application, but have not in subsequent applications—but I’ve been using a different, milder peel from the same company for about 15 months, so I think my skin is conditioned to acids. I think it’s very, very important that you do the skin test on an arm before trying it on your face, and that you start carefully, with short applications and none of the acid near your eyes or mouth. Besides the directions that come with the peel, consider using Google to track down more instructions and warnings.

This is a great product, especially if you have not had a peel in a while (or ever)….. Its not too much as far as strength and peeling.. really happy.. I’m 46 using it on up and coming lines and it is working wonders… got rid of some BIG pores… Thank you Amazon for sending it via rocket ship.. got here in no time…xoxo

Item arrived fast and certainly works. I have been using for about 1-3 min on my face and stomach (stretch marks from a pregnancy) about 1-2 times per week for about a month now. My face shows clear visible improvement in skin quality. So far nothing on the stretch marks, but they are very pronounced, so if I see any improvement at all I would expect it to take longer.Be sure to use sunscreen whil using this product. I have a wicked face burn from being out for a few hours in the spring.
D. Franzella (San Bruno) – :
Great service received item on time! I have had professional peels but just in a couple of minutes I burn with this Glycolic Acid. I think I will go back to the professionals. I may look like a snake for a few days but it is not patchy and results are much better.

I’m 46, and want my 13 year old collagen back. That hasn’t happened yet. I’ve finished my 1st 6 week round and I see small improvements. The peel only hurt, barely, the 1st time I used it, and that was after i rinsed it off. It felt like a mild sunburn. Next month, I’ll start another round. After my sister saw it didn’t burn my skin off, she bought a bottle for her tummy stretch marks, which she calls halloween skin. After 4 peels of not even leaving it on the right amount of time, 1 min. rather than 10, her stretch marks are almost gone. Her before and after is amazing. She’s 36. So it’s worth a try if you want to improve your skin quality. I’m glad I bought it.
beauty – :
After peel, the skin feels smooth and soft. But I didn’t see much improvement on the pore, neither the white head on my chin.
Tori – :
On two different occasions I have felt tingling. My skin doesn’t turn red or peel off when I use it. I have been using it for less than a month. I think that the freckles and age spots look lighter. As you know, I see my face every day, so I cannot really determine if it’s working. Maybe I think my brown spots look 25% better because I think I am seeing what I really want to see. What I mean is that our expectations affect our perception. At least I cannot say anything against it. I just leave every application for 10 minutes. Maybe other people might obtain better or worse results. Everybody is different; therefore, our body’s reaction to different agents, products or chemicals differs from one person to another. Use it at your own risk.
pen – :
I have only had the glycolic acid for 2 weeks and not long enough to give a good review. But, I bought the 35% and have left if on for up to 3 1/2 minutes. I have used it 3 times so far. I can feel a slight tingle after use for a short time. But, no bad effects so far. My skin feels very soft, but it is my understanding that it will take a while until I see a reduction in wrinkles.
marriediimuzik “ilovehousemuzik.” (Dirty Jerzey) – :
I love this gel peel. I use it once a week for no longer then 5 minutes and have been very happy with the results.
H. Lohr (Pennsylvania) – :
I have applied this light peel three times so far. So far my skin is soft and more importantly smooth. The solution removed dry dead skin that had bothered me for years. The lines on my face are finer, and the finer lines are barely visible. I will continue to use this product because it works. I’m very happy with my results!
D. Tsipras “badpuppy” (Coatsville) – :
This is a good product, but if its your first time doing a glycolic acid peel, you really need to follow the directions. For those of you who are having bad reactions to this, please read the directions carefully. It explains how to use the product safely, and how to do patch test before you put it on your face.
K. Coney (CA) – :
Great product, be sure and follow instructions, suggest putting vaseline below eyes, eyelids and lips so not to irritate these areas that are more sensitive. Using the pretreat and after treat products enhance the effectiveness -Prep skin refresher by Cellbone -Neutralizer skin pH balancer after treatment
P. Kulkus (Utah) – :
The product arrived on time. Good instructions provided. I had used a 10% solution previously and wanted something stronger. I did see noticeable improvement in skin tone and smoothness after about 10 days of treatment. I felt I could tolerate a more intense application than what the instructions indicated because I had used the 10% solution for so long. I plan to continue with this product.
tmestes2003 – :
I purchased this product because I had very bad hyperpigmentation and acne scars. I must say that it starts out much worse in the beginning, but it is so worth it in the long run. When I first started my skin was so dry it hurt. None of the moisturizers I used would comfort it until I found Cetaphil restoring moisturizer. It helped so much. After a few days of having dry, itchy, peeling skin, my skin was so soft after just the 3rd application. You are supposed to use it a series of 6 times once a week. I can’t wait until I finish the 6th one to see the results. I have already noticed that my acne scars are quickly fading. Even my co-workers can tell the difference. I feel more confident walking out of the house without makeup. I’m so glad I found this product
K. Keller (Citrus Heights) – :
The order arrived with the bottle broken and spilled. I tried to get a replacement through Amazon’s return center but the only option I was given was to return the item, which was ridiculous, so I contacted the seller and Katie immediately sent another order which I received in 3 days and in perfect condition; Sellers are awesome! Amazon packers are not.
ghostrider – :
First off, I tried this gel on one side of my nose (where there are many blackheads) to see what kind of results I would get. I left it on for 2 minutes (which was too long for my fair skin which has NEVER had a peel of any kind). The next day, I could tell it was working, there was very mild red blistering under the skin, which wasn’t noticable to others, just to myself. At this point, I was glad I didn’t use it on my entire face. After the fourth day when I woke up in the morning and jumped in the shower, I could tell that skin felt a bit dry, so I used an exfoliator, and upon inspecting the skin it looked much better! Some of the backheads were completely gone and actually shrunk. I don’t think this is a miracle over-the-night type fix, I think it will take time for the improvement I’m looking for. Soooo, I decided to try it on the rest of my face. I had a few “breakouts” and I have a bit of sun damage and spots from laying out in the sun in my teen years. Instead of trying it full strength and risking burning, I put some water, a very mild liquid facial soap and some of the glycolic on a cotton ball. After lathering it up a bit on the cotton, I swirled it over the less sensitive spots first, and then the rest of my face (put Vasaline around your eyes and other sensitive spots you don’t want to get the acid on). I left it on for about 3 minutes, then rinsed thoroughly with cool water, then applied Cetaphil lotion – VERY IMPORTANT. I loved the way it left my face feeling, it actually felt “clean”. After getting up this morning, about 75% of what breaking out I had going on is GONE. My skin feels really good, and it actually feels “tighter”. I’m hoping to rid my face of some sun spots and hopefully it will make my skin look softer and younger – So far I like what I am seeing and feeling. Maybe I’ll be able to work up to putting it on full-strength in a few weeks. I think time will tell. My recommendation – be careful about your timing (could be different for you), if it starts to sting, I would take it off – and read the instructions, don’t forget your sunscreen. Hope this helps!
D. Jang (California) – :
I just tried the product once it takes a while before I see the results. Im rating it 3 stars because there is no DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS included in my order only the product. Can Skin Laboratory at least email me detailed instructions how to use the product. My email: mdpmay@yahoo.com Thanks
desigoo – :
not sure if I haven’t used this long enough but didn’t feel it has worked, I have used it for three weeks, and I don’t like the way my face feels after use.
Max – :
it does fade my acne scars but it slightly notice, i’d been using it for a month now, and there are little different
G. Alarcon (California) – :
Its been 3 weeks since ive tried this and the only difference it has made was make my skin softer but it hasnt fade some of the red marks that I have due to acne. My skin is sensitive so I am barely at 3 minutes of tolerence. I am not giving up yet, my botlle is still somewhat full and I’ve only done three peels. Hopefully it does what it’s supposed to do by the time I’m done with the bottle.
Nard – :
So far, I’ve applied this twice including once today. I sampled this on my forearm and definitely felt a slight sting and a tingling sensation. But, when I apply it to my face I only feel a second sting and no tingling. Am I putting too little? I haven’t noticed any changes yet.
Funky Chick “M. LeeAnne” (Massachusetts) – :
I waited a full two weeks before I decided to buy this product, just to read all the reviews through and through. After deciding that all the 5 stars were convincing enough, I went ahead and ordered it. I am so glad I did.
A little background, I am 23 years old, and I have small acnes scars spanning both my cheeks extensively, with a few of them on my forehead, nose, and chin, but my main problem areas are my cheeks, and because my skin is fair, they are even more noticeable.
I received the glycolic acid yesterday, and I used it right away. I cleansed my face with my regular tea tree face wash, and then applied the gel with a cotton round. There was a slight stinging within the first minute but it went away. I kept it on for 8 minutes, then rinsed, and applied my regular moisturizer with SPF.
All I can say is WOW. Today, my skin sort of resembles a very soft peach, and when I smile, there is a slight, healthy-looking brightness to my cheeks. Upon closer inspection, my scars are still there, but they honestly look a little less noticeable, and a pimple that was on my forehead is only a tiny little bump (it was biggish yesterday morning). This product is a miracle. Truly.
Juls – :
This is not too harsh on the face. I never leave it on more than 5 minutes and does improve the skin after using it several times. I usually do it once or twice a week because I have dark spots on my face. It helps with the fine lines. Cheaper than going to the spa salons (They charge quite a bit).
A. Reiss (Houston) – :
I am used to 3-5 minute 20/20 glycolic/sali peels. I think this 35% peel burns less than my usual 20/20, but maybe it hurts less because im doing it in the comfort of my home where im not listening to my dermo’s timer ticking away. I usually do this 35% about for atleast 4 minutes with minimal discomfort, but I also do NOT have sensitive skin. The only thing that sends my gulf coastal skin into a terrifying tail spin is a drop in humidity < 50%. I leave this product on longer in tougher areas, like my forehead, chin, ear area and less on the thinner skinned areas of my cheeks. This product works and its a damn fine value. For $20-something I can get the same thing that my doc uses and charges hundreds of dollars for and with the same exact results.
S. Baker – :
This product did nothing to my skin. I’ve only used it a couple of times but I never had peeling or burning when applying.
skovac05 – :
I ordered this product a couple months ago and have been using it faithfully every week. Sometimes more than 2x’s a week but I will tell you my skin has made a HUGE improvement. Since I was 12 years old I have had outbreaks, oily skin and blackheads. I have had little to no outbreaks, my skin is less oily and my skin is so much brighter and firm. I have had people tell me that they can see a difference in my skin. I was tanning weekly prior to using this product because it was the only way that I could get my face from breaking out because it would dry up the skin but I haven’t tanned in over 2 months and my skin is looking so much better. I cannot thank this company enough! I will definitely be a customer for life! Thank you!
amanda – :
The product works well. I have seen a visible difference in my skin since I have been using the product. It is a little stingy, however, not unbearable. Follow the directions that come with the product and you should see results and I did.
T. Forsyth (Reno) – :
The product does itexactly what it says, just be careful not to leave it on to long as you will end up looking like a shedding lizard for about a week. Though the end result is worth it. My skin looks good.
Dawn “Shelly” (California) – :
I have been using this product for a month to treat hyperpigmentation from pregnancy. I think the best way to apply this product is with a fan brush, with that being said I purchased my brush from a local craft store for $3 & it worked great. This product is a gel, but not in a thick hair gel sort of way, this product has the consistency of pancake syrup. If you apply this product & find it running into your eyes or down your face you are applying way too much product, all I needed was about a nickel sized amount of this gel to cover my whole face. I use the product every 5 to 7 days, and even though they send a small bottle that is enough for many applications.
It is not advised that you exfoliate your skin prior to using this product. I wash my face with a gentle cleanser & then wait an hour before I apply the product. Prior to application I put petroleum jelly around my hair line, around & on my lips, and on the tip and corners of my nose. I read and followed the directions that came with it, I also have very pale & sensitive skin. Don’t try to “get your money’s worth” by leaving this product on longer, it is an acid you will burn yourself, it’s only $18 don’t be foolish.
Using the fan brush coat your forehead first & then your cheeks. The 1st time I used it I left it on for 2 minutes, I felt a light sting and was aware I had something on my face, on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the worst pain & 1 being little to no pain, the pain was barely a 1. I rinsed my face with tap water for about 3 minutes followed by splashing my face with water in the sink that had 2 tabelspoons of baking soda in it to neutralize any traces of the chemical on my face. I paid special attention that I got it all off around my hairline & under my jaw.
With that being said for the ladies avoid applying this product near or during “”that time of the month”". That is when I applied this product for the 2nd time, my pain was a good 3 out of 10, a marked difference from the 1st time I applied it. No adverse reaction just an increased sensitivity to pain.
You won’t see immediate results, in fact my face was never even really dry enough to bother me, my skin did look a little dull for a couple of days. What I did notice 5 days later was a thin layer of skin sloughing off after I got out of the shower & I was using a rough towel drying my face. My skin afterwards was very peachy, bright & refreshed looking. So this peel isn’t life changing, it has nice results, but you have to ask yourself, do you really want to apply an acid strong enough to eat away two layers of skin that you bought off the internet in your home? Um..NO, so start off with baby steps, you may have to apply this product more times to achieve the look of a deeper peel, but you’ll also avoid hurting yourself in the process.
S. O’Kelley (Dallas) – :
Wow this is powerful stuff, I have used it several times and cannot keep on any longer than 4 minutes. If you are very sensitive and have never used a product like this, follow the instructions and you’ll be fine,
LadyAliki – :
Very good product, easy to use with a healthy glow after a couple of days. Can cause some redness so follow directions carefully.
PurposeServed – :
@Lifesepiphany, It may have helped if you used it consistantly. I don’t think it’s suppose to prevent acne but it keeps your skin supple and refreshed. Prevent the acne scaring by daily managing of your skin( not poppin pimples & eating a healthy ). I hope you decide to try it again. I too am African American w/extremely sensitive skin, According to directions, you will experience tingling in the beginning but it’s not painful kind. I’m on my 5th application and love the way my sensitive skin responded.( no visible peeling like some other products). After going to a dermatologist for years. I’m glad I decided to try this. I had an out patient procedure before but who can keep that up. Going 1/wk. Especially those of us who are on budgets. My acne scars are deminishing and I use the cetaphil for moisturizer as instructed. I do well w/ Neutragena products as well. I hope you reconsider. It states try atleast 6 apps before giving it a break. I do it 1x/wk
C. Huang (Tennessee) – :
As a matter of fact, those peel chemicals act on face and scrotum only, cause in those places the cells are actively growing, but in other places like limbs, chest, cells grow so slow that you won’t see any effect when you apply those chemicals on your skin.
B. Brooks (NC) – :
I had no problems getting the product. But the glycolic acid 35% did nothing for my skin. I could have left it on forever and I did not feel anything. I think it was a waste of my money. Perhaps if I had tried the stronger product it would have been better but since this was my first experience with glycolic acid I chose the lesser percentage.
selectivefocus – :
So I’m not really understanding why people say they got burned by this. I feel like you have to be a complete idiot and not use the product according to instruction–you can’t give it a one star review because you didn’t follow directions and misused the product. I say this because I did two one minute sessions today, one this morning and one this evening, and not only has my skin and minor acne shown a drastic improvment in 12 hours, my face is glowing. Some of my acne is starting to clear up. I plan on continueing to do this until I get the results I would like. I am using this in conjuction with my Pro-Activ routine. I have used glycolic products in the past, I used a 10% glycolic wash on my face last summer with Pro-Activ, and my skin was FLAWLESS. But, for some reason, it was taken off the market and is only available via a dermatologist. Anyway, love the product, and it does exactly what it is supposed to. I plan to continue short sessions every day. Also, I have very pale, sensitive irish skin. I have a history of eczema and minor acne. If it didn’t burn me, it probably won’t burn you (if you’re smart about it).
Frenchi – :
Wow, what a difference in my skin and I’ve only used the product once!
I realized that going to get a facial and spending hundreds of dollars is just not going to cut it. If one follows the instructions to the T, you will get exceptional results.
This product is really fantastic.
Do not expect great results if you do NOT follow the instructions to the T.
L. Perez (Bronx) – :
I am a little bit dissapointed with the results. I got this peel to get rid of some black spots in my face and so far they are still there, almost identical than before. The day after I used the product my skins looks a little bit better, brighter, but that’s about it. I have used 4 times, let’s wait to see what happend after a couple more.
Wrench – :
I was skeptical before I bought this but the positive reviews convinced me. The reviews were right, this stuff really works great! I use it once a week, with gradually increasing application times. With each application my skin is steadily looking better and better. There is only slight redness right after application with no discomfort. A day after application redness is gone and no visible peeling, just smoother and healthier looking skin. Use a good sunscreen after application!
S Davis (Hawaii) – :
Just started using this peel as it was given to me by a friend. I have used it twice now and IMMEDIATELY after the first time I saw a difference in the tone and “glow” of my skin.
There was a slight burn and I only left it on for 4 mins the first time and 5 the second. No redness or peeling noted but a definite glow to my skin and so smooth and soft.
I used a moisturizer with sun screen right after. I use Philosophy and love it too!
I recommend this peel whole heartedly, and after this bottle is gone I will be moving up to level two.
After only two times my skin at 53 looks youthful and dewy.
Christine – :
This product is exactly what it is advertised to be. However, consumers need to use it conservatively so that it stays on the market (not pulled off due to lawsuits, etc.) I have read that people have experienced burns when using it with other products for ex. acne medication. Since this is potent, one should be careful and use it according to the instructions (not leave it on too long, space the treatments out, etc.). When used correctly, it is very effective in improving skin tone, uneven skin color (esp. melasma), and also improving coloring due to scars or acne. When not used correctly, I have experienced that it can dry skin excessively, and even ‘burn’ the skin. With melasma even, too aggressive a regimen can darken the discoloration. But, unlike hydroquinone or retinoin, it is highly effective when used over time. The improvements are gradual but clearly visible. I highly recommend it.
D. Bonner (Mount Vernon) – :
I’ve spent well over $1,000 getting SkinMedica Vitalize Peels — had 7 done and they worked REALLY WELL — however too expensive to maintain and the MINUTE I went to the Caribbean and DESPITE having SPF 100 on — the scars came back. I was told that the sun there is stronger than in the Southeast USA, so that’s what happened. REFUSING to start over and spend another $1,000, I’m trying this.
I ordered the 50% because I have a high tolerance after having so many done in the past. It definitely burns like it’s supposed to, so gonna give it a couple of weeks to see what happens. I HOPE to peel as I did with the salon peels — as that’s the whole point and FOR ME, lets me know it works — even though peeling is pretty gross overall. LOL
To be continued . . .
Diabolicalgirl “Brandy” (San Antonio) – :
I have adult on-set acne that started when I hit 30. I have oily t-zone/dry cheeks, fair-golden skin tone, blackheads on nose/chin area, cystic pimples along jaw line. I have allot of sun damage on my whole face, it seems like the spots are connecting to make a ‘mask’ of discoloration. I have always wanted to get a pro peel done so that I could `start fresh’ & take better care of my skin this time, but I was always afraid of the skin sloughing they cause. Flaking skin is no big deal; my problem is that I have to pick every scab/flake-I can’t tolerate the texture of it. Since I must pick, I was sure that I would cause a huge mess after a pro peel. I read the reviews & decided that I would take a chance on this affordable home peel. I received the product in two days, it came with easy to understand & follow instructions. 1st treatment, applied with cotton ball all over face starting at forehead working my way down to jaw line. It tingled only slightly & only in certain spots (where the pimples are). I left it on for 1 minute, not because it burned, but because I wanted to gauge my reaction to it. Rinsed & moisturized, no redness, no burning afterwards. The next day my skin looked slightly brighter, a few pimples came to the surface, but there was no massive breakout. I could tell that dead skin had been removed because the texture of my skin was much smoother. I wait 6 to 8 days between treatments to give my skin time to slough; I have done the peel 3 times so far, with each peel I increase the time by 1 minute. About 4 pimples/pustules surface-always in my problem area. It does clear up the existing pimples very quickly & makes blackhead removal easy with very gentle squeezing. My large pores of course will never shrink, but they are cleaner which makes them appear smaller. Overall, I am very pleased with the progress & will continue to use until desired result is achieved. I will be ordering the 50% Lacto peel for use on my hands/décolletage, I will try it on my sun damage spots to see if it works better that the Glyco.
Michele G “maemibird” (Orlando) – :
The first 3-min application hurt a little (it was itchy and a little stingy). I noticed my skin felt tighter afterward. I peeled on some small parts of my face. Otherwise, peeling was minimal. Application of some moisturizer hid it. I tried my second peel 6 days later and it didn’t hurt as much but was still itchy. I left it on for 10 minutes. After removing the peel and drying my face, it was tight again, just like the first peel. This time, there was no peeling at all. My skin must have gotten a little thicker. Who knows. But, it just makes my skin feel tighter and I have no blemishes (I usually don’t get many blemishes anyway, but my skin tone is even now, no red spots, no irritation spots). I would definitely recommed this as an addition to anyone’s skin care regimen. I kind of want to find something stronger, since I tolerate this so well.
M. Mazza “pajmaz” (TX) – :
I really like this stuff. I’ve been using it once a week for about a month and my skin is noticeably smoother. I also tried it on other parts of my body (once) and got good results so I will continue to do so. My only complaint is that it isn’t quite strong enough for my liking (then again, my skin is not new to peeling). It’s an excellent product for someone who has sensitive skin or someone who has never tried a peel before. (you should always start with a lower percentage and work your way up)I just ordered the 50% and I can’t wait to try it. Great company and a high quality product.
Salesian (US) – :
As a result of use of this product, I now have below my lips rather dark grey marks indicative of intense dermal hypermelanosis. According to my dermatologist, this will require at least $1500 worth of laser treatments in order to immediately fix, or else the marks will stay for years.
L. Staley (Wine Country) – :
I was using the Boots brand glycolic peel which I did see results but it took about three months. I ordered this brand to try and am so far pleased with it. I use it on my face, neck, chest, and am starting to use it on my hands. I bought it because I have sun damage on my face (two age spots under my eyes), neck, and chest. I have great skin but get the sometimes pimple. I am female and 40!
Pros: Higher % of glycolic acid than some other brands. I use it every 5 days and leave it on for 7 minutes (the first time I used it, I left it on for 6 min.) Since I had been using the Boots brand, my skin was somewhat used to a peel. After my first use, my skin peeled just a little. I have used it for about 5 times now. After two times, I noticed blemishes that had been on my cheeks for for months actually started to go away! Amazing! The sun damage blotches on my neck are actually going away…not just fading, but going away! The sun spots on my cheek bones are fading and I hope with continued use, they too will go away.
Cons/Advice: When the time gets to that 7 min., I am ready to rinse because it starts to sting just a tad. I use a neutralizer and then immediately take a shower where I rinse with only water on my face. BE VERY CAREFUL and take your time when applying. I use a brush and my hands to apply. I hear it stings your eyes and lips if you get it too close. Use a small amount so it does not drip. I haven’t had a problem (I’ve read others have) but take this product seriously and go slow and be careful with the application.
I am very pleased with this product and would totally recommend if you are looking to ease acne and/or age spots.
Mystic TX – :
I’ve been using this Glycolic peel for around 12 weeks now, and it has made a huge difference in the appearance of my skin. I followed the directions by starting off slow and working my way each week to leaving the peel on for 10 minutes. I’ve been on 10 minutes for the last 2 weeks and I won’t leave it on for any longer. I apply it with a q-tip around the eye area and then a cotton ball around the rest of my face.
It tingles some when I put it on still but not too bad since I built myself up to the strength of the product. I think the key is not to rush into it. Build your time up and be patient because the outcome is worth it!!!
I had a few sunspots on my forehead, and now the are unnoticeable. I also have acne scarring just below my cheeks. Although they haven’t vanished, they aren’t as red or as deep. I hardly ever have a single pimple even around “that time of the month” when I usually breakout. My skin feels and looks so soft after this peel. I also use a mild exfoliant 2 or 3 times a week so I can slough off any dead skin the peel caused. Just be sure to wait awhile before using something harsh like an exfoliant right after using a peel. I wait 48 hours to give my face time to recover.
I’m very pleased with this peel. In a few weeks I will try the Level 2 peel. I hope it does as good!
Tesy – :
I have sensitive skin and this is not glycolic acid. There was no stinging what so ever.(I have use glycolic acid at 5% and got very little stinging.) This product is misleading and these people’s reviews must be too. I had it on for 15 minutes several times with no reaction and no results what so ever.
L. Brewer (US) – :
My skin showed a remarkable improvement after only one application! Pores were unclogged, clearly smaller, and a definite glow to my complexion. Looking forward to continued results with this product. Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional)
Liza (US) – :
I have used this product for a month. I apply twice a week. I use a Q-tip to apply to the brown spots on my face and neck. I am leaving the product on up to 5 minutes. I have not seen any drastic improvements with removing the brown spots. I will continue to use for the next two months, maybe increasing the application time.
Layna (US) – :
I have what I would consider moderate acne that is exacerbated by hormones and stress. I tried this product for a very conservative 30 seconds my first try…felt a little stinging on my cheeks. I have been pretty close to religious about applying moisturizer both morning and night (Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizer). The first day or so, I didn’t see much a difference. In fact, I was pretty skeptical because I didn’t see anything happening as far as peeling or anything of the like. Starting yesterday (day 4) I began to see skin essentially falling out of my pores (because it exfoliated the dead skin out). My skin is already becoming clearer and I cannot wait to do the next 5-7 recommended weekly treatments in the coming weeks. I am also noticing my skin looks less dull and it already feels a tiny bit firmer. I would recommend this product, even for sensitive skin–my skin is very sensitive! My best advice is to do a test on your arm in advance and go from there. I did a test on my arm and did it for one minute and ended up with a tiny bit of redness, so I decided to go with the ultra-conservative 30 seconds the first time out for my face. I would recommend you try the same thing if you have sensitive skin.
Theresa – :
I have tried so many products with little or no results. This product works. Due to genetics, I have oily skin, large pores and a tendency to break out more than usual. Now that I am 40, I have fine lines and wrinkles with sun damage also. After the first treatment I noticed an improvement. I use this every 5 days and follow the directions exactly as instructed. Yes, it does tend to sting a tiny bit while the product is on but instantly stops with rinsing with water. I have been using this for a month and have the need for a lot less foundation if any at all. The texture of my skin is so much smoother. My pores are less noticeble and the fine lines on my face have disappeared. My husband commented about how well my skin looked, and that says a lot. I apply the product with my fingertips as opposed to a cotton roll or pad. I don’t waste as much.
nordgirl – :
I bought 35% glycolic peel to try to get rid of wrinkles in the decollete area. After long and exhausting treatment of skin candidiasis, my skin over there became too dry, and a s aresult I got very visible wrinkles. Apart from this, I have pigmentation after the rash.
I have applied the peel two times, and I alredy see results. Pigmentation is still there, but has faded a bit. However, the wrinkles started diminishing, and I can clearly see difference. In my case, it seems that the wrinkles were laying in the higher layers of the skin, so the peel helps to remove the dead cells plus makes skin softer. No miracles, but I look forward to further progress after a series of treatments.
P.S. I didn’t have any redness or unpleasant sensations on the skin either in the process of peeling or after, apart from very slight itchiness while applying. I kept it for 2 min-s the first time, and 4 min-s the second time. But I know my skin tolerates a lot, so I recommend to take a test on a little area of skin before you apply it and evaluate your skin sensitivity in general.

