Quick Overview
A glycolic peel or chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, mild acne scarring, fine wrinkles and uneven skin. The alphahydroxy acid (AHA) glycolic acid, a mild peel, is used for this purpose. The formula used is adjusted to meet each patient's needs. A chemical peel can give you brighter, smoother looking skin. The 30ml and 100ml bottles are best for full facial applications. For specific areas, or spot treatments, we recommend the Glycolic 35 Roll-On.
What is Glycolic Acid?
Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent that is made from sugar cane. It is often considered the most active and beneficial of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA). With repetitive and continuous use, improvement to skin tone and texture occurs. Once inside the skin's cell, glycolic acid will serve as a catalyst for the formation of new collagen which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skin's surface. Glycolic acid has been proven to be very effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma, actinic keratosis, acne, and oily skin, as well as other cosmetic uses. What to Expect After Use
Clinical research and patient treatments clearly prove that AHAs are effective in helping to keep the skin clear and healthier. The research also confirmed that the majority of AHAs have larger molecular structures that do not penetrate the top layer of the skin (stratum corneum) without high concentrations and lower pH levels. Glycolic Acid is the most adaptable and beneficial AHA. Its tiny molecular structure allows it to penetrate the epidermis to accelerate the body's exfoliation process. It "loosens" the glue that bonds the cells together, allowing thickened and dead cells to "disappear." The end result is smoother skin with better coloration, tone and texture. Glycolic acid has the smallest molecular structure of the AHAs, allowing it to effectively penetrate deeper into the skin, providing powerful collagen stimulation and dermal hydration.
Client Instructions
Peel Instructions
- Apply 2-3 ml Glycolic/50 solution to a gauze pad and apply to the face using a gentle rubbing action. Keep the solution at least a quarter of an inch away from the eyes, lips and mucus membranes.
- Leave Glycolic Acid on initially for 30 - 60 seconds, building up to 1-4 minutes as tolerance increases (you may fan the skin during this time to alleviate discomfort). Contact time of peel should not exceed 10 minutes. If redness or stinging occurs, wash off immediately.
- Remove all traces of peel with copious amounts of water. Pay special attention to areas around the eyebrows, behind the ears, and in the creases around the nose.
- Pat dry with cotton or paper towel (do not rub the skin at this stage).
- Apply a thin layer of non-comedonic moisturizer (see below).
- The Glycolic Peel is designed to be used every 5-7 days in conjunction with regular exfoliation and moisturization of the skin.
FDA Guidelines for the use of Glycolic Acid are:
- Test any product that contains an AHA on a small area of skin before applying it to a large area. If you use cosmetics with AHAs and experience skin irritation or prolonged stinging, stop using the product and consult your physician.
- Follow the use instructions on the label. Do not exceed the recommended applications.
- Avoid using AHA-containing products on infants and children.
- Use sun protection if you use a AHA product.
Pre-Peel
- Avoid using self-tanners, masks, scrubs or exfoliating agents for at least 48 hours prior to the peel.
- Stop glycolic acid and Retin A/Renova products 48 hours before peel.
- Do not wax facial hair for 48 hours before peel.
- Notify us if you have a history of cold sores, fever blisters or herpes outbreak anywhere on the face prior to the application.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at lease a week prior to your peel.
Post-Peel
- Avoid exercise and sweating (sauna) for a few hours after the procedure.
- Avoid the use of abrasive or exfoliating sponges until face returns to normal condition.
- Apply a fragrance free moisturizer (Neutrogena facial lotion, or Cetaphil lotion) twice a day. Avoid products containing alpha-hydroxyacids until the skin returns to normal condition.
- Do not peel the skin, pick the skin, scrape or scratch the skin, expose the skin to sun or sun lamps, or use a mask on the skin until the skin returns to normal condition.
- If possible delay the use of make-up for 24 hours, if you must use very lightly.

