Product Description

Our peels provide you the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of professional results at home, for a fraction of the cost. The 30ml and 100ml bottles are best for full facial applications. For specific areas, or spot treatments, we recommend the Glycolic Acid 35 Roll-On.

If You Need Something Stronger…

Glycolic/50 is 4x stronger than our Glycolic/35. It is generally well tolerated, but visible peeling might occur. The higher strength of glycolic acid will help with oilier and more resistant skin. It stimulates collagen growth more effectively than any of the other peels. The small molecule of a Glycolic acid chemical peel allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25% thickening over 12 weeks. Glycolic acid generally causes little or no visible peeling.

Glycolic Acid: The Workhorse of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent that is made from sugar cane. It is often considered the most active and beneficial of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA). (Hydroxy Acids are a class of exfoliants). With repetitive and continuous use of glycolic acid, improvement to skin tone and texture results. Once inside the skins cell, glycolic acid will serve as a catalyst for the formation of new collagen which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skins surface. Glycolic acid has been proven to be very effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma, actinic keratosis, acne, and oily skin, as well as other cosmetic uses. Glycolic Acid 50% Peel is great for razor bumps.

Proven Effective

Clinical research and patient treatments clearly prove that AHAs are effective in helping to keep the skin clear and healthier. The research also confirmed that the majority of AHAs have larger molecular structures that do not penetrate the top layer of the skin (stratum corneum) without high concentrations and lower pH levels. Glycolic Acid is the most adaptable and beneficial AHA. Its tiny molecular structure allows it to penetrate the epidermis to accelerate the body’s exfoliation process. It “loosens” the glue that bonds the cells together, allowing thickened and dead cells to “disappear.” The end result is smoother skin with better coloration, tone and texture. You will see improvements in cell renewal, firmness, texture, reduction of fine lines and increased moisture levels.

A Safe, Controlled Peel is the Way to Go

The goal with a safe peeling regimen is to cause the skin to come off in a controlled way, with each peel taking off a few more layers of accumulated skin. With each application of the peel, the results are incremental. You should notice results within the first couple of applications, and the tone and texture of your skin will continue to improve as the layers of old skin are slowly removed to reveal new skin beneath.

    :

I bought the glycolic 50 gel peel for my chickpox scars, and I am glad to report that they are gradually going away with each treatment. I seen immediate results after about 2 weeks, probably wouldve seen more if I was consistant on the treatments. I seen the depth of the spot decreasing and lightening up. Great products and great results, I am very pleased.

I just finished my second application and left on two minutes. Yes it tingles and burns but tolerable, but I following the instructions, using once a week and increasing my time each week up to 4 minutes as I build more tolerance to the feeling. I have not yet had any down time, not redness or visable peeling. I am black soap to wash my face and a glycolic Toner before appling the peel. After the peel I use JoJoba oil and a little shea butter to calm the skin. The next day I continue my regular routine with washing with Black Soap, using Glycolic Toner and following with Glycolic moiserizing face cream. I wait for it to dry and apply a little sunscreen to my face before my make up…face feels really smooth all week and I look forward to my next peel. I did not start out with a lower acid… I began with 50%, my skin tolerates it well so far. I will update once I reach 6 weeks of treatment and the full 4minute application. So far for the price and the results, it is worth the purchase. I have fair skin and I am 44 yrs old. I bought the product to reduce wringles around eyes, frown line around mouth and between eyebrowes, I hope to reduce the size of pores and even out skin tone. I do not have a lot of sun damage… just age lines. I still apply sunless tanning to my face after 48 hrs and it last much longer because the dead skin cells are fewer.

I’ve only had a chance to try this product once, but so far it seems to be helping my skin. I recently got a sunburn on my face… so I need to wait a couple of weeks before trying this peel again. I’m sure it will be a good outcome though.

    :

    hi there!
So my package arrived this morning, and I did the first peel right away. A bit of history about my skin situation: I’m a mountain biker, 34 years old, and the many hours in the sun has taken its toll. I live in Cape Town South Africa, and I am Coloured, which basically means I have a brownish complexion. I’ve been struggling with hiper pigmentation for a long time now, and have received a couple of glycolic acid treatments from my dermatologist. The treatments I received did help to some extend, but did not clear the marks up 100%. It did leave my skin glowing and refreshed, and I did receive compliments about my skin. The treatments became too expensive, and that is why I’ve decided to buy this product online, to see if I can get the same results if I do it myself at home.