This product is awful! I bought it hoping to reduce old acne scarring. I normally have maybe one or two small pimples a week. I really had high hopes for this product, but after using it my skin got extremely dry and I developed a scab on my chin which I thought was the “peeling.” A couple days after I used it I had the worst breakout of my life. Probably about 50 pimples. It was awful and just in time for Christmas. I do not recommend this. My skin looks worse than ever.
C. Guernsey (Colorado) – :
Both my niece and I have been using this for about 6 weeks with noticeable results. While our acne hasn’t completely gone away yet, it is much much better and we’ve both noticed that our skin is much smoother, we have fewer breakouts and our makeup seems to go on and stay on better! I put it on my entire face and neck once a week for 10 minutes and then rinse off. I also use a small amount every morning and night mixed in with my face lotion. Definitely give it a try at this price!

I noticed some sun damage a few months ago, I was getting big brown freckles on my forehead and some drying on my cheeks and nose. I had gone to a spa for some peels but it was getting pretty expensive so I started looking on line and found Skin Laboratories. Since I have very fair and sensitive skin I tried the Lactic peel first and then went to the glycolic. I use the neutralizer after the peel and then a vitamin C. I’ve some pre-cancers removed and continue with the peels. My doctor told me the other day I “look good,” I’m 74 and very pleased with what this product is doing for my skin. It’s much softer, less lines and blemishes. I’ve never gone beyond the 35% but I may move up later. I recommend this highly for anyone who cares how they look, they didn’t have sun screen when I was a kid so I have the Southern California curse from the beach. Take care of your skin while you are young, it took a long time to catch up with me but it did.
Collegestudent – :
Unfortunately, this product only helped in creating my problem worse. I am dark skinned and had some acne scars left over from my acne days so i thought I’d give this a try. Ive never done anything even close to something this strong and I do have sensitive skin so the Glycolic acid irritated my skin, and gave me pimples, which in turn gave me more acne scars. I did some research, and once source did say that darker skin tones don’t really benefit from this peel and make the condition worse so I’m chalking it up to that. Although, initially i did feel that my skin did become softer and smoother before my acne reappeared. This product has tons of good reviews so I’m sure it works for other people. It just wasn’t for me,

this stuff has changed my cosmetic world – i have always fought with adult acne, and while i still have a few zits at any given moment, the skin between them is nearly pore-less, super-smooth, and even seems to have better coloring! I’m really impressed! I’ve also started using 70% on my hands (they look about twice as old as i am) and i see a difference already…I have very very dry skin but am sensitive to most moisturizers, very frustrating. this stuff takes care of quite a bit of that by exfoliating differently…
2 or 3 times a week, before my a.m. shower, i put the 70% on the tops of my hands and then 35% on my face, neck and chest (i tried 50% but ended up flaky & dry) – wait a few minutes, then jump in the shower (no scrub!)
you are supposed to apply moisturizer right away, but i use Korres anti-aging primer under my Korres SPF 30 “tinted moisturizer” and everything is perfect!Korres Quercetin & Oak Age-reversing Primer 1.01 ozKorres Watermelon Lightweight Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 2 Medium Honey
USE SUNBLOCK (or makeup with sunblock).
i wish i had discovered this sooner! yes, it can get a bit worse before it gets better, but wow is it worth it!