FAQ
- What will chemical peels do for my skin?
Chemical facial peels help to smooth and freshen the complexion. The treatments help to decrease the signs of sun damage, minimize fine lines, even skin tone, decrease discolorations, and smooth rough skin. The peel will reduce the frequency and severity of acne breakouts. - How is the peel performed?
First the face is cleansed using mild soap and water to remove make up and debris. Then a pre peel cleansing pad is used to further clean the face. Next the chemical is applied to the skin using a sponge. Mild burning will occur while the chemical dries, a fan is used to help minimize the burning and increase comfort. In 2-4 minutes you will gently wash the chemical off. Then a post peel moisturizer will be applied. - What are the risks?
Adverse reactions to chemical peels are rare but can include redness, peeling, scabbing, infection, recurrence of cold sores, prolonged sensitivity to wind and sun, and areas of persistent darkening and lightening of the skin. We do not perform peels on patients that have used the acne medication, Accutane, during the prior six months.

This does work great, but give it time. I found that using Cetaphil lotion actually calmed the burn afterwards. The shipping was so fast, ordered on a Monday afternoon and had it by Wednesday!

Unbelievable results - and i've tried everything

At 37, I'm blessed with pretty good skin but this product has really taken it to another level. I glow!!!
I've tried dozens of creams, facials and expensive microdermabrasion treatments (nice, but the results barely lasted through the weekend!)- this product just makes my skin better and better!
After two months of 2x weekly 4-5 min peels the pores on my cheeks are much smaller and my skin is smooth and catches the light the way it did when i was 20. I still can't believe how easy and inexpensive it is. I use a 1$ fan and a light cream afterward; the post-peel blotchyness is gone by morning. I can't say it's done anything for my monthly acne but the rest of my skin is so lovely I care much less!

From the worst to better...waiting to see the best

I am peach complected, clear skin, but have acne scars on my face. I made a mistake to get lazer treatment for the scars, which resulted in discoloration of the skin, my face became very blochy. I read all the reviews I could find, on 35% Glycolic Acid peels before using this product. Reached the Skinlab customer support, who answered all my questions, until I was ready to take a chance. What a difference in 6 weeks, I see the discoloration fading away!!! I cannot wait to see it gone, I do not wish to stop this treatment after 6 weeks, but I rather follow the instructions and stop the treatment for one month.
This is the best and the safest product, so far, please strictly follow the instructions

It Works....BUT GIVE IT TIME

I started using this product in mid october under the impression that I would have visible results after 1 application. I was really dissapointed because, unlike others who have posted their reviews, I didn't see any difference in the texture or appearance of my skin.
However, I decided to give it time. The instructions even state that results are typically seen within 4-6 applications. So, I started on a new regimen.
I must say that I didn't notice any uncomfortable tingling. I applied it on clean skin and gently rubbed it in and left it on for 10 minutes. I use it 2x/wk for 5 weeks and the difference is definite. My skin is now much smoother, has more glow to it, my pores are much smaller, I haven't had a break out in weeks, and my skin isn't as oily either.
I highly reccomend this product. I don't feel that it is a strong peel but for starters, it may be best to start with a lactic peel first and then try glycolic.
If you are expecting immediate results, you may want to see a Dermatologist for a stronger peel. But if you're looking for something that will gradually improve the appearance of your skin, give this a try. Stick to it, take pictures of your progress and You won't be dissapointed.

Great alternative to pricey "skin clinic" procedures

I went to a skin care consultation and the glycolic peel was highly recommended. I am 33 wanted to just freshen up my skin..minimize lines, etc. At $200 + per treatment, I went online and found this wonderful product. I love this glycolic peel. I think the best technique (which I would have never thought of) is what some reviewers have mentioned...using q-tips. The most sensitive are of my face must be my upper cheek area...as this is the only part of my face that feels it has a slight sunburn. But..I'm the type of person that is comforted by this because I know it's doing something. ;) Thanks for an awesome product!!!!

I would have opted to purchase the lower precentage of the product if I had known how intensed the 35% was. I actually suffered a bad burn as a result. It was way too strong for my needs. This product should not be used at home by anyone who is not a professional dermatologist, or a skincare professional.