Back to this product: it is a gel, and not watery as I expected, but this is actually good, as you can control it better. I did feel it sting, but really not even as much as the 20% peel I received from the derma. As it was my first at home peel, I did not leave it on longer than 5 minutes, as I wanted to first get a feeling for the product. There is a slight difference in my skin tone, but not as much as I would like, and got from the dermatologist peels.

All in all, I am just glad I did not have a bad reaction to the product, and since I have it now I will continue using it. I think I may have really tough skin, and might need something a little stronger. I will use it once a week, to get max benefit.

I have stubborn sun spots on my cheek bones. I’ve tried many products that promise to diminish the sun damage and nothing has worked as well as this product. After only one application the spots began to diminish, my face looked a lot brighter and smooth, and many face isn’t as oily as before. This product truly works and the price is amazing!

I didn’t have the severe burning that I have had with other GA’s, but still had the results. I also liked the gel consistency.

What I appreciated was the sample that came with a personally signed card with recommendations signed by William. Very nice human touch. The products are so awesome and really not harsh once the instructions are obeyed.

    :

I wanted to add to my previous review…I applied these products yesterday and after looking at my skin more closely, I see definite improvement on some areas that have degenerated since I have been off Obagi. When I’m not on a routine, I develop mild acne, oily skin, and larger pores. After just the one application of the salicylic acid and glycolic acid the acne is already better, my skin is much less oily, and my pores appear smaller. Also I am seeing a little peeling on my chin, which always peels first. I am buying a larger salicylic acid from this manufacturer immediately.
Even if I don’t get the exact results I’d get spending a fortune on Obagi, this stuff is DEFINITELY worth the money. Would recommend adding trenoitin to your routine, though.

    :

I received this product yesterday. As others have noted, it arrived quickly. I applied the (free!) salicylic acid peel and then the glycolic acid. No, I did not follow the recommendation. I’m not conservative and have had major clinically-supervised peels before as well as using the Obagi line regularly in the past so I’m not afraid. I also kept both on for longer than the few minutes recommended, about 8 minutes each. The salicylic acid did cause frosting and did sting(which i find encouraging). The glycolic acid did sting as well. It all subsided shortly after removal. I also put on 0.05% tretoinin(Retin-A) before bed. Again, not folowing directions.
So here’s the deal. So far, I am optimistic. I am not peeling the next morning, but I never peeled the next day anyway. My skin DOES look better, however, smaller pores and very smooth. I know what the other products made my skin look like during various stages and this is causing a similar effect.
I know many people say you don’t have to peel for it to work, but having gone down this path in the past, a good peel is what I’m looking for. That said, professionals will always tell you you have to really work on your skin for a while with a lower-strength combo of glycolic and trentinoin to get the most of your higher-strength peel, i.e. Fr skin to fall off your face. Past experience has shown me this is true and I have not done that. So if I don’t peel immediately, that could be the reason.
The moral of the story is so far so good. No matter what, the $25 I spent was definitely worth the results I’ve gotten so far, and I tend to think I’ll get a good peel after a few days. If not, I’ll just re-apply. I think it’s a good product. I’ll post another update after a few days.

    :

I’m getting up in my age. LOL…Really and can tell that my skin is not what it use to be. Fine lines and some dryness. I have started using this once a week. I’m 39 and my skin looks much younger. It fades my fine lines and makes my skin and make up look much clearer and make up goes on smooth. I leave it on anywhere form 6 to 9 mins. I would not leave it on long if you are very sensitive skin or fair skin. I have medium to light skin. I feel a difference in my skin.

  11. 5 out of 5

    :

I’ve only done two peels using this so far (also used a lactic peel before the glycolic), but my skin already looks a 100 times better! I had a few spots/scars that just would not go away…after just a little over a week, they are fading and healing, and my skin feel so fresh. I would say that the glycolic peel is much stronger than the lactic peel, so if you’ve never used glycolic before, I would suggest starting out with 20% or 30%. Also, I would definitely not use more than once in a 7-10 day time frame, since peels can thin your skin and cause long term damage if abused. Also, DO NOT exfoliate before or after using this, as it can tear your skin and make it much more sensitive.