it is true that u r ur best cosmetician: nobody knows ur skin better and if u pay attention u ll know what ur skin needs. This product allows very cheep and effective approach to skin maintenance. I ve applied it on the oily part of my face-T zone, without applying to more sensitive areas, and the effect is simply fabulous – it exfoliated and shrinks pores, makes skin feel supple and silk-like. great tool, but again should be handled carefully so skin doesnt get damaged.
Bishop (US) – :
I have had bad skin since my late teens. Mostly from not knowing how to take care of my skin, and listening to the wrong people about how to take care of my skin. I used to bust bumps with needles when I was a teenager, and in my early to mid 20′s, not knowing that I was doing damage to my skin. I have a lot of acne scars, big pores, pock marks and discoloration.
I have that type of skin that if I stand under a light, my cheek area and temple area look like someone, or thing has been biting on me with sharp teeth. Pock marks galore. It had gotten to a point where I did not like what I was seeing when I looked in the mirror, and it appeared that it was getting worse. I had become very self conscience and leary of getting close to people in conversation because of my skin.
I am African American, a light complexion, but not real light. I am a fairly handsome 43 years young male, who only looks 23, but, the bad skin truly takes away from appearance and what I really look like. I remember when I had baby smooth skin when I was young and I truly want that back. A couple of years ago, I called and inquired about getting laser surgery to correct my bad skin, but I was told that laser surgery was not for African Americans.
I was a little shocked, because I thought that laser surgery should be for whoever wants it, regardless of their nationality. I also called a doctors office about laser surgery and a peel and was told that it was nothing that could be done about my scars or pock marks. So, I took it as me just having to live with bad skin for the rest of my life.
I tried all types of coco butter to lighten and smooth my scars, but it really didn’t do anything. I tried different types of vitamin E creams and moisturisers and they did make my skin a little better, but it did nothing for the scaring or the total doing away with dark spots.
One day last week, while I was looking at myself in the mirror, I said to myself, I am better than this. This is not who I am. I said, I want a new beginning with my skin. I realised that the areas of my skin that was damaged was dead. I mean, you could look at it and see that there was no life to it. It was a light grayish looking.
I was sitting on on my bed and lookig out of the window and thinking about what could be done to heal my damaged skin, and I heard the words, chemical peel. Amazon came to mind, and I looked up chemical peel. I read a lot of reviews before I decided to get the 35%. I was scared, but, what did I have to loose, nothing else was working for me.
I received the peel on 12/29. I tried a little area on my forearm, but I didn’t feel anything. Ok, I started to feel a little disappointed because I read some reviews that said when they received their peel, that it was water and it didn’t work. So, I went for it and put some of the peel on a cotton ball and put it on my face and I could feel it working as soon as it hit my skin.
It burned, but not where I couldn’t stand it. I started at my forehead and came around to my temples, cheeks, nose, chin and by my ears. I tell you, I could actually feel it getting down into my skin, and I saw a change in the bad areas right away. Seriously, it was like the peel was eating away the old skin.
I left it on for more than 4 minutes, but not past 10 minutes. I washed my face in cool water really good and pat dried it. There was little reddish irritated areas on my left cheek bone area, but that went away after I put Good’N'Natural pure vitamin E oil on my face. This was about 6pm, and after I put on the vitamin E oil, I could still feel a tingling in my skin, all over. I kid you not, even after I went to bed after 8:30pm, I could still feel the tingling throughout the night.
When I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror, some of my pours had gotten smaller, and some of the pock marks are gone, and the other pock marks are not as outstanding as they were. Matter of fact, the ones on my temple cant be seen, and my skin has a glow to it and looks good. I am not kidding. I had a lot of uneven tone and spots on my forehead area and that has evened out some and the spots have gotten lighter.
I had this nice size scar on my right cheek bone that was dark in color and it could clearly be seen. The mark has gotten smaller, and it has faded a little, but I know as I continue to use the peel, that mark is going to totally disappear, I can see it.
I had a nice size semi dark spot on my left temple, and you can barely see it now. This peel is mangnigicant. I keep looking at myself in the mirror, and it keeps getting better. All of this only after one use. Already I can stand the 35% with no problem, so when I use it tonight, I am going to leave it on for 10 minutes. I will use this and then go to the 50%, if I need to.
I plan to use the 35% every night. If not on my entire face, I will spot treat areas that I want to totally disappear, and from what I am seeing and feeling, a clean, clear beautiful new layer of skin is emerging. I ordered some Ponds Rejuveness anti-wrinkle with Lacto-nutrients & Collagen Cream.
I read a womans review on this and she said that this is good for someone who does peels, because it also has lactid acid which helps with pours and firmness of skin and wrinkles. Once I receive it, I will put the Ponds cream on as a moisturizer after I use the peel. This combination should really make my skin look fantastic. Until then, I will use the pure vitamin E oil as a moisturizer
It appears like the women really know how to take care of skin, so, I am following their lead on this one. Its working so far. Thank you ladies. Sorry men, we suck in this category. I am happy about whats happening and I am feeling better about myself more and more. It is now 4:55pm EST, and as I write this, I can still feel tingling in my left and right cheek and some on my forehead and left temple area, no lie! This stuff works!
Thank you Skin Laboratory for caring about our skin, and taking the time to create an inexpensive chemical peel that works just as good as paying hundreds of dollars for. If you have been thinking about getting this kind of face peel, do it. It will make you feel so good about what you see. If you get it, and it doesn’t do what you want, you may need a higher percentage. Don’t give up, keep trying, even if your told that nothing can be done. Faith is the key to move mountains and to change situations. Prosper, and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. Live well.

Great product. Tingled a bit on the third use since I applied more than I did with the first and second try. I did see a difference in my skin after the second week.

I got my product really quick BUT half the product had spilled. Received less than half bottle. They should do a better job in securing the product so this doesn’t continue to happen. However i am getting a refund so i guess that’s great.

I’ve used Scarzone, Mederma, and whitening soap in order to fade my acne scars and how only seen minimal improvements. I’ve been using this peel for 3 weeks (so far), once a week, and have already noticed a huge difference in my skin’s texture and my acne scars are fading. My makeup looks smoother and I don’t need to put as much on to cover up my scars. This is definitely a great product and I highly recommend it.

using per directions for a month – no difference! Nothing. Feels tingly, like something is happening, but nothing nothing nothing.

I’ve been using this product twice a week for close to a month leaving it on for 10 minutes each time. I haven’t noticed a difference yet, but there’s still a lot in the bottle. I will continue to use it until it’s gone…maybe by then I will see a difference..?

I just used this product for the first time 3 days ago. I have OK skin, I’ve been having a lot of breakout around my chin and mouth, mostly blackheads, a few whiteheads and some of the deep ‘cystic’ acne too. I have to say that the next day a lot of the whiteheads were gone, my forehead is completely smooth(i had a few little pimples scattered on my forehead) and the 2 big cystic pimples have come up to the surface and are now almost gone! I was VERY skeptical about trying this… I have tried MANY other acne washes, creams, etc.. I will definitely keep using this product. It tingled a little but it wasn’t anywhere near unbearable. I was able to keep it on for 4 minutes, although I think next time I will leave it on a little longer. Great product!!

Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel is a great product. If you are new to peels this would be a good one to start with. I have used peels but never purchased one to do at home so I started out with a lower acidity. It does tingle but I next time I will purchase the 50%. This does not make a mess and is easy to apply.
spsx11 – :
This peel really works. I have been using it for about four weeks. My skin is a lot smoother, less acne for sure, my sun spots are smaller and lighter and easily covered. I had a baby two years ago and suffered from dark spots on my upper lip as a result of hormonal changes. Gone, all gone! I use it two times per week for 8 minutes each time. I use copious amounts of water to neutralize it and use Neutragena visibly even moisturizer with spf 30 after wards and stay out of the sun now! Great product. I have just moved up to 50%. Burns a little more but is tolerable.
S. Freshwater “DesertLady” (Nevada) – :
I must say I wasn’t very sure about peeling my skin, I had several peels at a shop and for what they cost I decided to try it myself. It’s so easy and inexpensive I couldn’t believe it. I love the way it makes my skin feel and with perseverance you can even get rid of some of the small lines. Be sure to use the follow up neutralizer with it and also some Vitamin C cream. Your skin will thank you, so will your husband, or your boyfriend. It just makes your skin feel like new and look fresh. I also used the Lactose peel and they are both great. Be aware of the possible sting you get, after all you are burning off dead skin and some wrinkles so go for it.
Julia&Twins (NJ) – :
I am 35 years old, light skin, oily, with frequent acne breakouts, especially on the cheeks and around the jowl and the chin. I use liquid foundation, followed by powder makeup, followed by concealer – all to cover my scars and lesions. During my last appointment at a laser clinic, I scheduled a prof. peel for $175 to even out my skin. My main wishes were the following: 1. To clear out the skin so I don’t have to wear makeup. 2. Minimum down time – I really didn’t want any redness or peeling. While waiting for my prof. peel appointment, I purchased this bottle and received it promptly in 2 days, with detailed instructions.
Day 1. After the shower (all pores are open, skin is clean), I used the Q-tip to apply generous amount of the gel peel on my face, starting with my forehead, and ending with the chin and neck. I felt very little stinging, and was able to tolerate the suggested maximum of 10 minutes (be smart when you are applying – if it hurts, take it off, if not, keep going). I washed the gel off completely and followed with a moisturizing oil-free lotion. Looked in the mirror – no change. Went to sleep. Next morning – looked in the mirror, saw no pores. I always had large pores, clearly visible from afar. This time – no redness, no peeling, no pores. Picked up the phone and canceled my professional chemical peel. I’m thinking I’ll be doing this peel every 2 days (again, be smart – if for you it’s painful, don’t do it often, maybe every 5-7 days?)
Day 3. Applied generous amount, this time it burnt a little more. Kept it on for 10 min, rinsed, moisturized. Next morning saw no visible difference, but! I applied liquid makeup, and realized I don’t need powder for my cheeks – liquid makeup alone evened out my skin tone. The jowl line and the chin, however, were still in bad condition.
Day 5. Applied using a cotton ball – application is more even, but a lot less. Started with the chin instead of the forehead. Kept it on for 12 minutes.
I have now applied this product numerous times (every other day), and each time I keep it on for 10 minutes. It stings badly the first minute, but the rest of the time it just itches. My forehead and cheeks cleared, but the chin and the jowl line did not – however they are peeling slightly. New acne is forming, but is going away in 1 day (instead of 2-3 weeks). I am now using a moisturizer, which I never could before because of severe breakouts. Once this bottle is empty, I’m switching to a higher concentration peel. I hope this helps!
B. Harrison – :
I use it once every 10 days and it seems to help remove dead skin. My moisturizer and makeup go on (and stay on) so much better after I use this product.
Jeri (Tennessee) – :
I would not recommend leaving the product on any longer than instructions say because burns can happen. I made the mistake of leaving it on longer and my face was burned in spots and stayed rough and red for days. This stuff is really strong.
C. Corbett (US) – :
I have terribly oily skin and have been using a salicylic acid cleanser with a toner. While they were extremely effective in keeping my skin under control, they were not improving it. I felt like I needed to add something else. I opted for this based on the reviews and I’m very happy with the results.
Immediately my pores looked smaller and my skin looked like “normal people skin.” After less than two weeks there are parts of my skin where the pores aren’t visible at all. The oiliness has drastically decreased.
When I did the peel, I experienced a very slight burning but nothing that bad. I do mine twice a week for 6 minutes and follow the aftercare directions to a t.
I can see how this might be a product that doesn’t work as well for some as it does for others but it definitely seems like when it does work, the results are really amazing.”
Dawn – :
I began using peels in my early 30s through my dermatologist. For the first time in my life, I developed a cyst like acne that overtook my entire upper body. After treatment with antibiotics, I started peeling to correct the pigmentation damage and scarring. Soon, I began using over the counter products with 10-14% glycolic. My skin repaired itself wonderfully in about 3 years. Making peels only necessary a couple times a year (I only peeled once last year). I decided to try this product because I had a rather awful acne break out over the summer and have developed some marks. My first application did not sting, did not cause peeling, and did not cause any excessive drying. I kept it on for about 4 minutes. I am on to my second peel and kept it on for about 7 minutes. I expect the entire process to take about 3 months to show improvement. During this time, as instructed by my dermatologist in previous years: I drink tons of water (no soda), I wear a huge sun hat, I avoid junk food, I eat far more fruits and veggies, and I take a multi-vitamin. Skin is just not a one way street. You must watch what is put inside the body as well. In the end, that’s what makes the product work the best.

gabi in chicago – :
I am reviewing the 35% glycolic acid GEL, which I ordered for a better shipping rate. This peel has changed my skin! I no longer have break outs since using this weekly, starting four weeks ago. I am 46, so battling break outs and fine lines is very frustrating. I chose this product because it was touted as addressing both. I was apprehensive about a gel product, but I actually really like it now because it stays in place (doesn’t run down your face onto other areas), and it stays moist (unlike the very water versions that dry out very quickly and seem to lose effectiveness then).
When I apply it, I get a very noticeable stinging, and I have to use a small hand fan for the first few minutes. I leave it on for about 9-10 minutes, making sure not to exceed the maximum time recommended. I rinse with cool water for several minutes and immediately apply a fragrance-free moisturizer and spf 30 sunscreen.
I usually have one area of my face that is a bit pink for 24 hours, bu the rest of my face tolerates this peel really well. The last time I used this (yesterday), I used a swab and neutralized the sensitive area after about 5 minutes, and that helped keep the redness away. My neck and chest are much more sensitive, so I have to neutralize those at 5 minutes.
I am now able to use oils on my face regularly without any break outs – this really is a great product if you have aging, acne-prone skin. Probably good for other types too. I also feel that my other serums are more effectively penetrating my skin now.
After four weekly peels, I have noticed brighter skin and some minor pigmentation improvement, as well as a marked improvement in break outs (100% better). I hope that by 12 weeks, some of the fine lines will start to show improvement.
Just ordered the 50% glycolic acid GEL today, though I won’t use it for another month or so – want to wait until I’ve done 6-8 weeks with this level first to work my way up to that strength. I’ll use my remaining 35% on my hands and arms during this winter.

I coudn’t wait to try this product ! I kept it on my skin for 4 minutes , then I washed it away and used baking soda as a neutralizer. My skin feel so smooth , resilient and 5 years younger ( I’m 26 , but now it’s looks like a baby’s skin ).
Then i decided to use it as a peel for my breast ( I have some stretch marks ) .
After procedure which took 8 minutes I can barely see them ! And my skin feels and looks just amazing !
At begining I ordered it to reduce the little scars on my face, which remained after moles removal, and now the first result I have no doubt that I will achieve desired result !
Whatever it was, I’ll write my final opinion after the 6 – week course of application of this remedy.
So far I would recommend this product for everyone !
lillou – :
I am 29 and still struggle with break outs, as well as melasma. I had a glycolic peel (30%) done at the recommendation of my esthetician, and loved the results–my skin was smoother, glowing, plump, pores tighter and less visible, lessened breakouts, and red hyperpigmentation from acne faded (no effect on my melasma, unfortunately). This peel delivered the same results at home at a fraction of the price, which is fantastic! I’ve been using the peel weekly for a month now, and my family can’t believe how great my skin looks–no blackheads, no breakouts, even tone and fresh. I’m thrilled.
HOWEVER, I can’t emphasize enough how careful you must be to avoid sun exposure while using this peel. I have been wearing waterproof spf 45 daily, but after a 20 minute swim in the late-afternoon sunshine, two huge brown blotches appeared on my cheeks. Since then I have been avoiding the sun with the vigilance of a vampire, and the spots are fading, and only my original melasma remains. I just ordered the lactic 50, as it is supposed to be better at fading melasma.
My skin doesn’t tolerate salicylic well, so glycolic has been a lifesaver for reducing acne and evening my skin tone. For best results, I’ve continued exfoliating with a gentle scrub twice weekly (a baking soda paste is great–the same thing I use to neutralize after peeling), I make sure to drink lots of water, and tone my skin with rubbing alcohol before I peel. I’ve been taking fish oil too, which I think helps. I’d definitely recommend this peel, just use it with caution. Everyone’s skin is different and you only have one face, so be careful with it!
Susie Q – :
I have used this product only 2 times now, and my sun spots have faded tremendously and the wrinkles around my neck are gone! This is an awesome product. I am going to put a drop or two in my moisturizer at bedtime like another reviewer said she was doing. I would highly recommend this product, each day of the week and twice on Sundays–it’s really that good. And, yes, it does sting when you put it on but it is only because it is working. I haven’t “peeled” any–but I have noticed great results with my sun spots (which are all over my face) and the wrinkles on my neck are gone. I am somewhat disgusted by some of the reviews of others . . . the lady posing as a chemist giving this product a bad review as well as those individuals who have only used it for a short time. Folks, you need to give it time for your skin type. Just because you haven’t seen the results immediately as so many of us have doesn’t mean its an awful product. It may just mean for your skin condition and the amount of correction needed, it will take some time. Your damaged skin didn’t get that way overnight–it took time for the signs to start showing. Hence, common sense (if anyone out there still has any) us that it will not take an overnight remedy to fix. It’s a shame someone has to literally point that out.
I. Carmichael “shoppingshoekitty” – :
I have used this for three weeks at once per week and I really enjoy the product. Skin feels smooth and refreshed after. Will continue to use…
JoAnne – :
I think that results will depend a lot on each person’s individual skin type and tolerance level. I have used glycolic products in the past and believe that my skin is probably less sensitive than others. I’ve done this peel once a week for the last three weeks and my skin looks fabulous. I have a bit of an acne problem and this peel clears up the acne and what little newer acne I have gotten is less severe. I live in a dry climate and find that my pores are usually difficult to open and clean out. Since I’ve been using this peel, blackheads extract easily and the overall texture and tone of my skin has greatly improved. I plan on doing the full six weeks (once a week) and expect great results. It apply it with a Q-tip, works great and doesn’t waste much of the product. I have used much less than half the product. I’ve also used it for keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms (little red bumps). Doesn’t seem to work as well on the arms as on the face, though. Might need a stronger concentration for the arms.