I'm in my mid-20's and have been dealing with consistent breakouts for about the past year. I used Proactiv as a teenager and decided to stop using it about 2 years ago as I thought I had grown out of the acne stage of life. Over the past year I have been struggling to find a product(s) that is successful in treating my adult acne. I spent some time searching various products on Amazon, keeping an eye out for any products with a large amount of positive user reviews. When I came across this product it obviously had tons of great reviews and was extremely well priced. I was weary of using a "peel", as I had never used a peel before. I've been using the product for the past 2 weeks and am extremely happy to report that I have been breakout free. It took about 5 days of using it to see a difference. The peel burns a bit when you first start using it, but this decreases with use. The burning feeling is definitely not a deal breaker though and goes away as soon as you wash the peel off. I would definitely recommend this product!!!

product worked well, if youve never used glycolic acid this is a good product to start with. It took care of the rough skin issues. it does burn but use as directed and youll be fine.

this glycolic acid peel works very well. I'm at the fourth peel and see a really major change in my skin. It's almost acne free, which, even it was not more than two or three pimples,was quiet annoying. My skin is clear and feel healthier! WEll done! Shipping was fast too.

I have been using this for about 2 1/2 weeks now. It does tingle when you put it on, but I have been builing a tolerance for it. My acne is definately better. I haven't seen a difference in terms of pores seeming smaller or the finer wrinkles disappear, but it could be that I have not yet used it long enough.

I was using this weekly, as recommended in the instructions but decided to try it as a spot treatment after 6 weeks and not enough progress. It's been working much better as a spot treatment for my hyperpigmentation. I put a dot on every dark spot on my face at night after I wash my face. Then I wash it off after about 5 minutes and then put on some oil free lotion. It has been working much more quickly at this pace and with much better results for me. I highly recommend it for scars like mine that are just dark spots. I have been using the salicylic acid 20% on my acne as a spot treatment as well and have had much better results on my pimples.

I've used the Glycolic Acid 35% gel peel five times, spacing the treatments one week apart. I am not that sensitive to this so I put on a generous amount and instead of leaving on for about 4 minutes I have increased it to 10 minutes. What I feel is a strong tingling sensation but it's not painful. There is no redness during the treatment or for the following week. I did notice some exfoliation, but not a lot. A side effect I noticed is some bleaching of the skin. I might try more frequent treatments or try something stronger. Definitely safe for someone who has not done this sort of thing before.

I purchased this product at a time when I was suffering from horrible cystic acne breakouts on my chest and back. I was getting daily blackheads and it was horrible. My dermatologist told me the only solution left for me was accutane. I was scared to try accutane due to all of the side effects. I decided to try this as a last resort before going on accutane. I am glad that I did. I started off using the peel once a week for 5 minutes and quickly built my way up to weekly 10 minute peels. Not only did my cystic acne disappear, the acne scarring is improved as well. I will continue to use this product and take the necessary month rest between peels. I highly recommend this product to people with oily, acne prone, acne scarred skin.

Great affordable product

I have been using this product for around 2 months now and have probably done 4 or 5 peels in that time. I don't really notice the peel when it is on my skin - except for an occasional mild tingly feeling. My skin is pretty used to this type of thing though so someone with more sensitive skin might feel it a lot more.
As for results, I can definitely tell that my skin is exfoliating at a more rapid rate which is leading to an overall improvement of my skin's appearance. I am definitely going to keep using this product and think things will keep getting better with time.

I am a 40-year-old male with excessively oily skin, and some areas of my face have large pores. I have had glycolic peels in the past at a med/spa place along with microdermabrasion, with positive results but nothing lasting very long. I purchased this item and have used it now for about 3 weeks. I used it once the first week, twice the second week, and once the third week. Each time I have noticed an improvement to my skin: my pores look smaller, my face is less oily and just looks better in general. I recommend this product to anyone thinking about trying it. My skin is not particularly sensitive, so I didnt experiece much in the way of stinging, but I would guess that if you have sensitive skin that you start out with using it only for a couple of minutes to make sure that you dont "overdo" it. Follow the directions carefully. Great product, and much less expensive than going to a med/spa.