I used the lactic acid first and then followed with the 50% glycolic. Which is not recommended for sensitive skin or a novice…I’ve been using 30% glycolic pads 2-3 times per week for the past two years, so my skin was accustomed to the stinging. Start out slow and follow with a good moisturizer. I’ve recently discovered coconut oil and have been using that after peels. I have combo to oily skin, I’m 30 years old and still get the occasional breakout. The coconut goes on oily, but absorbs quickly and does not clog my pores at all. I feel like it really takes the sting out of the peel too and calms my skin down. There is a lot of research that says it helps with acne too (google it). Just a suggestion…every person’s skin is different though. Use common sense and follow the directions and everything should be fine.

I wish I did a before and after.

Never having acne as a teenager when I turned 22 I started getting really bad acne on my forehead. I managed to buy a facewash that put it under control, but that wasnt fast enough because my entire forehead (which I have a big one) has been scarred by acne.

I tried EVERYTHING very expensive scar removal creams kits etc. I tried one acid peel before this but it didnt burn at all, so I decided to try this.

    2 things:
1.) go to an arts and crafts store and get a paintbrush, apply the acid with the paintbrush, you get way more uses and its much more accurate
2.) get a moisturizer, I use tree oil extract with vitamin e its like 10 bucks on amazon

Ive only used it maybe three time but I can definitely tell my scars are fading and quickly, its still a little weak for me but I do feel a burn. I think im gonna finish off the bottle and try one more up, everyones skin is different though. I cant feel A THING on my forehead, but i remember I accidently put in on my cheek (which has no acne) and it burned a hole in it like a scar…you just have to test out what the tolerance is on where you wanna use it.

I love these peels. I know some might have a little concern that they are professional grade but it was so easy. I didn’t have any negative side effects at all and I have to admit I left the peel on longer then they recommend.

BUT, this has really made my skin much smoother, helped clean out my pores and keep them clean, softened my skin… Plus, if you do have a breakout, it really helps speed along the healing process.

I use this once a week and really notice the results.

    :

Wow…this took some getting used to as I am a redhead with sensitive skin, but I have really noticed a difference in the texture of my skin and the radiance…I know that since I have not used it but three times, its effects may be more obvious with more use over time. I will purchase this product again!

    :

This product I have used before in the lower strength. It appears to have similar results as the lower stength. I should have maybe purchased it in a higher acidic formula, as this one is just alright. I would go with the lower acid formula given the option. It did nothing more then create alittle brightness which I was getting from lower formula.

This peel is fabulous! I have used it for a couple months and my skin looks amazing! I abuse my skin all summer, so I was ready to reveal smooth, soft skin. This did the trick!

You won’t see magical results in 30 seconds, but in 2 weeks I’ve seen great results. If you are or have African American or Black descendants be very careful when using this or any acids/ chemical peels on your skin.

    :

I’ve been using 50% Glycolic Gel every week for a few years. I’m 62 years old and get plenty of compliments on my skin, many from younger women. After cleansing and when my skin is completely dry I pour a bit of the gel into a shot glass (actually, one of those little plastic cups that come with cough syrups) and fill till just the bottom is full. Then I dip a cotton gauze pad into the gel, dab onto my skin from hairline to just below the jawline and wait about 7 minutes. It does tingle (burn) sometimes but I’ve never experienced any burnt patches. I rinse with barely warm water – and lots of it! It’s also a must to moisturize day and evenings, plus use a reputable sunscreen everyday. I live on the Olympic Coast of Washington State and true to the “Twilight” series it’s very gray and rainy, but even overcast days have a UV index, so the sunscreen goes on!

Why pay for a chemical which can run $100+ when you can do it at home for cheaper? My sister and I swear by this. This stuff is amazing. I am very acne prone, but using this in addition to Retin-A as per the advice of an aesthetician has really cleared up my skin. And bonus: it’s anti-aging as well. Can you say winning?