I’ve been using the 35% Glycolic Acid Gel Peel for about 2 weeks. I started by following the directions, applying it for no longer than 4 minutes, about twice a week. I experienced a slight tingle, but no burning. My skin would feel smooth and firm (but not dry) the next morning. Last week I decided to experiment by adding a couple drops of the gel to to my moisturizer at night. I’ve used the glycolic creams you leave on in the past, but they were only 10%. Anyway, since using this glycolic/moisturizer combo, I do feel that I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin tone and texture. My pores seem to be purging a bit, but shrinking as they do. My skin seems brighter and more clear. My makeup is going on more smoothly and I’m wearing a bit less foundation. I’m pleased with all of these things! I look forward to seeing how my skin continues to improve as I continue with this routine!
A brief background on my skin: I’m normal/combination but do experience monthly breakouts. I’ve been struggling with clogged pores on my nose for the past year at least. They’re not so bad that others would probably notice, but they really bother me! I’ve been trying everything to unclog and shrink them. This product may finally do the trick!

I tried this product out of pure curiosity, and fell in love with it after it made my constant acne go away, and my hyper-pigmentation fade to a point where it was hardly noticeable or concealer worthy. I can wear any make-up I want, from thick foundations (although I don’t need them), cream blushes, etc. and I haven’t gotten a break out yet. I apply it every day for roughly 3-7 minutes before I shower and go to bed. I also always moisturize afterwards. It leaves my skin luminous, smooth, and picture ready.

My friend has this and I tried using it. As someone who goes to get 35% peels at my local derm, let me tell you this stuff is not nearly as strong as what I get done there. I do NOT have sensitive skin and I’m the only one in my own circle of friends who can handle a 35% strength peel for a whole 4 MINUTES at the derm before bleeding occurs (in spots where there are acne). Like I said I don’t have sensitive skin so a little bleeding is fine with me. I put this stuff on my face and 10 minutes later my skin was not irritated at all. Maybe they meant the entire BOTTLE was 35%. And some reviewers are stating that they aren’t even peeling. All in all, I like the stuff, but it doesn’t replace my regular out of home treatments.
Laura S (PHOENIX, AZ) – :
Nice that it included so much detail on how to properly use the products. Will purchase more
Khadiyah J. – :
I must say that this product works incredibly fast. I received it in a timely fashion and this bottle came intact (although I ordered the rollerball and it was practically empty when I got it, most of the product had leaked out). Everyone’s skin is different and I used the peel one day and felt absolutely nothing. I washed it off then went about the rest of my day. I decided to use it on the following day (I don’t recommend that anyone else do this. I know my skin very well and how it reacts to different treatments) and it started to tingle Yay! I washed off after two minutes and noticed that my skin was so smooth, and the minor discoloration on my face were lighter.
I am in my mid twenties with basically clear dark brown skin. I have a few minor flaws (2 pimples that healed and left little black dots and a small discoloration under my eye). This product worked very well for me with no real irritation.
In addition my sister who is just a little older than me with oily skin (I have normal/dry skin), had a small cluster of stress pimples on her cheek. she used it once and they have already started to clear up.
And a little side note. After using the peel you must moisturize. I chose to forgo typical face cream and instead used hydro-cortisone cream. The slight stinging went away immediately and my face felt great
Hope this helps!
ps- I would have given 5 stars but I want to see what happens after the six weeks! “

I am very pleased with the results I got from using the glycolic peel. It was not harsh on my skin and I was able to use it twice a week for two weeks, after that I took it down to once a week and then
twice a month.
It also worked really well for my blackheads. My face feels and looks smooth. “
Megan E (Bothell, WA) – :
This is really great. I’m extremely fair skinned (natural redhead) and it doesn’t irritate or burn overly much. I leave it on for 4-6 minutes and moisturize really well with Cetaphil moisturizer afterward, and I, frankly, look amazing.
Open to great experiences (Colorado) – :
I recently added this to a new skin care routine based on products I purchased. My skin looks AMAZING, much better than when I used to get professional treatments — and, after the initial investments, far less expensive. Here’s what I do:
I give my face a good scrubbing, using the Petrika sonic dermabrasion facial brush about four times a week. In between, I use Skin Laboratory’s 35% Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel once or twice a week. Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) Caution: Start gently, using for only a few minutes, and then working your way to longer times so you don’t burn your skin.
I also use the Petrika LightSonic Light Therapy System as often as I can, usually while reading, and always apply an SPF 30 skin cream for day, and a wrinkle reducing moisturizer such as ROC at night.
When I lost my job, I was upset I could no longer afford the facials and other skin treatments I so enjoyed. As it turns out, my results are much better — my wrinkles are greatly reduced, and I couldn’t be happier. “

I was hoping this product would help with my acne and the fine lines I have. I’m 48 yrs old and have to deal with both problems (lucky me). I think I’ll try a higher strength that peels next time. Def start with a low strength to give your skin a chance to get used to the chemical. It did sting. this strength might work for someone with younger skin.
Kristine (Tucson, Az) – :
First, I just want to throw some information out there from my own experience as well as from some research I did.
First of all, some people complained that this caused them to get a scab. This happened to me after putting it on some acne that had been dried out from other acne medicines. I initially thought it was the combination of glycolic acid with the other acne medications, but reading up on exactly how this product works, I found out that it basically causes dead skin cells to just fall off. That is exactly what happened to me, because all of that dry, dead skin was sitting on top of my acne and the glycolic acid literally just sloughed it all off in one gentle motion. This left me with a sight even less appealing than the acne. It was actually a little bizarre because the acne bump was just swept away, which would have been good if it hadn’t taken my skin with it. So beware of where you put this stuff.
I don’t know if it works or not, but I know that I’ve broken out more since I started using it. I’m not sure if my skin is cleansing itself, but the acne really sucks, and it makes me want to stop using it. Someone else said that they didn’t believe that the product pulls water from the cells, but it does do exactly that. This, in turn, can leave parts of your face slightly puffy because the water is closer to the surface. This also happened to me. It went away after about ten minutes, though.
I wouldn’t recommend this product because it doesn’t seem to be worth the risk of possible new scarring, and because so far I haven’t experienced anything positive about it. “
S. Pruet – :
I went to the dermatologist and had professional strength chemical peel that I paid good money for, without any result. So, I turned to the web and read reviews for chemical peels to do at home.
I didn’t want one too strong for my first time at home, I wanted to work my way up. That being said, this product did exactly what I wanted. It introduced me to peels.
What I, and my teenagers LOVE,LOVE,LOVE about this product is: it eliminates breakouts overnight, then 2 days later they are absolutely gone! We are happy campers in this regard.
What I don’t like: it does nothing for blackheads…. and none of us ever peel. But, I will step up to the next level for myself, not my teens – they are happy with this, to reach the peel effect.
As a breakout regimen, I put it on their faces 2-3 times a week for 3-4 min. This keeps their skin clear all the time. If we forget a week, breakouts are back. We don’t do any pimple popping (gross I know) at all, no scarring!
Over all this is a wonderful acne, breakout, keep your face clear kind of product, that even sensitive skin can easily tolerate. As for anti-aging, I will step up to their next product. “
laid back, but discerning consumer (New York) – :
Wasn’t sure about this when i ordered it, since I have very sensitive skin, but it worked very well, and helped to clear up some adult onset acne that was starting to give me problems. At the first sign of a breakout, I give myself a peel, and it helps immediately. Can’t beat it for the price.
human (earth) – :
I bought this product to improve the elasticity of my skin and decrease fine lines and wrinkles. I used it every week for 4 weeks then every other week for 3 more treatments. I see absolutely no difference in my skin. If anyone else has seen a difference they haven’t mentioned it.
Amazon user (Ohio) – :
After reading some of the reviews I was prepared to wait about 6 weeks before seeing any results. I have used the product for 5 weeks now (every 5 days) and still see no difference. I really wanted this product to work and am still hopeful that I will see results in the next couple of weeks. I plan on using it until the bottle is gone at least. It didn’t dry out my skin like some reviewers reported so I didn’t use any follow-up lotion as any kind of cream or lotion makes my face break out in mild acne. The gel was not painful at all but it did create a slight stinging/itchy sensation which got a little worse when I was rinsing it off with water. One thing I will warn about is if you have an open acne wound, apply the gel around the wound. Not on the open wound. This stuff gets down in there and BURNS! I had an open acne wound on my chin when I used the gel the second time and the next day I had what looked like a rug burn scab where the wound was and it still hasn’t completely healed after about 3 weeks. If this stuff works before my bottle is empty I will amend my review.
Melanie Kay J (Norman, OK) – :
This product is awesome! The effects are immediately noticeable, albeit subtley but in just a week I could tell my skin was much tighter and smoother! I will continue to use this product but next time I am going to move up to the 50%. Thanks for making a great product!
Alan S (Apple Valley, CA) – :
Started to see results after 4-5 weeks improved my scaring, acne and overall complextion. Will buy again
Jill Renee H (Plainfield, IL) – :
Tried it and let’s see what happens! I had a chemical peel at the dermotologist one week ago, tried this, next day did the exposed treatment system and used tea tree oil on the acne spots. I have never had clear skin until now at 32! Let’s see if it all works!
P. Nguyen – :
I had acne scars ever since I can remember, well for 15 years. I never liked my skin because of this. My friends say it’s hardly noticeable, but I notice them! I had high hopes for this after I read the reviews. I wanted it to work, but was realistic if it didn’t because my acne scars are old. If it didn’t work with my acne scars, at least I hoped I would stop breaking out and it would unclog my pores. After a month of use, I don’t know if it really made a difference. I do see that my left cheek is clearing up a bit, but the pores are still clogged. Hopefully after another month, I will see a difference. I’m hesitant to spend more money on the higher dosage. I am using this with Pretika SonicDermabrasion Facial Brush, even with both, I hardly see a difference.
Nicola A. – :
This solution is Weaker than I expected, based on the feedback from prior reviews.
Initially when you apply the product you feel like you are being sticked with pins/needles, but this wears off in about a minute. After, application I can sleep with it on my face. I personally don’t find it to be effective unless I apply more than once per week, and longer than 10 minutes.
My mom applies it to her face nightly, and cleanses her face in the morning. I saw the difference in her skin in two days. I use much more chemicals on my face than her, so I apply the glycolic 2 – 3 per week, but seldom sleep with it on. (I apply it much or generously than my mom).
I think this work best for a mild peel or a maintenance program. I need to remove some deep spots, before I can commence a maintenance program. Hence, I have since ordered MakeUp Artist Choice 70% Glycolic acid for my face, and 21% TCA solution for my elbows with the hope that these items will address my current concerns.
I do however recommend that you keep in mind your skin type and sensitivity to citric acid when making your purchase, as well as applying these products to your skin. What works for me (& my mom), may NOT work for you.
Khadiyah J.
M. Jo King – :
I love this product! It’s not harsh, but very gentle on your skin. I’ve had adult acne and it has cleared up since using the glycolic acid 35% gel. I’m very excited about that! Cuz I hate pimples! I’ve also noticed a reduction in the wrinkles around my eyes. I’m very pleased with the overall appearance of my skin. It’s softer and smoother.
ahooks – :
This does work great, but give it time. I found that using Cetaphil lotion actually calmed the burn afterwards. The shipping was so fast, ordered on a Monday afternoon and had it by Wednesday!
Dawn – :
I bought this after reading so many other reviews. So far I have used it four times.
The first three times I used it I could not tolerate the tingling, prickly (almost like glass in your face) sensations. I have very sensitive skin so prehapes that has something to do with why my tolerance was not very high. So only keeping it on for the first two minutes the first three times it didn’t seem to do a lot. It did though leave a smoother feel to my skin and after the third time my pores looked a little smaller. I never itched afterwards but my checks and nose (Where my pores are the largest) almost seemed to toughen. After about a week they were soft again. It was not noticeable by the human eye it just felt that way to me, by touch.
The fourth time I used it, the prickly sensation seemed much more tolerable therefore I left it on for 5 minutes. I can see a much better result and my skin itches a good bit. They say not to scratch or rub so I’m doing my best not to. But the skin around my nose where the pores seem to be very large, for my entire life but especially after giving birth, seemed to be almost completely gone now. The pores around my checks are considerably smaller and much finer looking so they are not noticeable anymore and the toughness that I had before is not there this time. I also changed facial creams so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it but in my opinon it does. The better results I really think are due to leaving it on longer.
In addition, I can SEE more smoothness on the rest of the skin on my face, including two very tiny spots, that were from sun damage, have been aletered. Only one shimmers a slight visual the other is compeltely gone. As for my very fine lines they are still there. But with the rest so far I’m fairly pleased.
I had one facial before that they used a chemical peel in a salon and the peel didn’t tingle so much and it was left on for a good 15 minutes. The bad part about my peel is the girl was apparently ruff and due to that I had scabes on my face afterwards. I’m told that should never of happened.
Therefore, I’m very happy I found this product and will certainly continue to use it and maybe it will hit the fine lines soon. I will keep my bottle after it is empty just in case I want to repurchase it but I most likely will look to try a different product.
Nikki H (Atwood, TN) – :
After 3 uses a lg. age spot that descended from my hair line onto my forehead has disappeared. But, I would have liked for the lines to be less noticeable after some of the feedback that I read. Also, the smell is tolerable, but unpleasant. All in all, I will continue to use and report back any changes in outcome.
C. T. Kai “kelvin” – :
Used the peel four times and skin conditions have remarkedly improved. However the last peel has only slight improvement as skin has adapted to the acid. Will have to go for a 50-70% soln. Would advise anyone to purchase a 50-70% soln and dilute it to 35% as a start. It saves money too.
Felicia L (Idaho Falls, ID) – :
I love this product. It does wonders for my skin. It helps with breakouts and oil control as well as anti-aging. And the seller is great!
Nicole D (San Diego, CA) – :
As always, I love the product and it really helps refine my pores, diminish wrinkles, and help with my acne scars. This is my third bottle, and I will continue using this.
Marianne – :
At 37, I’m blessed with pretty good skin but this product has really taken it to another level. I glow!!!
I’ve tried dozens of creams, facials and expensive microdermabrasion treatments (nice, but the results barely lasted through the weekend!)- this product just makes my skin better and better!
After two months of 2x weekly 4-5 min peels the pores on my cheeks are much smaller and my skin is smooth and catches the light the way it did when i was 20. I still can’t believe how easy and inexpensive it is. I use a 1$ fan and a light cream afterward; the post-peel blotchyness is gone by morning. I can’t say it’s done anything for my monthly acne but the rest of my skin is so lovely I care much less!
M. E. Copper “meca” – :
I am a retired skin care professional. Glycolic Acid peel is really best at stimulating cell renewal. It’s excellent for older skin renewal that has become sluggish, thus tired wrinkled skin accumulates on the top. I used the product differently than directed. You want to get the product to penetrate the skin. I put it in my hand and massaged into my thoroughly cleansed face, being careful to avoid the eyes. Any left, I massaged into my hands to clean up old skin there. It takes weeks to finally see good results, but my skin does look smoother and younger. I also was able to remove several embedded blackheads with ease.
Serena A. – :
I tried this product after a lot of research, i found it did just what it said it would my face is Sooo smooth and i could not be happier.
Elizabeth P. “Elizabeth” – :
Ok after a friend had recommended this product and from reading all the positive reviews we decided to try it…. My friend and I tried it one evening and mind you we have had this done professionally so we know the process. After washing our faces thoroughly, we applied three layers of the glycolic peel and waited 6 minutes later. We did experience tingling and some redness but nothing uncomfortable. We washed our face thoroughly ensuring all the glycolic was removed and patted our faces dry. We looked in the mirror and said ok, feels like nothing lets see tomorrow. The next day it felt like we did nothing to our faces, day two, three, four, five…. NOTHING! We thought we would of had some type of evidence that we even did a mini peel… But nothing.
We are going to try this one more time, but we are reluctant too since the first one did nothing. I will let you know what happens in the next few days.
J. Austen “Orchid67″ – :
I purchased this item to use it on my clients. I love the product since it gives you a moderate peeling. Just make sure to get the neutralizer to put on after you apply the acid. Do not leave the acid for more than the recommended time or your skin will peel severely & burn. If you do it once or twice weekly your skin will be very smooth & the pores become finer. I highly recommend this product, just make sure to get the neutralizer & follow the directions carefully. The results will be worth the little sting.
Samantha S (Wister, OK) – :
skin feels softer, less acne and pores seem smaller. No change in fine lines after 4 treatme
Nara G (Nashville, TN) – :
Great product! Today will be the 4th time I am using it. My skin already improved a lot, fine wrinkles are gone and poreas are much smaller. I am preparing for an upgrade to GA 50 or 60%. But be sure to follow all instructions step by step. I am very glad I found this product!
J. Williams – :
This truly is an amazing product! I, too, have been plagued with problematic skin since I was 13 ( I am now 30 so it’s been a battle for over half of my life). I have undergone two treatments of Accutane in addition to the more mild topical treatments of Proactive, benzol peroxide, and Retin-A. I have been using the Glycolic Acid Peel for about two months now (well, for 6 weeks and now I am taking one month off as recommended). Even during this ‘down time’ my skin still looks great! The deeper scars from the cystic acne are still there, however, most of everything else from my enlarged pores to my furled brow creases are much less pronounced.
This is by no means a miracle cure, but for the price and convenience of a DIY home treatment you’ll really be amazed! The results are very similar to being on Retin-A (ie. faster cell renewal, increased collagen production, minimization of enlarged pores + wrinkles, and a more evened-out skin tone) but come with a fraction of the cost.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone else who has problematic skin. It really does an amazing job of giving your complexion a brighter, more supple appearance. You will also be amazed at how soft your skin feels to the touch. Just be sure to use a good moisturizer as well as an SPF to help protect your new radiant skin!
Joseph C (Yucaipa, CA) – :
It’s a great product. I’ve suffered from Acne my whole life and this has really helped control and avoid further break outs.