I have monthly breakouts, mild scarring on my cheeks and my skin is normal to oily and not sensitive. I've used milder glycolic acid in the past and even had an Obagi Blue Peel several years ago. I've been using the peel for a few weeks and have noticed the mild scarring on my cheeks is fading. I don't think this will get rid of it 100%, but it is helping. It has also evened out my skin tone and has helped with breakouts.

My facial skin was once compared to orange peel because of large pores. I have suffered from severe acne problems in my teens also I had some discoloration from sunburn and fine lines and wrinkles from all that smoking(I quit that 2 years ago). That was before I have started using glycolic acid 35% and salicylic acid 20% 100 ml since end of March (thanks for sending them both in one shipping cost). I have used them every Monday(glycolic acid) and Thursday(salicylic acid)for 4 and a half month. The result is INCREDIBLE. My facial skin is SMOOTH and EVEN TONE and most importantly SMALL PORES! At this rate, I think my skin will return to fully normal before these bottles used up. I copied the product feature down below because what they are saying is all true. If you have bad facial skin, don't waste money on something else. Use these products! I now have confidence back and don't look down when people look at me because I now have a nice and clean face that is presentable. The only issue I have is why didn't I know about these products before.

I am 35; I had large pores and wrinkled skin from sun damage (I never used sunscreen) so decided to try out this product. I would have to say that I love the results! The wrinkling is GONE and my skin looks a lot better than it has in a long time. I still have larger pores, but this peel has reduced the size of them some. I have been using this now for 9 or 10 weeks. The wrinkles from the sun were gone after the third time I used this product. A+++

This is the best at-home glycolic peel I've tried! It really clears up my skin and reduces pore size. I've had many glycolic peels performed at the spa and this product is the only thing that comes close to producing the same results! I highly recommend it for oily skin types with large pores!

I am 37 and there is plenty I would like to change about my skin. I mention this this to say there were several different ways this product could have worked for me. I saw all these great reviews so I was hopeful. I used this product for the full cycle but sadly saw very little real results. My skin was softer- yes... but acne/blemishes, pore tightening, discoloration- little to no change. Softer was the least of my goals (not many people are touching my face). Would I buy this product again? Nope. If you are determined to give it a try, lower your expectations. There is a possibility you will spend several weeks going through this somewhat laborious process for nothing.

I read all the good reviews and ignored the bad ones, I bought this because I thought it would work, all it does is sting for about 10-15 minutes and that's it, I did not notice a difference at all and I kept using it for about 3 months. Waste of money.

I was a bit leary but after reading all the great reviews I knew I had to try this. My skin has always been blotchy and I had the biggest pores ever on my cheeks. I've been using the product for 2 weeks and I can say that my huge pores are almost gone. My skin is even and smooth and looks fantastic. I have reccomended this to all my friends and mom. Even my boyfriend noticed and commented on how my "skin looks so young". Give it a try!

I was waiting to see if I was able to see any significant results from using this acid peel, but its been almost 2 month from use, the only significant difference on my skin is the TOUCH. Right after utiliing this acid peel, the face immediately feels smoother and just makes your skin younger. But as for ACNE... or to remove SPOTS or to ELIMINATE wrinkles i don't see any results just yet. Maybe it did help but I just can't tell. Anyhow, I would recommend this product overall though!

I used this and followed the directions. All it did was burn like hell and i have noticed no difference accept for the scab it left on one cheek. I would really like my money back to be honest because now i am gonna have another scar on my face instead of getting rid of the ones that are there.

I have been battling numerous skin problems for many years now and have tried every product available. In just two weeks, this peel made a big difference in my skin. This product arrived really fast. I've used it three times and can see a difference. I'm using it for my acne marks and scars. My hyperpigmentation is lighter and my scars have become less noticeable. I use it once a week but my skin instead of getting used to it, is becoming more sensitive to it. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a brighter clearer complexion.

I only used this twice so far since I've been mostly using lactic acid 50 but I would have to say that this is a rapid-acting peel. After two days, I saw my skin peel off. I used it on a body part other than my face. But will likely use it more once I run out of lactic acid.
Skin Laboratory is a great company to deal with. It answered all my questions and addressed any concern. I'll surely buy from this firm again.