    :

The product worked well. Directions were explicit about timing the application and use of the product and there were no harmful effects when following those explicit instructions. I am very pleased with the product and will most likely order the product again from this seller.

Strong acid that bites. I used this on a pitted scar and it got worse. Inconsistent results for the face for acne scars. But very good for skin tags and discolouration. Can use this in place of lazer for those small skin tags using cotton bud to apply. Not recommended for pitted scars though. For pitted scars, try Derma Rolling. Use this acid on back and body acne scarring and discoloration. Cheap and effective solution. If anyone can teach how to use this properly on full face, please advise.

    :

i started out with huge blotches of redness on my cheeks, i tried fading creams and what not, but they didn’t seem to do anything, so i decided to give this peel a try since it states that its very effective against hyper-pigmentation, and it sure as well was. I didn’t see anything noticeable on the first time i did the peel, only that my cheeks were now smooth and real soft, I am now on my 6th peel, and i can say about 78% of my redness has dissapeared. i am so glad i turned to this product as my last resort, but if i only i knew about it sooner, i would’ve saved myself alot of money from those cheap uneffective facial creams on stores :/
its a well worth buy if you got redness issues, *****just make SURE that you use a moisturizer right after the peel, because then your skin may start to peel, and get irritated *****

i left the peel on for about 8mins before washing it off ( it will sting and make you wanna scratch your face off due to the itching, but its well worth it afterwords :) )

    :

Yes, it works pretty good. Since the 2nd time I used I could notice the difference in my deep stretch marks on my legs. However, I let the product longer than they recommend, between 15 and 30 minutes. I will buy it again when it is over. I guess for face imperfection it works pretty good too. Also, it is very important you use a good sunblock, otherwise you can damage your skin very serious.

I started with 35 and bumped up to 50. 50 stings way more on my face but it works. My skin is much improved with the use of these peels but you have to wear sunscreen and eat well to maintain nice skin. The lines and spots come back quickly!!!

    :

I had to wait a bit to review while using this product. I have been using this peel once a week for a couple months and it is awesome! My colouring is more even, pores smaller and it has definitely improved the texture of my skin. For years I had a wee hole on my cheek, from what I do not know. I have noticed it is completely gone now. You can feel it working it’s magic so have a fan close by and tough it out. Rinse with plenty of cool water. I have been applying a cortisone gel afterwards that I had got from a spa where I had a series of 6 very expensive peels done. The redness is gone soon. I use a light weight cream and plenty of sunscreen afterwards. Love it!!!!! BTW, I am 52 years old and thought I looked great before but this peel really improved upon that 100%.

So I ordered my glycolic peel 50% about 4 weeks ago, and I recieved it like a week later…. Not happy about that. Well I’ve been using it for thr.past three weeks and I used it probably twice a week and have not seen any peeling yet. Ive not used a lesser percent before I figured if it burns too much ill dilute it but the irritiation ia not that bad, its.handleable. My skin does feel clean and bright after but its not soing what its suppose to. my main concern was to get rid od my acne scars and discoloration. Well ill keep using it maybe ill see results.

  35. 5 out of 5

    :

I have already used it once and will use it again on Saturdy. I had this done by a professional once and it worked exactly the same. So yes, I am happy with this product. I would tell people to follow the instructions and do not use it more than once a week and absolutely do not go outside without sunscreen that has been applied 20 minutes before otherwise you will burn.

  36. 3 out of 5

    :

I have used the glycolic acid 50% gel peel quite a few times now. It did not cause my skin to “peel” like it did when I had a peel done by my dermatologist and I was feeling skeptical. My skin does seem a bit clearer and tighter. I would really like my old acne scars with lighten more but I think I should go with a stronger peel next time.