I am peach complected, clear skin, but have acne scars on my face. I made a mistake to get laser treatment for the scars, which resulted in discoloration of the skin, my face became very blochy. I read all the reviews I could find, on 35% Glycolic Acid peels before using this product. Reached the Skinlab customer support, who answered all my questions, until I was ready to take a chance. What a difference in 6 weeks, I see the discoloration fading away!!! I cannot wait to see it gone, I do not wish to stop this treatment after 6 weeks, but I rather follow the instructions and stop the treatment for one month.
This is the best and the safest product, so far, please strictly follow the instructions

I’m looking for a TCA peel and notice this and shake my head- This company states that
“Glycolic acid…It’s small molecule allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25% thickening over 12 weeks.”
And-
“Lactic: “The Lactic acid molecule works to pull moisture into the cells”
And
Glycolac: “It is generally well tolerated because the lactic and glycolic work on different levels or the skin.”
Wow! REALLY? Glycolic acid is a small molecule which slips beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below? The only cosmetic peels that penetrate any deeper than sloughing off the first superficial layer of skin, are the phenols and TCAs. This is why phenols are only done by a doctor and under anesthesia. The strong TCAs are done by a doc or licensed esthetician. You can buy the lower strength TCA peels online albeit with a caveat of warnings and disclaimers (so if you use a higher strength than you should or leave it on longer than you should, apply it incorrectly, et al, and give yourself a nice chemical burn, you can’t sue the merchant.) Still, these peels do not reach the dermis, where collagen is located. So unless your glycolic acid peel is a modern day miracle, it cannot “slip” beneath the epidermis. Chemical peels can help to stimulate the body’s production of collagen due to the necrosis (yes, death) of the top layers of skin cells IN the epidermis. The skin reacts to the cell death by stimulating the collagen production just as exposure to sunlight stimulates the production of melanin thus giving people a tan. It has nada to do with gently slipping ‘neath the skin and petting the “collagen fibers”. Your glycolic acid peel would be a miracle of chemistry if it did what you claim. It would also get people really ill, but that’s beside the point I guess. My Lord, even the injectable collagen fillers are made up of molecules that are too big to be absorbed, hence the injectable part. If any topical cosmetic product contained a molecule small enough to actually penetrate the dermis, it would be a prescription now, wouldn’t ya think?
Moving on to your Lactic Acid claim…Exactly how does a lactic acid molecule “pull moisture” into cells? Lactic acid is a hydroxy acid derived from milk. It is not a humectant which attracts and retains moisture from the environment. Is that what you meant by pulling moisture in? A lactic acid peel (or any peel) can help to increase the skin’s ability to retain moisture by dissolving the glue-like substance made of sebum, dirt, old makeup, etc…that holds the dead skin cells together. This results in the dead skin cells sloughing off. The skin can now take in moisture better instead of the moisture sitting on top.
And what exactly is “Glycolac” and how does this product (or is it a new molecule?) work on “different layers of skin”? Which layers? I take it the Glyco part of it can slip beneath the epidermis as well?
Sorry but this kind of advertising really gets my goat. I am trying to find a decent TCA peel and it’s frustrating to have to wade through all the c-r-a-p and the false claims made by some vendors. Maybe you have a decent product but I wouldn’t bother to actually purchase it after reading the pitch.
Esther – :
I started using this product in mid october under the impression that I would have visible results after 1 application. I was really dissapointed because, unlike others who have posted their reviews, I didn’t see any difference in the texture or appearance of my skin.
However, I decided to give it time. The instructions even state that results are typically seen within 4-6 applications. So, I started on a new regimen.
I must say that I didn’t notice any uncomfortable tingling. I applied it on clean skin and gently rubbed it in and left it on for 10 minutes. I use it 2x/wk for 5 weeks and the difference is definite. My skin is now much smoother, has more glow to it, my pores are much smaller, I haven’t had a break out in weeks, and my skin isn’t as oily either.
I highly reccomend this product. I don’t feel that it is a strong peel but for starters, it may be best to start with a lactic peel first and then try glycolic.
If you are expecting immediate results, you may want to see a Dermatologist for a stronger peel. But if you’re looking for something that will gradually improve the appearance of your skin, give this a try. Stick to it, take pictures of your progress and You won’t be dissapointed.

It really works!! I waited six months to write this review to see how my skin turned out and I am amazed at the results. I used the peel weekly for 8 weeks, then once a month along with the AHA 10% skin lotion to my face and neck. I’ve also added some of the Glycolic Acid 35% to the AHA lotion and have started to apply it to my arms and shoulders too. My co-worker swore by these products and she has great looking skin in her fifties, so I thought I’d try it now that I’m the big four O.
I have struggled with cystic acne since my twenties and have tried antibiotics, ProActive and Retin A for years with the acne returning and my skin dry and peeling. Now my skin is so much softer with a healthy glow and the acne has cleared up, except for the occasional pimple around that time, if you know what I mean! I also have sun damage to my face with brown spots and freckles and they have faded alot, but are still there. I’m going to try the TCA peel on my cheeks and brown spots for the sun damage and see how that works.
As far as application, I left the peel on for eight to ten minutes with mild burning, rinsed with cool water and applied the AHA lotion afterwards. There is some mild burning with the Glycolic Acid and mild tingling with the AHA lotion, but no other bad effects as mentioned by other reviews I read. But my skin has been used to the Retin A for YEARS, so it may be tougher than others. I am trying the lower strengths, because of my sensitivity to scarring with Asian skin.
AND Don’t Forget the Sunscreen!! That’s something I use alot of now along with a hat while I’m in the sun.

I have oily/acne pron skin and I have had Glycolic peels by professionals and this really compares to theirs. The glycolic gets rid of my acne in just a few days. The only bad part is it stings/burns and leaves your face red for a little bit. But it’s great and I would recommend it to people, especially if you have acne.
Anon – :
I went to a skin care consultation and the glycolic peel was highly recommended. I am 33 wanted to just freshen up my skin..minimize lines, etc. At $200 + per treatment, I went online and found this wonderful product. I love this glycolic peel. I think the best technique (which I would have never thought of) is what some reviewers have mentioned…using q-tips. The most sensitive are of my face must be my upper cheek area…as this is the only part of my face that feels it has a slight sunburn. But..I’m the type of person that is comforted by this because I know it’s doing something.
Thanks for an awesome product!!!!

Maybe I don’t put enough on. I only used it for the first 6 weeks, and I still have lots in the bottle. I used a cotton ball, I was scared to put too much on. I am now in the break period. I have to start it up again. I only noticed that my skin was a tad smoother. It does feel like the same stuff I use to pay for, so I think it is a good product.

I’ve had professional light-peels before so I appreciate being able to do it myself for so much less. I started with the minimum time and then did it for longer the next time and experienced great results.

I’ve been using this product for several weeks now. The first couple of uses it stung pretty bad and I had to take it off after a minute or less. After the 4th use I can leave on it as long as I want, but generally take it off after 10 minutes. My skin seems smoother after each use. I use it for scars, but it also seems to clear up my acne. While my scars are not gone, they do seem less noticeable. I like the product a lot and recommend it for people who have acne, large pores, and scars.
T. Tidwell – :
I received this about three weeks ago and I have used it 5 times. The first time, I applied it with a cotton pad and left it on for about a minute. It definitely stings and tingles but it’s not painful and is worst when you first apply. I have a fairly high pain tolerance so it might be worse for those with really sensitive skin. I didn’t notice any redness after or during the peel. After the minute was up, I rinsed very gently with a cloth [not necessary] and a lot of water. Make sure to moisturize immediately after rinsing your face, I used Sunflower Oil but Safflower Oil is great as well.
I did notice that my skin felt a tiny bit softer and it seemed to improve a little bit over the next couple of days. I never experienced any flaking or peeling of my skin. I used it again a few days after that and then twice a week since. After the first time, I left it on for the full 4 minutes. My skin is noticeably clearer and has more of a new skin glow, like you get after a sunburn but without the redness. I’m sure the results all vary from person to person depending on your skin type, sensitivity, etc. but it has been great for me. I also exfoliate daily with this Facial Brush so that could be why I didn’t notice any peeling or dry skin.
If you are thinking of trying it, read the reviews first to get an idea of what results to anticipate and if the reviewers who like it have your skin type. Read all the instructions before you apply the peel and immediately wash it off if you experience burning or pain. To be safe, do not leave it on longer than the recommended time or use it more than once a week until you know your skin can handle it.
I definitely recommend it over a salon peel, especially because it’s low dose. Everyone recommends a series of peels to see results and you don’t want to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for results you could get at home.

MY FACE HAS SEEN A GREAT IMPROVEMENT IN TEXTURE AND BRIGHTNESS.mY FACE HAS A YOUTHFUL GLOW AND I AM 62 !!!
Menthol Rum – :
I bought this to use on a surgery scar on my body with hopes of lessening the scar’s appearance. I have a few scars on my face that I didn’t even think of using it on, as they are small and have faded a bit. I’m just used to them.
I have applied this 6 times in two months. I left it on longer each time and I did follow up with lotion, which is necessary, no question. It burned a bit when I left it on longer, which was a contrast to the lack of feeling the first few times I used it for less than 1 minute. After all this time, it has made an enormous difference in my skin. The scars are much fainter, my skin is less oily and it is more even colored. I wasn’t in bad shape before, but the change is enough that my male friends are noticing and asking what I did. It’s not night and day, it is a subtle change and it has my skin looking great.
One time I had a cut from shaving and I used this. The cut burned and as the skin was broken, I should have waited for the cut to heal, but I’m not that bright. Anyway, I had some spots where I had the cut, but they disappeared in few days. If anyone else has this happen, don’t freak out.
Now I like to look my best and I can’t believe how well this works. My skin is clear, smooth, less oily and just looks good. I look young anyway, but this really impressed me. I am not a user of this type of product and never knew something like this even existed. We are all different and have different skin, but I have a medium complexion and my skin tends to be on the sensitive side. I haven’t had more than 1 pimple since using this. I don’t get a lot, but more than I had been getting.
Other reviewers have given some good tips and I will be another voice in the chorus that says what a great product and results this has given me.

If you use as recomended u see noticeable results after 1 month. ive seen some reviews where ppl say they dont see a difference, and that their skin is just smooth. its probably because we cant see just how damaged our skin is, so the results arent instant. good product. the hq+ peel ive noticed is the best for tiny acne scars
Beauty is as Beauty Does – :
…I thought it was going to hurt and braced myself for some intense pain. You know what I felt? Nothing at first, then after being on my face for 8 minutes I started to get a very very very mild sting. I have photosensitive skin. It’s not only hypersensitive to the sun, it’s hypersensitive to many topical lotions(even a Clinique cream with sunscreen). I just hit the big 3-0 and have decided to fight aging problems before they become problems. I was more than thrilled after using this.
My skin was just a little red for a few hours. My pores seem smaller My skin is definitely smoother, it feels better than it would feel when I put top quality lotion on it–and there is no lotion on it! Also, don’t exfoliate after you use this. The day after I did it, I used my apricot scrub in the morning, as I have religiously since I was 13. Despite the fact my face wasnt red or seemingly sensitive, I felt the sensitivity when I did the scrub. Stay away from exfoliations for a week after the treatment to let the cells rejuvenate.
I will be using this every week til the bottle runs out as a sort of practice for TCA and applying it properly. I will also extend the length of time I leave on my face everytime I use it. Hopefully, after this, I’ll be ready for TCA 20% Chemical Peel solution, 30mL (Professional).
EDIT:
Did my second application 2 nights ago. The results this time were considerably better! My skin tone is evening out. The results seem to be accumulative and pronounced. Much more so than any other product I’ve used–and I’ve exfoliating daily since I was 13. Good product. Good results. But a bit too gentle for me as a starting point. I cant wait to see what the results from my next application will look like. That said, since I so thought Glycol 35 was too light weight, I ordered a Glycol 60(ordered the neutralizer too!)
Funnily, by using this peel, I think I found a use for Queen Helene Olive Oil Facial Masque 6 oz.. The other times I used Queen Helene Olive Oil Facial Masque 6 oz., it didnt seem to do anything. Just some moisturizing goop that really didnt seem to moisturize. I used the Olive Oil Masque the day after I did the peel, and it actually moisturized my skin in an even way. Keep in mind though that I have very dry skin with the exception of the T-Zone..so it might still give u zits if you have normal skin

Despite using a timer and neutralizer this peel has left my face with scabs on my cheeks, redness all over, new emerging postules and a lot of pain. This is not a no down time peel!!! I had to go to work like this which is far more embarrassing than acne. I have tossed this peel and suggest those who purchase it use it with extreme caution.
Amaran T (Point Roberts, WA) – :
Absolutely love the product, it has made a huge difference in my skin!!
N. Telfort – :
This is not to offend anyone; Has anyone brown complected used this product on their legs? If so, how were the results? If it was not the result that you hoped for, which peel would you recommend?
A. Trevino – :
The first time I used this product I was amazed….less oily, firm, and really smooth. At first I used the product for five minutes. Now, I’m up to fifteen minutes and still notice a great difference. You will experience a slight tingling, burning sensation but it’s a proven sign that it’s working deep within the skin layers. Use Neutrogena’s moisturizer afterwards and wake up to beautiful skin! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. It’s worth the price and better than an expensive cream! Also, another great tip for men who shave everyday…when I used the product at night before going to sleep and woke up the next day to shave, I read in a magazine that shaving the whole face (carefully avoiding the hairline and eyebrows) will stimulate collagen growth. Very True!!! I’ve used this technique every other day for the past year and have noticed a more smoother and youthful appearance.