I bought this a few weeks ago and was hessitant to use because I did not want to go to work looking like a tomato. I am only 33 yrs old and male who was becoming self conscious about my reckless youth of being out in the sun without any protection. Well needless to say I began to show signs of sun damage in the form of very light brown spots and some fine lines around the eyes. I was more self conscious because peers my age did not have any of the signs that I had so before I even considered some more expensive treatments I decided to give this a try. I applied it on with a cotton ball since I could not find a gauze anywhere in my home but will be purchasing some before my next application. I left it on 2 mintutes since I didn't really have too much uncomfortness. I did apply moisturizer soon after which helped with the tingling and I have no redness on my face which is good. I do notice that my skin is softer but will continue my review after my 5th application and hopefully I can see some of the great improvements that you all are having. Do I reccomend? For the price I say give it a shot before wasting hundreds on professional treatments.

I have acne scarring from the previous years. I did my second peel and I noticed the change in the texture of my skin. The peel really makes your skin glow. I think by my 6th peel my acne scarring will honestly faded to the point where me skin will be one tone. I'm impressed.

I have used this a few times now and love it. I have oily skin, and have some bumps. I was going to get a peel at the dermatologists, but I decided to try this instead. It really helps take away bumps, breakouts, all that, and my skin feels so clean now.

GREAT PRODUCT! My product arrived promptly, and a day earlier than expected. I have used many glycolic products, and this is one of the best I have ever tried. My skin is clearer, and cleaner looking, and it's great to help tighten up those pores! As with any product involving the word ACID-use it as directed if you do not know how your skin will react to it.

I purchased this a few months ago and used it maybe 6-7 times. The only thing I noticed was that I had fewer breakouts. But that could be because I stopped picking at my face after doing a peel because I didn't want to aggravate my skin if it was going to peel (which it didnt). I have pretty oily skin and get at least 2-3 cystic zits a month with a few regular ones. I will continue to use this to see if maybe longer use will help or I'll get a stronger percentage peel. My skin is pretty though this one could be too weak for me. What I was hoping for was evening out of my skin tone, fading previous scars, and shrinking pores. What I got was less acne. Another little plus is that the bottle, even being small, lasts a good amount of time.

I was nervous about self-applying an "acid peel" to my face; however, an esthetician friend of mine encouraged me to try it. After using it once a week for three weeks, I'm now able to leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing with cool water and moisturizing. I apply it to my face, neck, upper chest, and backs of my hands. I'm also applying DMAE serum twice a day. Already, I've seen positive results: my face is luminous, freckles/brown spots are fading, and lines and wrinkles are disappearing. Even my neck and upper chest areas look younger! I'm lucky that my skin is not super sensitive. This product will make your skin tingle, and my face is still a bit tingly this morning after an application last night. But, I take that as a sign that it's working for me. After six treatments I started to see some results. I have now performed my eighth use of this product and am starting to see some fading of age spots. This is a good mini-peel product that has so far not caused me any peeling or redness after each treatment.

I was excited to try this, hoping to reduce the brown spots on my face. I am a 48 year old asian with fair skin. I've used this 6 times and so far it hasn't reduced the spots much at all. But what it has done is make my skin really smooth looking. The pores are much smaller, though not invisible but I'm not complaining. The wrinkles around my eyes are less noticeable too! My sisters commented on how it looked and I let them all try it. I was cautious the first couple times since I hadn't used a peel before. 45 seconds the first time just to see how it would feel, then the subsequent times I increased the time, but never past 2.5 minutes. It stung a bit and made me want to scratch my face but it was bearable. I plan to try this on my son who has an acne problem. If this product can help with that, I will definitely order more.

I received this product within about three days of ordering it. Very very timely delivery. I have used the product once and have already noticed a huge improvement in my skin, smooth as a baby's bottom and noticeable reduced pore size! I'm in my mid fifties and noticed no stinging at all. I left the product on for a full 4 minutes and was left with a healthy glow complete with rosy cheeks. Listen to your skin. If it hurts, rinse it off like the company says.