  37. 5 out of 5

    :

I’ve been using this product now since September of 2010 and it has really helped improve my skin. Since my late twenties I’ve struggled with cystic acne and terrible breakouts on my cheeks and around my mouth. Even during the few months where my acne would settle down, I would be left with terrible red, purple and brown marks all over my face. The marks would fade on their own after 3 to 6 months but my acne would flare up in between creating brand new marks – very depressing. Since using this product on a weekly basis I’ve found that old marks fade in about half the time (4 to 6 weeks), and while I still experience adult acne flare ups, they’re not nearly as severe with regards to duration or number of breakouts. Initially I used this product once a week for the recommended time of about 4 minutes. Now I use it once a week for about 10 to 15 minutes as it appears that 4 minutes was no longer producing the tingling/stinging feeling it had before. I still get the same great results but I think I may upgrade to something a little stronger once this bottle is gone. I’ve never had any noticeable peeling, other then what you might notice as a bit of exfoliation the first three days after use (particularly after a warm shower). Again, it’s a gradual process, but anyone who has experienced PIH long enough to know that they can take many, many months to fade on their own will probably feel a lot like I did to see them fade in just weeks. No longer embarrassed to be seen without makeup as any marks I do have aren’t all that noticeable any longer and with just a little bit of makeup my skin looks flawless, something I couldn’t have pulled off in the past even with a lot of coverup. I’m extremely happy.

    :

I’ve used this about 4 times now and have noticed a smoother quality to my skin along with my pores becoming smaller. Some of the other reviews were talking about the skin actually peeling or being burned which hasn’t happened with this to me. I’ve worked up to about 7 minutes on and it definitely itches in the more sensitive areas like around the nose. I’ve also figured out to slather on a thick moisturizer afterwards which really soothes my face. I’ll definitely keep using this.

Wow, my skin already looks better. I have freckles, and sun spots and my skin already has improved. After the first use my husband told me a was glowing. It brightened my skin immediately. I’m VERY careful to use a strong SPF and have used this product once a week since I’ve recieved it. I did experience some visible peeling, but it wasn’t too bad. Moisturize well after use!!

    :

It is very good and nice product, it does what it is supposed to do, but for me not with visible peeling. I think it depends on your skin conditions. I gave it 4 stars, because I found that BHA+ is much more better and powerful for my skin which have moderate acne.

Arrived faster than delivery date and after use, I noticed instantly tighter skin, smaller pores, and less oil. After a week I realized the ” laugh lines” that go from your nose to your mouth were a bit softer! After One Peel! Great stuff!

    :

Results were better than I had hoped for. My skin has been cleaned up significantly. I have very sensitive skin, and had used the 35% twice before at the dr.’s office for more than what I paid for this. It brought problems to the surface that eventually sloughed off. The first time I used it, more blemishes showed up than now because my skin is cleaner, clearer & brighter. I used it on the bottoms of my feet to slowly remove callouses. I can leave it on as long as I want now without any burning. I also purchased the HQ+ & was very happy with that as well.

  46. 5 out of 5

    :

Good. This stuff is no joke! I have use 35% and decided I needed to bump it up a notch for this round of treatments. Most of my face is fine with the 50%, but certain areas (nose, cheekbones, and under-eye/crowsfeet areas) are easily burned by it. I have to do two sessions: a longer one for the majority of my face and a shorter one for the delicate areas. I have burned myself a couple of times–although not severely–, so be careful with this until you know how it affects your individual skin. And for goodness sake, don’t leave it on longer than recommended because it’s hard to gauge how much it’s doing to your skin until you rinse–and then it’s too late.

It is prickly while on the skin, but fanning helps. I neutralize by rinsing with water, followed by a bakingsoda & water rinse.

I will definitely use this product again when I do my next round of peels.

*Remember, skin needs that time off between peel series to recover and rejuvenate.

My first transaction with this company. Had this product once before and was already sold on it. Having had many good experiences with Amazon in the past, I decided to get another DermaWand through their seller. Very pleased; would deal with them again.

  48. 1 out of 5

    :

The product I received must be different from the one the other reviewers are raving about. I have used 10% Glycolic Acid and know how skin starts tingling or stinging after a few minutes of use. 25 minutes after I applied this product (50% Glycolic Acid),I still felt nothing: no tingling or stinging. I would return this product if the seller accepted returns.

  49. 2 out of 5

    :

I started off with the combo glycolic acid/lactic acid product because I have sensitive skin and wanted to start with a low strength. There was a little tingling, and the areas around my mouth dried out a bit, but my skin accommodated quickly. I found that that strength was not doing much, if anything, so I ordered the 50% glycolic acid. There was some slight tinging on my chest, but nothing on my face. I find it hard to believe this product is the strength they say. I will keep using it for a while and see if I get any results.