K. Haney – :
I have now used this product 4-5 times. I really look forward to using it each week to see the cumulative difference it will make. My pores are smaller and I have more of a healthy glow. While driving to dinner one evening after the first use (only left on 1 minute as I was cautious of the reaction) I caught a glimpse of myself in the rearview mirror and thought I looked ‘younger’. When my friend saw me, he commented on how nice I looked (he never does that), so I really attribute that to the results of this product. I will continue to use it and hope the age-spots and deep wrinkles continue to fade. Its not a miracle product, but I do feel that with each use I see good things happening to my skin.
F. Little – :
I reviewed this product earlier, but have been using it longer now and I wanted to update my review. I have been using the product for 6 weeks now (once a week) and it is fantastic! I have noticed a big difference in my skin. I was breaking out and panicking because I have a wedding coming up. I used this for 6 weeks and my skin is amazingly clear. I haven’t had new breakouts and overall my skin just looks healthier. It’s uncomfortable to have on my face even for the 3 minutes, but it’s totally worth it!
warpanda – :
The 1st time i applied this i thought my face would fall off, but I was just being dramatic due to inexperience. in reality it just tingles and stings, but after a couple of uses you really dont feel much of anything. I apply this with a cotton ball on my face, chest and hands, and have progressed from 1 min to 10mins. your skin really builds a tolerance to this which is why you should take 6 weeks off after 4 weeks of application. some people do it once a week, others can handle it twice a week. it takes some experimenting. its a great exfolient and will tighten your skin, make it smoother and more even. it works much faster than tretinoin or topical retinoid/aha creams. it just makes everything visibly better. i recommend washing it off with cetaphil or plain cold water and then slathering on a gentle moisturizer. also, its a bad idea to use this during the summer, or anytime you plan to get a lot of sun. ALWAYS wear sunscreen no matter what after using this.
L. Scott – :
I would have opted to purchase the lower precentage of the product if I had known how intensed the 35% was. I actually suffered a bad burn as a result. It was way too strong for my needs. This product should not be used at home by anyone who is not a professional dermatologist, or a skincare professional.

I’m in my mid-20′s and have been dealing with consistent breakouts for about the past year. I used Proactiv as a teenager and decided to stop using it about 2 years ago as I thought I had grown out of the acne stage of life. Over the past year I have been struggling to find a product(s) that is successful in treating my adult acne. I spent some time searching various products, keeping an eye out for any products with a large amount of positive user reviews. When I came across this product it obviously had tons of great reviews and was extremely well priced. I was weary of using a “peel”, as I had never used a peel before. I’ve been using the product for the past 2 weeks and am extremely happy to report that I have been breakout free. It took about 5 days of using it to see a difference. The peel burns a bit when you first start using it, but this decreases with use. The burning feeling is definitely not a deal breaker though and goes away as soon as you wash the peel off. I would definitely recommend this product!!!

Sylvia – :
product worked well, if youve never used glycolic acid this is a good product to start with. It took care of the rough skin issues. it does burn but use as directed and youll be fine.
Sandra – :
this glycolic acid peel works very well. I’m at the fourth peel and see a really major change in my skin. It’s almost acne free, which, even it was not more than two or three pimples, was quiet annoying. My skin is clear and feel healthier! WEll done! Shipping was fast too.
Nida – :
I have been using this for about 2 1/2 weeks now. It does tingle when you put it on, but I have been builing a tolerance for it. My acne is definitely better. I haven’t seen a difference in terms of pores seeming smaller or the finer wrinkles disappear, but it could be that I have not yet used it long enough.
A. Deluca – :
I was using this weekly, as recommended in the instructions but decided to try it as a spot treatment after 6 weeks and not enough progress. It’s been working much better as a spot treatment for my hyperpigmentation. I put a dot on every dark spot on my face at night after I wash my face. Then I wash it off after about 5 minutes and then put on some oil free lotion. It has been working much more quickly at this pace and with much better results for me. I highly recommend it for scars like mine that are just dark spots. I have been using the salicylic acid 20% on my acne as a spot treatment as well and have had much better results on my pimples.
Manon Comenant “nonicom” – :
I’ve used the Glycolic Acid 35% gel peel five times, spacing the treatments one week apart. I am not that sensitive to this so I put on a generous amount and instead of leaving on for about 4 minutes I have increased it to 10 minutes. What I feel is a strong tingling sensation but it’s not painful. There is no redness during the treatment or for the following week. I did notice some exfoliation, but not a lot. A side effect I noticed is some bleaching of the skin. I might try more frequent treatments or try something stronger. Definitely safe for someone who has not done this sort of thing before.
Lisa – :
WOW, I wish I found out about this stuff a long time ago, I spent a thousand in a dermatoligists “Spa” but never heard of this and it turned out great!
Rashida C. – :
I purchased this product at a time when I was suffering from horrible cystic acne breakouts on my chest and back. I was getting daily blackheads and it was horrible. My dermatologist told me the only solution left for me was accutane. I was scared to try accutane due to all of the side effects. I decided to try this as a last resort before going on accutane. I am glad that I did. I started off using the peel once a week for 5 minutes and quickly built my way up to weekly 10 minute peels. Not only did my cystic acne disappear, the acne scarring is improved as well. I will continue to use this product and take the necessary month rest between peels. I highly recommend this product to people with oily, acne prone, acne scarred skin.
Lisa – :
I have been using this product for around 2 months now and have probably done 4 or 5 peels in that time. I don’t really notice the peel when it is on my skin – except for an occasional mild tingly feeling. My skin is pretty used to this type of thing though so someone with more sensitive skin might feel it a lot more.
As for results, I can definitely tell that my skin is exfoliating at a more rapid rate which is leading to an overall improvement of my skin’s appearance. I am definitely going to keep using this product and think things will keep getting better with time.
Inspire – :
This product starts working from day one. Less peeling than the salyic acid. I use a foundation brush to apply the product and it works great.
Hugh – :
My facial skin was once compared to orange peel because of large pores. I have suffered from severe acne problems in my teens also I had some discoloration from sunburn and fine lines and wrinkles from all that smoking(I quit that 2 years ago). That was before I have started using glycolic acid 35% and salicylic acid 20% 100 ml since end of March (thanks for sending them both in one shipping cost). I have used them every Monday(glycolic acid) and Thursday(salicylic acid)for 4 and a half month. The result is INCREDIBLE. My facial skin is SMOOTH and EVEN TONE and most importantly SMALL PORES! At this rate, I think my skin will return to fully normal before these bottles used up. I copied the product feature down below because what they are saying is all true. If you have bad facial skin, don’t waste money on something else. Use these products! I now have confidence back and don’t look down when people look at me because I now have a nice and clean face that is presentable. The only issue I have is why didn’t I know about these products before.
J. Stevens – :
I have monthly breakouts, mild scarring on my cheeks and my skin is normal to oily and not sensitive. I’ve used milder glycolic acid in the past and even had an Obagi Blue Peel several years ago. I’ve been using the peel for a few weeks and have noticed the mild scarring on my cheeks is fading. I don’t think this will get rid of it 100%, but it is helping. It has also evened out my skin tone and has helped with breakouts.
Dan – :
I am a 40-year-old male with excessively oily skin, and some areas of my face have large pores. I have had glycolic peels in the past at a med/spa place along with microdermabrasion, with positive results but nothing lasting very long. I purchased this item and have used it now for about 3 weeks. I used it once the first week, twice the second week, and once the third week. Each time I have noticed an improvement to my skin: my pores look smaller, my face is less oily and just looks better in general. I recommend this product to anyone thinking about trying it. My skin is not particularly sensitive, so I didnt experiece much in the way of stinging, but I would guess that if you have sensitive skin that you start out with using it only for a couple of minutes to make sure that you dont “overdo” it. Follow the directions carefully. Great product, and much less expensive than going to a med/spa.
G. Holly – :
I am 35; I had large pores and wrinkled skin from sun damage (I never used sunscreen) so decided to try out this product. I would have to say that I love the results! The wrinkling is GONE and my skin looks a lot better than it has in a long time. I still have larger pores, but this peel has reduced the size of them some. I have been using this now for 9 or 10 weeks. The wrinkles from the sun were gone after the third time I used this product. A+++
Jessicareesecup – :
This is the best at-home glycolic peel I’ve tried! It really clears up my skin and reduces pore size. I’ve had many glycolic peels performed at the spa and this product is the only thing that comes close to producing the same results! I highly recommend it for oily skin types with large pores!
cyh cyh – :
I am 37 and there is plenty I would like to change about my skin. I mention this this to say there were several different ways this product could have worked for me. I saw all these great reviews so I was hopeful. I used this product for the full cycle but sadly saw very little real results. My skin was softer- yes… but acne/blemishes, pore tightening, discoloration- little to no change. Softer was the least of my goals (not many people are touching my face). Would I buy this product again? Nope. If you are determined to give it a try, lower your expectations. There is a possibility you will spend several weeks going through this somewhat laborious process for nothing.
Yvonne – :
I was waiting to see if I was able to see any significant results from using this acid peel, but its been almost 2 month from use, the only significant difference on my skin is the TOUCH. Right after utiliing this acid peel, the face immediately feels smoother and just makes your skin younger. But as for ACNE… or to remove SPOTS or to ELIMINATE wrinkles i don’t see any results just yet. Maybe it did help but I just can’t tell. Anyhow, I would recommend this product overall though!
Nichole L. Matteo “Nikki” – :
I was a bit leary but after reading all the great reviews I knew I had to try this. My skin has always been blotchy and I had the biggest pores ever on my cheeks. I’ve been using the product for 2 weeks and I can say that my huge pores are almost gone. My skin is even and smooth and looks fantastic. I have reccomended this to all my friends and mom. Even my boyfriend noticed and commented on how my “skin looks so young”. Give it a try!
Mabel Allen “belle89″ – :
I used this and followed the directions. All it did was burn like hell and i have noticed no difference accept for the scab it left on one cheek. I would really like my money back to be honest because now i am gonna have another scar on my face instead of getting rid of the ones that are there.
C. Escobar – :
I love Glycolic my complexion is a lot better and I don’t have break outs anymore
Carrie – :
I have been battling numerous skin problems for many years now and have tried every product available. In just two weeks, this peel made a big difference in my skin. My acne had cleared, the acne scarring was much less visible, and my skin was very soft. I am so excited to have a great product that is also very affordable! I will buy this again.
Bhimla – :
This product arrived really fast. I’ve used it three times and can see a difference. I’m using it for my acne marks and scars. My hyperpigmentation is lighter and my scars have become less noticeable. I use it once a week but my skin instead of getting used to it, is becoming more sensitive to it. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a brighter clearer complexion.
Claudia – :
This product is the best, I have been using it for two years and I can tell the difference. Better complexion and less wrinkles.
Efrossini – :
I received my Glycolic Acid treatment within the window which was allocated and I must say I was very impressed not only with the speed by which is was shipped, but the product is excellent and of top grade quality. I really didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. I would definitely order from this manufacturer again.
E. VILLARINO – :
I only used this twice so far since I’ve been mostly using lactic acid 50 but I would have to say that this is a rapid-acting peel. After two days, I saw my skin peel off. I used it on a body part other than my face. But will likely use it more once I run out of lactic acid.
Skin Laboratory is a great company to deal with. It answered all my questions and addressed any concern. I’ll surely buy from this firm again.
Joseph – :
The chemical product so far has given me very smooth skin. My scar I’m sure will take multiple applications to really get rid off. But its still a better value than say laser treatments.
Gabriel Duarte “Sun God” – :
I bought this a few weeks ago and was hessitant to use because I did not want to go to work looking like a tomato. I am only 33 yrs old and male who was becoming self conscious about my reckless youth of being out in the sun without any protection. Well needless to say I began to show signs of sun damage in the form of very light brown spots and some fine lines around the eyes. I was more self conscious because peers my age did not have any of the signs that I had so before I even considered some more expensive treatments I decided to give this a try. I applied it on with a cotton ball since I could not find a gauze anywhere in my home but will be purchasing some before my next application. I left it on 2 mintutes since I didn’t really have too much uncomfortness. I did apply moisturizer soon after which helped with the tingling and I have no redness on my face which is good. I do notice that my skin is softer but will continue my review after my 5th application and hopefully I can see some of the great improvements that you all are having. Do I reccomend? For the price I say give it a shot before wasting hundreds on professional treatments.
A. Iraclides – :
This gly peel is amazing. My face feels baby soft and smooth. I have had many professional peels in the past, but the results of this home peel are quite wonderful. Try it, you’ll love it!!!!!
Diane B. “BlacksofRaton” – :
My husband bought this to help remove brown spots that have
developed on his face from sun exposure. It is doing the
job and he is very pleased with the results.
Shondel – :
I have acne scarring from the previous years. I did my second peel and I noticed the change in the texture of my skin. The peel really makes your skin glow. I think by my 6th peel my acne scarring will honestly faded to the point where me skin will be one tone. I’m impressed.
Jennifer – :
Fast shipping! I recieved it two days after ordering. I’m loving this product along with several friends who have ordered now. The Glycolic 35% used every 5 to 7 days gives amazing results.
Leah – :
My little bottle arrived, well packaged, & on time. I’m ordering more for my sisters, & my friends. This stuff is working.I have pores on my nose that have no doubt diminished in size; this has been the most visible gauging of the product for me.I’ve used it only twice, can’t wait to see results from long term use. I had no “reaction” – no tingling, no redness, and i left on for ten min
Julie – :
GREAT PRODUCT! My product arrived promptly, and a day earlier than expected. I have used many glycolic products, and this is one of the best I have ever tried. My skin is clearer, and cleaner looking, and it’s great to help tighten up those pores! As with any product involving the word ACID-use it as directed if you do not know how your skin will react to it.
Paulina “PD” – :
I purchased this a few months ago and used it maybe 6-7 times. The only thing I noticed was that I had fewer breakouts. But that could be because I stopped picking at my face after doing a peel because I didn’t want to aggravate my skin if it was going to peel (which it didnt). I have pretty oily skin and get at least 2-3 cystic zits a month with a few regular ones. I will continue to use this to see if maybe longer use will help or I’ll get a stronger percentage peel. My skin is pretty though this one could be too weak for me. What I was hoping for was evening out of my skin tone, fading previous scars, and shrinking pores. What I got was less acne. Another little plus is that the bottle, even being small, lasts a good amount of time.
Lorrie J. M. “Lorrie” – :
I was nervous about self-applying an “acid peel” to my face; however, an esthetician friend of mine encouraged me to try it. After using it once a week for three weeks, I’m now able to leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing with cool water and moisturizing. I apply it to my face, neck, upper chest, and backs of my hands. I’m also applying DMAE serum twice a day. Already, I’ve seen positive results: my face is luminous, freckles/brown spots are fading, and lines and wrinkles are disappearing. Even my neck and upper chest areas look younger! I’m lucky that my skin is not super sensitive. This product will make your skin tingle, and my face is still a bit tingly this morning after an application last night. But, I take that as a sign that it’s working for me. I will absolutely re-order this product.
Angel – :
I recommended the acid peel to my friends and family after trying them out myself. Initially, my face remained the same but, improvement came after five weeks, my face is almost sportless now, I’m very happy. The free sample of salicylic/20gel peel was very generous and helpful, thank you.
Brandee – :
Love the peel; makes my skin feel ridiculously smooth and clean once I rinse it off. And I have have seen a noticeable difference after using it for four weeks. One dark patch I had on my left cheek for years is FINALLY fading! What more could I ask for?