After reading reviews I though this would give me the results I was looking for. My skin is oily, but changing as I mature, so a few lines and wrinkles and large pores. I've used this 4 times (once a week this past month) and have noticed very little change. A bit of sloughing, slight reduction in breakouts, but no amazing results. My skin is not sensitive, so maybe I need a stronger treatment, but I do feel a tingling sensation when I use this product, so I get nervous about using something stronger.

Glycolic is great. My estiticion uses this on me during my facials with her. She tells me that I should only use 12% at home and tells me I should come in for facials. She's also a good friend so I know she's just trying to get me in the door! She doesn't do anything different than I do. I have been using for 2 weeks and love it!

this product is spa grade. however, good to use for between visit to plastic surgeons for peels. i will order again but, i will get the stronger 50-70 because my face is used the medical grade. so order and make it part of your weekly facial.

I have no idea what this is suppose to do. I thought it would make my skin more smooth. My skin doesn't peel so i'm not sure if it works or not. I think it may be helping my pores to look smaller, but who knows. I may need a higher percent, but i'm not in a hurry to buy it.

I've been using this product for over a month already and I am more than satisfied with it. I am 22, but my skin is oily and prone to acne from time to time. I also had some pretty big pores and a few acne scars. I applied Glycolic peel on my skin after cleansing and scrubing it. 5 minutes work fine for me. I am rinsing it with a slight baking soda solution to neutralize the acid and then applying my regular moisturizer. Each time I look at my skin after that it feels so different, the turgor is significantly better, the color is more even and my acne, scars and pores really got smaller and less visible. I would recommend this product to everybody who doesn't want to spend tons of money on facials and salon peeling. Just try it on a small area of the skin and try with 1 minute. Good luck!

I received this promptly and was nicely packaged. The peel itself was so mild I could barely feel it. I tried to leave it longer and I'm using it daily now to see if there's a difference..so far nothing. I had used MD Forte in the past and had good results but I don't like using a cream would rather use liquid. I will use a stronger strength and see how it goes.

I bought this product to fade my tattoo. It was shipped to me quickly. It serves its purpose in that it is easy to apply but as far as using it for a facial chemical peel, I don't think it would be convenient for application on the entire face. For that purpose I would recommend the gel peel product. If you just want to target spot areas then this might be what you want. It's handy and not messy due to its roll-on application.

I give 5 stars - remember, people have different skin types and the results are varies.

I really liked this peel. I've used it twice so far and I have noticed a difference in the clarity of my skin and size of pores. What really impressed me about this product was that I noticed that my skin is much much less oily, throughout the day I don't even notice any shininess around my nose (which is where my skin tends to be very oily). The second time I used it I steamed my face and used a comedone extractor to get all the gunk out of my pores then did this peel and my skin was super smooth.

Like the fast shipping! Product not as scary as others make it out to be! I am on my 4th peel, and it really does not peel much, but I have noticed my sun spots fading slowly! Does sting a bit, but nothing outrageous. I will keep using and look foward to clearer skin.