Maybe I’m wrong, but the real issue I have with this company is that I suspect most of these reviews are fake, esp on the company website, but also on Amazon. The writers all seem to have a similar writing style and often write long reviews giving instructions on how to use and claiming great results. I’m not buying it. The real reviews are the ones with one or two stars. Just my opinion.

The first 3-min application hurt a little (it was itchy and a little stingy). I noticed my skin felt tighter afterward. I peeled on some small parts of my face. Otherwise, peeling was minimal. Application of some moisturizer hid it. I tried my second peel 6 days later and it didn’t hurt as much but was still itchy. I left it on for 10 minutes. After removing the peel and drying my face, it was tight again, just like the first peel. This time, there was no peeling at all. My skin must have gotten a little thicker. Who knows. But, it just makes my skin feel tighter and I have no blemishes (I usually don’t get many blemishes anyway, but my skin tone is even now, no red spots, no irritation spots). I would definitely recommed this as an addition to anyone’s skin care regimen. I kind of want to find something stronger, since I tolerate this so well.

I’ve had some peels done at a local Spa, but they got to expensive over time and I decided to do it myself. One application with this acid at the Spa I went to costs 150 Dollars. You can easily do 10 applications with this 30 ml peel. That’s 1500 Dollars you’d have to pay at my Spa. TOO MUCH! Get this one here instead. 26 Dollars is ridiculously cheap. But, I would still suggest you get it done at a Spa at least twice, just to see how it works so you get a feel for it, and you will know what to expect. Always do a test spot behind your ear or anywhere else. Then you’ll know how your skin might react to it ( “might” because your face skin is more sensitive, so it may be different on your face).

ATTENTION: THIS PRODUCT MUST NOT BE USED MORE THAN ONCE (1) A WEEK!!!

I can’t believe people said on here they would use it every day! No! You will severely damage your skin! It’s an acid after all. Do not overdo it!

the site is pleasure to use. the service, instructions and packaging is great. but it is not % what it says or the ph is higher than indicated!!! i have tried 50% glycolic only 1 week after i had 12% tca and skin just finished the peeling (mention this, because the skin should be more easily irritated) and no effect at all. i applied to one broken spot, it even did not sting. i have also tried salicylic 20% and the effect was even less noticeable than from 3% i have purchased previously from another seller. really confused.

I bought this peel under the suggestion of my dermatologist after I developed a staph infection that spread across my neck. Bactroban cleared the infection up, but I was left with dozens of tiny purple/brown colored marks all over my neck. My derm said this would be good to speed up recovery and would also help with the red marks I had left over from acne. I had used the HQ+ peel previously to lighten the red marks but all it did was lighten my skin, making the dark marks even more noticeable. I had been using a neutrogena face wash that had glycolic acid in it and was amazed at the effect it had on my skin, so I knew the glycolic peel would be good. Sure enough, after a month of using this peel, the marks on my neck have faded from bright purple to a more demure brown tint as well as decreased dramatically in size. Red marks on my face have faded tremendously, although I have new ones now from acne that arose during the purging period when I first started the peels, but they’re fading as well. Granted, this is no miracle cure, it takes time and patience to see drastic results, but it seems to be working very well. My only qualm is the strength. Perhaps I have thicker skin (I am a guy, after all) or maybe my skin is more sun damaged than others, but only leaving the peel on for 5-10 minutes did nothing, gave me a slight burning sensation with no redness or peeling. I’ve been having to leave mine on for anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes in order to get redness, peeling, and a noticeable difference, as well as doing it in a pattern of once a week, twice a week, once a week, etc. When my bottle runs out, I’m considering trying a 70% with a different brand. However, I highly recommend this product to anyone with skin discoloration, whether it be from acne, sun, old age, or medical reasons. I’m 20 so perhaps my young age has something to do with the quicker healing and results, but even so, this product is by far the best I’ve tried.