After six treatments I started to see some results. I have now performed my eighth use of this product and am starting to see some fading of age spots. This is a good mini-peel product that has so far not caused me any peeling or redness after each treatment.

The Skin Laboratory continues to provide top-rate products with first-class service. This is the third item I have purchased from them and they never disappoint. My item arrived in only four days from the time of order! Thanks very much!
M. Mccandless – :
I received this product within about three days of ordering it. Very very timely delivery. I have used the product once and have already noticed a huge improvement in my skin, smooth as a baby’s bottom and noticeable reduced pore size! I’m in my mid fifties and noticed no stinging at all. I left the product on for a full 4 minutes and was left with a healthy glow complete with rosy cheeks. Listen to your skin. If it hurts, rinse it off like the company says.
Good luck to you all and thanks for reading my review.
L. Fong – :
I was excited to try this, hoping to reduce the brown spots on my face. I am a 48 year old asian with fair skin. I’ve used this 6 times and so far it hasn’t reduced the spots much at all. But what it has done is make my skin really smooth looking. The pores are much smaller, though not invisible but I’m not complaining. The wrinkles around my eyes are less noticeable too! My sisters commented on how it looked and I let them all try it. I was cautious the first couple times since I hadn’t used a peel before. 45 seconds the first time just to see how it would feel, then the subsequent times I increased the time, but never past 2.5 minutes. It stung a bit and made me want to scratch my face but it was bearable. I plan to try this on my son who has an acne problem. If this product can help with that, I will definitely order more.
wilsncon – :
I’ve only been using the product for 2 wks. Don’t notice anything yet except a little peeling.
U. Hampel – :
After reading reviews I though this would give me the results I was looking for. My skin is oily, but changing as I mature, so a few lines and wrinkles and large pores. I’ve used this 4 times (once a week this past month) and have noticed very little change. A bit of sloughing, slight reduction in breakouts, but no amazing results. My skin is not sensitive, so maybe I need a stronger treatment, but I do feel a tingling sensation when I use this product, so I get nervous about using something stronger.
Mikiah – :
Glycolic is great. My estiticion uses this on me during my facials with her. She tells me that I should only use 12% at home and tells me I should come in for facials. She’s also a good friend so I know she’s just trying to get me in the door! She doesn’t do anything different than I do. I have been using for 2 weeks and love it!

I have no idea what this is suppose to do. I thought it would make my skin more smooth. My skin doesn’t peel so i’m not sure if it works or not. I think it may be helping my pores to look smaller, but who knows. I may need a higher percent, but i’m not in a hurry to buy it.
L. Sims – :
this product is spa grade. however, good to use for between visit to plastic surgeons for peels. i will order again but, i will get the stronger 50-70 because my face is used the medical grade. so order and make it part of your weekly facial.
E. Pakhomova – :
I’ve been using this product for over a month already and I am more than satisfied with it. I am 22, but my skin is oily and prone to acne from time to time. I also had some pretty big pores and a few acne scars. I applied Glycolic peel on my skin after cleansing and scrubing it. 5 minutes work fine for me. I am rinsing it with a slight baking soda solution to neutralize the acid and then applying my regular moisturizer. Each time I look at my skin after that it feels so different, the turgor is significantly better, the color is more even and my acne, scars and pores really got smaller and less visible. I would recommend this product to everybody who doesn’t want to spend tons of money on facials and salon peeling. Just try it on a small area of the skin and try with 1 minute. Good luck!
biljan7 – :
I received this promptly and was nicely packaged. The peel itself was so mild I could barely feel it. I tried to leave it longer and I’m using it daily now to see if there’s a difference..so far nothing. I had used MD Forte in the past and had good results but I don’t like using a cream would rather use liquid. I will use a stronger strength and see how it goes.
young1 – :
I’ve only used 3 times, but it does seem to make my pores smaller. The shipping was very fast.
S – :
I bought this product to fade my tattoo. It was shipped to me quickly. It serves its purpose in that it is easy to apply but as far as using it for a facial chemical peel, I don’t think it would be convenient for application on the entire face. For that purpose I would recommend the gel peel product. If you just want to target spot areas then this might be what you want. It’s handy and not messy due to its roll-on application.
Alicia M. J. – :
Not great, dont really notice a difference in skin texture. Would recommend something else. Dont use if you have very sensitive skin.
lanbach79 – :
I was really surprised how fast the product delivered. I ordered the item on Sunday and got it on Wednesday (from Texas to Virginia)WTG!!! The website http://www.skinlaboratory.com is excellent and lots of detail information on the products and how to use it including videos, tricks and tips. I give 5 stars – remember, people have different skin types and the results are varies.
M. Burgos – :
Like the fast shipping! Product not as scary as others make it out to be! I am on my 4th peel, and it really does not peel much, but I have noticed my sun spots fading slowly! Does sting a bit, but nothing outrageous. I will keep using and look foward to clearer skin.
A. Argueta – :
I really liked this peel. I’ve used it twice so far and I have noticed a difference in the clarity of my skin and size of pores. What really impressed me about this product was that I noticed that my skin is much much less oily, throughout the day I don’t even notice any shininess around my nose (which is where my skin tends to be very oily). The second time I used it I steamed my face and used a comedone extractor to get all the gunk out of my pores then did this peel and my skin was super smooth.

i pay 125.00 at the plastic surgeons office for this peel and up to a 520-70% peel, so i think i will be just fine, thanks for the fast shipment.
Mrs Coltutt – :
My skin and I haven’t been on speaking terms for years. Horrible, brutal, stubborn, disfiguring cystic acne, so viciously tenacious that I had to go through…yes, count ‘em…not one, but TWO rounds of Accutane to rid my self of it, and I STILL get a nice cyst on my back or chest every once in a while. I had pockmarks on top of pockmarks…forehead, cheeks, temples, chin, bridge of my nose even. I hate my skin, I really do. I’ve gone through 2 deep dermabrasions (through a plastic surgeon, not the micro kind), plus about 30 DEEP chemical peels. My scarring improved a lot.
But professional options get expensive, and taking weeks at a time off while my skin healed wasn’t feasible. So I tried other methods to get rid of the rest of the scarring.
Over-the-counter products like Mederma didn’t help. Then as I aged, I got grayish, blotchy, dull, oily-here-wrinkly-there skin to add to my scars.
Lovely.
I’ve used salicylic acid, makes my skin red and papery. I’ve used Mederma, nothing.
Sorry for the big lead in, but I wanted to give y’all a good idea of what I was already “facing” (sorry for the bad pun).
I saw this Skin Laboratory’s 35% Glycolic Acid peel advertised, decided it certainly couldn’t hurt.
Bought it, received it very quickly, followed the easy-to-follow directions, love it. The lifeless, grayish appearance of my skin is gone. My smaller scars and pores are much diminished, after only 5 weeks of use, so much so that I can actually COUNT the number of scars I have left. (There were so many before, it was useless to count).
I will admit, I modified the instructions to fit my needs. I leave it on ten minutes at a time. Remember, I am a veteran of strong deep (EXPENSIVE) professional chemical peels, so my skin is quite tolerant to acid. I don’t get a visible see-your-skin-flake-off “peel” from this product either (something a few of you have complained about), but that’s so much the better! I don’t have to miss work for a week at a time to let my skin heal, like with the strong chemical peels. But believe me, the skin cells ARE sloughing off and being replaced. You know how that 10 pounds just snuck up on you after the holidays, and you didn’t notice? The skin rejuvenation you will get using this product is the same way: you don’t notice it until it’s done it’s work.
I use this product once a week. After next week (my 6th), I’ll wait a month before I go through the cycle again.
I’m also going to start using this product on my chest, which of course, is also scarred and weather-beaten.
Skin Laboratory, I Bow Before You. This is a superior product.
S. Wolf – :
I started off using a 10% GA wash the last couple of years. After the trouble w/ my skin started to escalate, I searched for something new. I tried the 70% Lactic Acid Peel w/ horrible results, possibly due to my inexperience w/ that type of acid. Then I tried 35% GA, and was very pleased. Since I am accustom to GA I have used the peel every other day, never exceeding 5 mins. My recent face explosion and marks, formed before starting GA peels, are quickly fading, but of course not fast enough. Since I saw this working I decided to add the 50% to my routine once a week.
If you are use to 35% GA, you should be okay w/ the next step up. I actually felt less tingling w/ the 50% than the 35%. The consistency was a little more liquidity than the 35% as well. This definitely boosted skin turnover and healing for me. I need to also note that this company produces their peels w/ a lower PH level than recommended. I am unsure how this affects my skin overall, but I have not had any negative results w/ it in any case.
I have only seen my skin get better, since using these products. However, I suggest resisting the compulsion to overuse them. The ill effects of sensitivity & skin thinning will ensue if you misuse them. Also, be careful not to over exfoliate the forehead, since it already has the least amount of padding on the face.
macoffey1960 – :
My product arrived very fast and I like it. I think most spas only use 33% and this is 35. Also, it feels the same as a spa. I would buy it again.
M. Higginbotham – :
I bought this a couple weeks ago. I have acne scars, pop marks, oily, acne prone skin. So i have tons of skin trouble. i put it on my face for about 10-15 mins and it stung a tiny bit but it went away in about a minute. I washed it off and went to sleep. The next morning I noticed that my pimples had dramatically reduced size, my cysts under my skin had gone away, it reduces the production of oil. Im rather young (22) so i dont have a lot of wrinkles but the little one on my forhead is almost gone. The scaring hasent seemed to diminish that much. SOme people’s skin peels a bit but mine hasent at all. I use it daily , followed by a moisturizer. I would recommended it for troubled skin or wrinkles.
S. Wolf – :
I just bought this and used for the first time.
It didn’t irritate my skin and I didn’t feel tingling.
I will probably have to get a stronger solution, though.
50% maybe.
I think that this could be a bit strong for some folks. The ph is around 1.7 (per Skin Laboratory website).
Maybe some would do well to get something a weaker? I think Cellbone offers glyco with 2.1+ ph.

Arrived quick even for remote Alaska, I have used this in the past and loved the results, especially for my adult acne!
spo1969 – :
this product is amazing. i noticed a difference after the first treatment.
very satisfied.
Heather G. – :
The product came quickly. I’m just not sure if there’s been any improvements in my skin texture. Def no peeling or anything along those lines.
M. Bishop – :
Product had instructions and perfect product and even better price. Thank You, I will be purchasing from you again!! Shipment came before expected.
Debra A. – :
The Glycolic Acid 35% is excellent, as well as your prompt service and delivery. Thank you.
Maureen S. – :
Arrived very quickly. Great price for this 30% glycolic lotion. Packaged safely and very clear instructions on use. A seller and I will buy from them again. Thank you!
K. Derix – :
the salicyclic acid turned out to be too weak for me somehow, but the glycolic was fine. the products arrived on time, so overall I’m really satisfied!
K. Derix – :
this chemical peel has just the right strength for me, plus I received the product without any problems.
A. Young – :
35% glycolic acid is TOTALLY DYNAMIC! Great price & service from skinlaboratory

Superfast delivery. This product works great. I love it.
R. Sola – :
I really liked this product and was able to see a difference after using it 3 or 4 times over the course of a month. The color in my skin is more even with less blothy spots and some fine lines are completely gone. I did not find it too harsh and did not experience much burning, just a little tingle. I did follow the directions very carefully and did not leave it on too long and was sure to moisturize right after each use. I did not have a problem with over-drying even in the Colorado winter, which impressed me very much. I liked it so much that I now use a cream with glycolic acid on a daily basis, it just has a much lower acid content, and my skin looks great!
M. Hopkins – :
After that initial treatment, the sting lessens (And I LIKE that feeling because then I know my skin is reacting!) and it just makes your skin feel like it does after a brisk workout…just a little tingly. Hasn’t helped discoloration.
L. Graulus – :
If this peel is suppose to remove a layer of skin each time you use it shouldn’t you be seeing a slight reduction in pores, light wrinkles and pigments each time? I do feel it working. Yet it is not painful or hard on my sensitive skin. It makes my skin feel smoother and tighter but so far I see nothing but it has only been three weeks. So my question is shouldn’t I see something right away and how long does it take? I am 58 and have some very faint wrinkles and have some age spots and red spots from sun damage. That is why I am taking this product to improve these spots I have developed in the last years. So from the others who have used this product have you seen improvements on these issues? It says professional formula so I expect more improvements.
V. Jennings – :
I was afraid to use these products because I was scared to try something new. I’ve just tried the peel and my face is smooth, clearer, and lighter.
I have not as of yet began to peel if that’s what it’s supposed to do…
However, I will give an update soon. I’ve also used the Neutralizer skin ph balancer and the Glycolic-Lactic Acid. I have had adult acne breakouts in which cause me dark spots. I used name brand products that did not work to the fullist.
I have had smooth skin until about 3 years ago from stress.
I enjoy these products already. I can hardly wait until tomorrow to see the results. Thank You for reading my review…

I AM HAPPY, JUST WHEN YOU PUT IT ON YOUR FACE PUT A LITTLE FIRST TO SEE IF YOU CAN TAKE IT WILL BUY AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Full, easy to understand directions enclosed. I will without reservation re-order without hesitation. Excellent service and product does EXACTLY what it claims to do. I am a nurse, and you MUST follow the directions to the letter so as not to create adverse skin reactions and conditions.