I purchased this product after hearing my sister rave about it. This peel worked really well for me. I have medium complexion, african american skin, so when I get zit scars, it noticeable. After about 3 treatments (every 10 days) the scars I had were significantly lighter. Me being the product junkie I am, decided to try the BHA peel, because a lot of the reviews said it made their skin a lot less oily, and it did! It also made me get cystic size pimples on my cheeks too, which some reviewers also stated. So, now it’s back to the glycolic!

in my over-40 skin. 50% only stings a bit, and, doesn’t have an ugly peeling period, for me. My 11s are improved and my feet are so much softer. I reordered before I ran out.

I have ‘resistant’ skin and this did the trick! I rinsed my face with water & then used astringent to remove any oil. I applied, left on for 5 minutes, and got a definate tingle. I would recommend.

I was afraid of this at first, so I took it with me to get a facial! It burned a bit, but nothing bad. After 3 treatments, peope noticed! My skin tone evened out and the fine lines and wrinkles diminished some. Although nowhere near surgical results, for the price…a mini face re-surfacing. Start out slowand gradually increase the time you leave it on. Will deinitely buy more, but this little bottle lasts for a long time. Great product. After the first reatment, no burning or redness, just smoother skin.

I have used 20% glyclic acid for years for my acne with good but modest results. I think my skin got used to it, so I wanted to try something stronger and purchased this 50% peel. Not only was this not stronger, it did not even have any tingling or burning – even when I tested it on a virgin skin area. What I have discovered is that much depends on the amount of “free acid” in a product, and this product must have even less free acid than the other 20% that I was using. This is deceitful and the manufacturer should not call it 50% glycolic acid. A total wast of $28.00.

The product they sent me was not the right one, they sent me some lesser product, it was the salycilic acid 20% instead of the glycolic acid 50%. I’m not really pleased.

The effect, for the time/trouble/price is very good. If you have paid for the treatment at a salon or spa, you know what I mean. If you haven’t tried Glycolic Acid at a professional concentration, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Use as directed, be careful of lips and eyes, WEAR SUNSCREEN, moisturize and eat right and you will see an improvement in you skin, from wrinkles to breakouts. Don’t use on open breakouts, it will fry the edges of the skin. If you are new to skin care, or you have dry skin, you might want to dilute it. If you are new to it and have oily skin, don’t wash your face first, the oil will help dilute it. Be gentle with your skin for 24 hrs after, no picking or pressing, this can leave broken vessels/red splotches. However, I use mineral makeup after with no problems.

This is a favorable glycolic acid peel: it’s mild and I did see some pleasant result. The Skin Laboratory products are by far better than other peels available for “over the counter” (not from a dermatologist’s office) purchase: I enjoy ordering from SL because it’s expedient and professional.

This peel is very effective and strong. A warning, start with a lower percentage until you see how your skin adapts to the different concentrations. I had ordered the 35% previously and was pleased with results so I decided that my skin could handle a stronger dose. My skin is very fair with freckles(red hair skin), and I had age spots, large pores, some old acne scars, general roughness, and some lines. I had used Ponds Rejuveness for 4 months prior with amazing results, so this was to further that experience as It had glycolic acid. I am thrilled with the results of the peel. My skin is so smooth now, pores so much smaller, NO acne scars, and all the age spots are gone except one very small area that is going away. My face looks so much younger..like about ten years! I continue to use the Ponds everyday and the peel about every 5 to seven days. If this keeps up, I will not have to wear any foundation.

I love the products. I received a mini sample of salicylic acid peel with my last order..and I think I am going to buy that from them in the future. Their peels are cheaper than a lot of others in the market and work just as well.

Even though the product says “Peel”, it does NOT, actually, make you peel, however, it does make a major difference in your skin’s skin tone and touch. I have tried, virtually, everything from a department store to a mall kiosk expensive face products, but this one (who I heard about from my dermotologist), combined with a sunscreen will make an absolute noticeable difference in your skin when used once a week. Glycolic Acid 50% may be a little high for some people with sensitive skin, however, those who have received regular treatments of other types may find this to be just right. It will sting, slightly, when applied during the first 5 minutes or so that it is left on your skin before it is washed off. It has found a permanent place on my shelf!

This is a great product. The first time I used it, my face was so clean and smooth looking…all the dead skin was gone. It didn’t burn me as badly as I thought it would or as I read on other reviews. Nice concentration to start with.

    :

I purchased this product approximately one week ago and I already see a vast diffence in the texture, quality, and clarity of my skin. Fine lines are diminished, large pores have shrank, and I look at least a year younger. If you’re a mom and you want to look like you did prior to having children this product does the job! It’s amazing. I will continue to use this product for the next month or two and give you guys an update. This peel is not the strongest home peel but I am confident that it is just strong enough to get the job done. Other peels have seared my skin and left it a puffy, red mess. This one is effective without being brutal. Thumbs up!

Word of Caution: Use as directed. However, I apply a small amount to a Q-tip to erase the creases under my eyes taking care not to get to close to the eye this stuff will burn,. To fully stop the acid peel I like to use a warm solution of water and baking soda as a neutralizer. Its cheap and very effective.

dont have any unrealistic expectations, just be patient and careful, don’t overuse or put on for too long, follow the directions, I’m sure there will be some improvement.

    :

I started off with the Glycolic Acid 35% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional) and it did well. I only switched to the higher concentration as I seemed to get used to the 35% and wanted to try the stronger product. The 50% has done equally well for me as the 35%, I just use it for a little less time.

I originally bought this to use on a surgery scar on my body with hopes of lessening the scar’s appearance. I have a few scars on my face that I didn’t even think of using it on, as they are small and have faded a bit. I’m just used to them. I have finished the 35% and now I am several uses in using the 50% the fine scars are seriously faded and are difficult to see. I never thought this would be possible.

I have applied the 50% 4 times in the last month. I left it on longer each time (as I did with the 35%) and I did follow up with lotion, which is necessary, no question. It burns (like a very strong tingle?) just like the 35%, but it comes on faster and needs less time on my skin. The 35% made an enormous difference in my skin, the 50% is continuing the improvement. The scars are much much much fainter, my skin is less oily and it is more even colored. I wasn’t in bad shape before, but the change is enough that my male friends are noticing and asking what I did. I have shared this with them and one tried it with good result.

Read the instructions! Guys, do not use just after shaving or if you have cuts. Ow! Ow! Ow! One time I had a cut from shaving and I used this. The cut burned and as the skin was broken, I should have waited for the cut to heal, but I’m not that bright. Anyway, I had some spots where I had the cut, but they disappeared in few days. If anyone else has this happen, don’t freak out. If you have any open skin from a cut or scratch, this will *really* burn and temporarily discolor the broken skin. I

Now I like to look my best and I can’t believe how well this works. My skin is clear, smooth, less oily and just looks good. I look young anyway, but this really impressed me. I am not a user of this type of product and never knew something like this even existed. We are all different and have different skin, but I have a medium complexion and my skin tends to be on the sensitive side. I haven’t had more than 1 pimple since using this. I don’t get a lot, but more than I had been getting.

Other reviewers have given some good tips and I will be another voice in the chorus that says what a great product and results this has given me. I plan to stop for a while to see how long this lasts, but for having my skin look great and youthful, this is worth each of the five stars.

The product is right for my skin. I used it twice a week for 5 min each time. I works! My skin improved, and I get less breakouts and spots. I will have to use the product for some more time to say definitely, though. I am not still sure that the prescription medication I was using before trying this is worse. I guess it depends on one’s skin. You should really do an evaluation with a dermatologist first, and then decide what you want to do if you have real problems with the skin. If the problems are light – use this – it works!

I’d been using this product once a week for four or so weeks. I didn’t realize it was working till my best friend saw me after I had began treatment and was like WOW your acne scars are gone. I am soooo happy. Now if someone can recommend a chemical peel for stretch marks that would be great!!!!

I wish these guys would also sell Glycolic Acid 75%. After my boyfriends praises, I placed an order for 75% (for some scars on my body) through Cellbone Technology.

My first time to try chemical peel so I started using Glycolic gel peel 30% last January, using once a week. My face cleared up of acne and scars and even out skin color and smoother. 1 bottle of 30 ml lasted 6 months. I just ordered this 50% and they sent me free sample of Salicylic 20% peel. Will buy again definitely.