I ordered the item and it came in only four days!! Every time I order from them it comes in amazing speed. Since using this product my family complimented me on my skin…I am going to order from them every time
J. Love – :
Great product, Its wonderful to have a chemical peel at home, This is a light peel and works great, I ordered two and but received one, However once I contacted the company they responded every fast and shipped the other one promptly. Great product and great costumer service on my order.
JoeyDB – :
I’ve been using glycolic for a few years now. I started with a VERY light milk wash formula, but as my skin became tolerant I’ve escalated to high and higher potencies. This product is of great quality and the price cannot be beat. ( I know! I’ve been buying it all over the place at much higher prices.)
One must be careful with glycolic acid. Your skin must build up a tolerance. You cannot expect to jump right in with full potencies and extended periods of application. But once you’ve reached that point, you’ll be excited about your results!
Alice L “A.L.” – :
If you want smooth skin, this is a great product. It is also great for mild acne– you know those breakouts at that “time” ? If you use this product regularly, those monthly breakouts will disappear. It also smoothes out fine lines and gives your skin a great texture. I also mix a few drops with my daily facial cleanser!
S. werkman – :
I am thirty and have in the last few years noticed some brown spots larger than a typical freckle. I bought this product to attempt to remove them. The most worrisome for me is the larger spot above my lip (a result from my recent pregnancy that has not yet faded). I have noticed no difference with the spots other than a temporary (few hours) fading then a full return. My skin otherwise has been much clearer, the blackheads and dry skin have disappeared. I may have to use the product for more than 5 minutes or more often than once a week.
I highly recommend this product for oily or acne prone skin, or for light wrinkles. I so far have not seen evidence that it removes stubborn brown spots.
S A. Phillabaum – :
Great price, great product, Thanks
Kay “Kay” – :
I love this product. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and have been using this product for three weeks and I have noticed a great improvement on my pigmentation agreas. The plus to this product is how my face glows. I have only been using it for 2 minutes and I have noticed very little peeling or redness. I have been using this product with DMAE serum and Hyaluronic Serum by Source Naturals and everyone is commenting on how my skin is glowing. Don’t know if it is just one product or the combo but for the price of these products I will continue to use them all. Great value.
R. R Springer – :
So far it’s great. Can tell an improvement. Seller was very satisfactory.
Erika W. – :
This was my first time using a chemical peel and my skin is looking better and better with each peel. Thank you so much!!!
Matt F. – :
No Problems, was received ahead of schedule. Product works great.
T. Taylor – :
I have been placing this on my face once every week for 2 mins. I have noticed improvement in only 3 weeks. Make sure to use sunscreen during the day and lotion at night. I will purchase more products from this company! Excellant price for the amount your get!
Jeanna C. – :
not sure if its working..don’t see any peeling…but my skin feels nice right after I use it.
B. Walsh – :
Wonderful and effective product. Much more cost effective than going to a spa for a facial.
Nivia F. – :
Love the product. I have seen a big change in my complexion. It’s smoother and acne scars have faded. I would definitely recommend Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) Skin Laboratory
BML – :
I have skin that is too sensitive for regular use of OTC acne products – I have had mild to moderate acne since I was a teenager and I am now 43. A couple years ago I read about glycolic acid and started using an OTC 10% solution which was amazing for my skin really causing it to clear up. I discovered this 35% solution and have used it three times now and my skin is looking so much better. The 10% solution is very gentle on the skin – the 35% is a little tougher but the results are faster. This is really a must-have product for me.
C. Talkin – :
LOVE the product. Saved a bundle by doing my skin peels myself. My skin looked better the day I used it. Will continue to use the product on regular basis as I have been getting such positive comments….
Mrs. Featherstone – :
I have noticed reduced pore size, a more even skin tone. Face is not so oily since using this product. I love it!
Ani B. – :
I have moderate acne issues and in the last few months have noted a marked increase in blackheads across my cheeks. I also have some discoloration from sun exposure. I used the glycolic acid peel for the first time last night and I already see an improvement in the black heads on my cheeks. My face looks smoother in general. The pimples I get tend to be the hard ones that hang around FOREVER and tend to leave scars. They seem to be a bit improved as well. I also hope that after continued use, it will help with my brown spots from the sun. I have high hopes for much improvement!
W. Wehrman – :
Product was OK. Would not buy product again. Might do business with the seller again, may just be the wrong product for me. Order Arrived Very Quickly.
A. Diaz – :
Its great to clear scars and acne
R. Soto – :
after two applications skin is smoother and sun damage is clearing / fading. no irritation for four minute applications suggested in instructions. acid works as advertised.
WL “WL” – :
I bought this because I love how my skin looks after glycolic peels but am tired of spending so much money for them at the spa. The company sent the bottle immediately and included very detailed instructions on how to use it. Although my skin looks very fresh (glowing) from this peel I would urge anyone who is considering purchasing it to be careful while using it. Specifically, if it feels like it is burning, take it off! I left it on for a full 3 minutes even though two spots on my cheeks started to burn and turn red and now those two spots are totally red, blotchy and very sensitive. I should have only left the peel on for 2 minutes like the aesthetician at the spa does. Live and learn …
Chantel C. – :
I’ve only used this twice but I definitely notice it working on old scars and even huge pores. Skin feels smoother and I don’t think I’m going to waste any money at the dermatologist, at least for now.
T. Ashley – :
I bought this to use on my face. Worked great. Got rid of the fine lines I found I was getting. Made my skin feel so much smoother as well. I have recommended it to all my friends when they ask what I am using.
A. Estrada – :
Prompt delivery and great product. I have used the lactic peel twice and my skin is starting to look smoother. I will be trying the glycolic/lactic peel soon.
Meghan B. – :
Came much faster than I figured, and I am very pleased with my purchase. I will absolutely be doing business with Skin Laboratory again! Thank you!
M. Strickland – :
Very Pleased as I am from the UK and thought it may not get to me but it did. Also the product is out of this world. Thank you so much. Will buy again.
Jessica S. – :
This is good stuff if you have problem skin. I have cystic acne (big underground pimples) on my chin and this stuff really helps to dry it out and prevent it from festering.
Apply once a week for 6 weeks and then take a month off. Repeat.
I did the glycolic peel on Sunday nights and on Wednesdays I would exfoliate with a homemade exfoliator (mixture of liquid face soap like cetaphil, water, and cornmeal). Exfoliate for about 1 minute, rinse, and then apply a small amount of vitamin e oil to your face.
This combination of exfoliating and healing has really helped my skin.
Hope this helps!
K. J. Lafrance – :
helped with fine lines after only a few weeks and my skin is much tighter and smoother.
Clivia B. – :
No stripping or uneveness noted skins feels softer
A. Hope – :
This won’t make you into the next Angelina but it does do a great job of giving you baby smooth skin. It rolls on easily and the acid just stings like you really want to itch your face. But don’t worry, it’s not painful. It rinses off easily and when applied very regularly (for those with a better memory than myself to do that) it can definitely lighten blemishes and help erase the mistakes in your complexion. I started using it because it’s very similar to what my favorite spa uses in facials.
PrettyHair – :
I experienced a small degree of exfoliation and sloughing but not substantial enough to get rid of my acne scars. It serves as a good light peel only.
S. Patenaude – :
Follow the directions in the box and your skin will clear up beautifully! Great interaction!
smiles “smiles” – :
I believe this is the best peel for the skin. I notice a difference, a wake up to my skin, the very next day. I have the other two peels but this is, by far, the best of the peels. I use to go every three weeks to go get a peel, but it cost about 150 bucks plus I tipped her!!!! With gas prices, food and the cost of living I can not afford this luxury anymore so I found this amazing way to still get a peel. It’s not as strong as going to a doctors office but it works. You don’t peel at all-it simply wakes your skin up. This is the peel to get!!
Tanjala J. – :
This product was delivered in excellent timing. I had the opportunity to use the product the same day I received it and I am excited about seeing the results of the product. Although it’s too soon to tell if it works or not, I immediately liked the way my face looked the morning after. So again, I am excited and anxious to see the long term results of this product.
Heidi A. – :
Coworkers say my skin looks better.
Emmly – :
I always tend to stay away from chemical peels because of the horror stories I hear and because I have fair, oily, acne prone skin.
I purchased the 35% peel just to try it; to see if I’m missing anything. I’m sorry I didn’t have the guts to try it sooner.
)
It is absolutely fantastic. I had a couple of breakouts I could not, for the life of me, get rid of. I put this on with a cotton ball, and I did wait the full 4 minutes; it tingled, but did not burn in any way. I washed it off and thought “okay, no miracles here”. My face did feel smoother but that’s about it.
The next two days I noticed quite the improvement. My chin cleared up and my face was, again, smoother, and more even and most importantly, no breakouts. I did not need to even put on powder (which I did not live without).
You do have to use a moisturizer after the peel. I did the first time, but because my face is oily, I didn’t use one the second time. BIG mistake! My face was red and it still tingled 20 minutes after I rinsed off the peel.
As soon as I put moisturizer on, my face felt better and the redness went away.
This peel works wonders for me. I will keep on using it. It’s definitely worth the money.
L. A. Cook – :
i would reccomend this product to anyone that has problem skin.
T. Waitt – :
Awesome service, received in 2 days. Thank you for offereing this great product, works fantastic, after 1 application skin looks and feels fantastic. Thank you!!!
P. N. Busse – :
WHAT A GREAT PRODUCT TO USE FOR THE INBETWEEN MONTHS OF MY MICRODERMABRATION TREATMENTS. THE ONLY THING TO WATCH FOR IS NO AT HOME TREATMENTS FOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO A MICRODERMABRATION TREATMENT. I REALLY CAN SEE A DIFFERENCE IN THE SIZE OF MY PORES!! I WAS ALITTLE SCARED AT FIRST AND WASN’T SURE HOW TO APPLY (MY FINGERS VS. GLOVED HANDS VS. A BRUSH) SO I NOW APPLY THE PEEL WITH AN MAKE-UP APPLICATION BRUSH WHICH I CLEAN INBETWEEN AND IS ON RESERVE FOR MY GLYCOLIC PEEL SOLUTION ONLY. I PLAN ON BUYING ANOTHER BOTTLE IF THE RESULTS CONTINUE.
veggirl1964 – :
I am in my mid-forties and have had acne since I was a teenager. To make it even more fun, my hormones are bouncing all over now and I alternate between greasy skin, acne, dry skin, and have lines forming. The Glycolic Acid peel is the only thing I have found that works consistently on my skin. There is some tingling while it is on, but it is not unbearable. The next day my skin feels noticeably softer and looks smoother. A great side effect is that the acne is greatly diminished. I have been using this product about once a week for several months.
the anti-critic – :
This formula contains a concentration of the active ingredient in Alpha-Hydroxy products, which you simply apply, wait, and rinse. I have been using it about twice a week for several weeks now. Though the changes have not been dramatic, I have noticed an increase in my skin’s overall tone, and am finding that some pigmentation is beginning to lessen: it might be too soon to see major fading of skin discoloration, but I have noticed the improvement, so I would recommend this product. If you’re looking for the ‘magic bullet’, this isn’t it. But it is a good addition to your current cosmetic regimen.
Feelinggood – :
This stuff has been great. I got a mild burn the first time (yea, don’t try the full 5 min the first time) It has helped with my breakouts and my I get lot’s of compliments on my skin. Just take it really slow and start with a minute or two. Work up to longer. If you have sensitive skin, I would start with a lower percentage as well. Happy peeling!
Adrienne J. – :
A little hard to apply but I am seeing results slowly.
D. Gerard – :
The glycolic peel seems to be helping to lighten my skin pigmentation issues
Mattie K “Mattie” – :
I chose this product based on its customer reviews and it has really worked for me. My face is very sensitve but I was able to use this product without any problems and v. minimal reddness/irritation. Its also great for rough patches on knees and elbows. I’ve recomenned this product to my girlfriends as well. Its a a great value. Don’t forget to use sunblock after your peel.
J. Shaw – :
Product was sent out in a timely manner! I will definitely order from them again! It is an easy product to use and great quality!
R. E. Leineweber – :
I’ve enjoyed this product while it burns at first find away to fight through the first minute and you will be very happy the next day. I have a lot more smoothness and clarity to my skin.
D. Henkin – :
Everyone keeps telling me how good my skin looks. i love these products.
Bronwyn B. – :
LOVE the PRODUCTS! Will order from this company again in the future…have recommended these items to my friends. I am a product junkie and I love these peels! Shipping was quick. Packaging was done neatly and in a manner to best protect the product since it is being shipped in glass bottles.
Mel – :
I had some mild post inflammatory hyperpigmentation for which i was using a hyquinone fade cream and this peel has helped tremedously. I have used it about 3 times and have noticed a huge difference in my skins tone. it’s almost perfectly even again. I would highly recommend this product, especially considering that the price is a fraction of what a spa would charge for a single peel.
S. Roy – :
Yes I did not see any effect. I used as directed for only 4 minutes and rinsed with water- but did not see any change in skin discoloration, marks etc. It did burn and sting a little but was completely normal the next day. Now I did use Neutrogena Advanced sol Chemical peel before (1 month)- its good and I could see my complexion change right in front of my eyes! So I expected better results even faster- but nothing! But I did have to keep it on for 1 hr or so to notice any difference. So may be I’ll use this one for longer than 4 min and see what happens- its scary though due to the acidic nature of this peel- may be increase 2-3 mins at a time. I’ll definitely report if I see any changes. Tell me if you have had good results with this kind of peel.
F. A. – :
I just got this last week. I’ve used it twice and already notice a difference in my skin. I look forward to the improvements over the next 6 weeks. The package came discreetly.
May – :
I bought 3 items from Skin Laboratory: a) Lactic 35% & Glycolic 25% Combination Acid Gel Peel, b) Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, c) Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel.
I have used each peel for 4 weeks, rest 1 week in between, which is important to avoid sensitivity problem. The result from the combo is the worst. If you have acne, Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel works perfectly. It clears my occasional spots and whiteheads instantly. If you have uneven skin tone, large pores or fine lines, Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel brings about a much more dramatic and noticeable effect.
The only criticism is my skin is getting accustomed to this strength and I don’t see as much of that initial effect.
Crista V. – :
I have seen a difference, after only 3 weeks. The product is easy to use and only once did I leave it on too long under my nose – it felt like I had a sunburn there for a couple of days. The product instantly makes your skin feel much smoother and I am seeing a decrease in sun-discoloration.
Anne “MD2008″ – :
This product works great for me. I have mild, sometimes moderate, acne and noticed results right away with this peel. I use it before bedtime and wake up with softer skin- any blemishes that I might have that day appear reduced in the AM. It also seems to shrink pores/blackheads and styme oil production. I have also tried the 20% salicyclic acid peel which is more specific to acne treatment, but I find the glycolic peel works better for me. My suggestion is to try both. Of note, my skin is not particulary sensitive to chemical peels, so I didn’t notice the irritation that the other reviewers mentioned. It does, however, appear to fade old scars and heal current blemishes more quickly.
S. Downey – :
I’m very happy with this product and will be ordering more! Thanks!!
J. Frigo – :
this peel actually worked quite well, I did however use it twice a week, paying close attentio when and if it burned. Was a great starter peel to prepare for the TCA peel. Product arrived great, with the instructions needed.
Jane S. – :
Got these for an aunt whose cancer medication caused break outs. She likes it a lot.
A. Orozco – :
I have been using this product once a week and it has really controlled my breakouts. I have very oily skin and the Gel has minimized my pores and has helped smooth out my skin. I would recommend it for anyone with problem skin!!
D. Longobardi – :

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
Kellie M.B. – :
Fast shipping and excellent product.. Slight tingling when I apply and leave on, but I can tell the product is sloughing off thin layers of my skin at a time. Very nice. Thank you!!
Azra D. – :
Item arrived promptly, though it was an international order. As for the product, it comes with simple & clear instructions. It has milder effects than I was warned about, and the jelly liquid acts like excellent exfoliator, though it stings a bit.The skin has improved texture afterwards and it appears as if you had a facial – clean and plumped.
D. M. Neidhart – :
Received my order promptly and the product is GREAT!
Mish – :
Have been using Natura Bisse Glycopeel for years and decided to give this a try. Definitely not as gentle as the Natura Bisse product, but equally effective if you don’t mind a little faster peel and the accompanying redness (which goes away in a day or so). And, what a value compared to Department store product prices!! Will purchase again.
Chelleybean – :
I just got this product in the mail last week and I have used it twice so far. It says to use it once a week, but I didn’t really notice anything so I did it again 3 days later. I am definetly noticing a difference in my skins texture and my melesma is a lot lighter. I am hoping that with another 2 or 3 applications my skin flaws will be barely noticeable.
Edward R. – :
Great product – excellent results!
Priced Right Bargains – :
YOUR THE BEST! WORKS and MAKES ME LOOK YEARS YOUNGER. WRINKLES & SCARS GONE!
Caroline H. – :
Perfect Product ~* Immediate DRAMATIC results~* Very fast shipping!~I’ll return*
Melinda – :
I never had much luck with the hydroxy acids that were too harsh for my skin (I’m 23), but this glycolic peel was amazing! There was a tingling sensation, but it didn’t hurt, and 5 minutes later I rinsed it off and felt immediate results. Even my husband noticed that my skin texture felt softer. The next morning I woke up, and my skin was glowing… the acne scars had started to dissolve away and I literally had new skin. The bottle says that I can use this twice a week, and with such great results from my first use, I will definitely continue.

I just could not believe with my eyes the wonders this Glycoloc Acid does to my face. I see a brighter skin color, a skin that is tight and a healthy glowing face. Don’t underestimate its hospital-like and non attractive packing. Its potency really lies inside the bottle.