My skin and I haven't been on speaking terms for years. Horrible, brutal, stubborn, disfiguring cystic acne, so viciously tenacious that I had to go through...yes, count 'em...not one, but TWO rounds of Accutane to rid my self of it, and I STILL get a nice cyst on my back or chest every once in a while. I had pockmarks on top of pockmarks...forehead, cheeks, temples, chin, bridge of my nose even. I hate my skin, I really do. I've gone through 2 deep dermabrasions (through a plastic surgeon, not the micro kind), plus about 30 DEEP chemical peels. My scarring improved a lot.
But professional options get expensive, and taking weeks at a time off while my skin healed wasn't feasible. So I tried other methods to get rid of the rest of the scarring.
Over-the-counter products like Mederma didn't help. Then as I aged, I got grayish, blotchy, dull, oily-here-wrinkly-there skin to add to my scars.
Lovely.
I've used salicylic acid, makes my skin red and papery. I've used Mederma, nothing.
Sorry for the big lead in, but I wanted to give y'all a good idea of what I was already "facing" (sorry for the bad pun).
I saw this Skin Laboratory's 35% Glycolic Acid peel advertised, decided it certainly couldn't hurt.
Bought it, received it very quickly, followed the easy-to-follow directions, love it. The lifeless, grayish appearance of my skin is gone. My smaller scars and pores are much diminished, after only 5 weeks of use, so much so that I can actually COUNT the number of scars I have left. (There were so many before, it was useless to count).
I will admit, I modified the instructions to fit my needs. I leave it on ten minutes at a time. Remember, I am a veteran of strong deep (EXPENSIVE) professional chemical peels, so my skin is quite tolerant to acid. I don't get a visible see-your-skin-flake-off "peel" from this product either (something a few of you have complained about), but that's so much the better! I don't have to miss work for a week at a time to let my skin heal, like with the strong chemical peels. But believe me, the skin cells ARE sloughing off and being replaced. You know how that 10 pounds just snuck up on you after the holidays, and you didn't notice? The skin rejuvenation you will get using this product is the same way: you don't notice it until it's done it's work.
I use this product once a week. After next week (my 6th), I'll wait a month before I go through the cycle again.
I'm also going to start using this product on my chest, which of course, is also scarred and weather-beaten.
Skin Laboratory, I Bow Before You. This is a superior product.

I think that this could be a bit strong for some folks. The ph is around 1.7 (per Skin Laboratory website).
Maybe some would do well to get something a weaker? I think Cellbone offers glyco with 2.1+ ph.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. I have acne scars, pop marks, oily, acne prone skin. So i have tons of skin trouble. i put it on my face for about 10-15 mins and it stung a tiny bit but it went away in about a minute. I washed it off and went to sleep. The next morning I noticed that my pimples had dramatically reduced size, my cysts under my skin had gone away, it reduces the production of oil. Im rather young (22) so i dont have a lot of wrinkles but the little one on my forhead is almost gone. The scaring hasent seemed to diminish that much. SOme people's skin peels a bit but mine hasent at all. I use it daily , followed by a moisturizer. I would recommended it for troubled skin or wrinkles.

I really liked this product and was able to see a difference after using it 3 or 4 times over the course of a month. The color in my skin is more even with less blothy spots and some fine lines are completely gone. I did not find it too harsh and did not experience much burning, just a little tingle. I did follow the directions very carefully and did not leave it on too long and was sure to moisturize right after each use. I did not have a problem with over-drying even in the Colorado winter, which impressed me very much. I liked it so much that I now use a cream with glycolic acid on a daily basis, it just has a much lower acid content, and my skin looks great!

If this peel is suppose to remove a layer of skin each time you use it shouldn't you be seeing a slight reduction in pores, light wrinkles and pigments each time? I do feel it working. Yet it is not painful or hard on my sensitive skin. It makes my skin feel smoother and tighter but so far I see nothing but it has only been three weeks. So my question is shouldn't I see something right away and how long does it take? I am 58 and have some very faint wrinkles and have some age spots and red spots from sun damage. That is why I am taking this product to improve these spots I have developed in the last years. So from the others who have used this product have you seen improvements on these issues? It says professional formula so I expect more improvements.

After that initial treatment, the sting lessens (And I LIKE that feeling because then I know my skin is reacting!) and it just makes your skin feel like it does after a brisk workout...just a little tingly. Hasn't helped discoloration.

I was afraid to use these products because I was scared to try something new. I've just tried the peel and my face is smooth, clearer, and lighter.
I have not as of yet began to peel if that's what it's supposed to do...
However, I will give an update soon. I've also used the Neutralizer skin ph balancer and the Glycolic-Lactic Acid. I have had adult acne breakouts in which cause me dark spots. I used name brand products that did not work to the fullist.
I have had smooth skin until about 3 years ago from stress.
I enjoy these products already. I can hardly wait until tomorrow to see the results. Thank You for reading my review...

I've been using glycolic for a few years now. I started with a VERY light milk wash formula, but as my skin became tolerant I've escalated to high and higher potencies. This product is of great quality and the price cannot be beat. ( I know! I've been buying it all over the place at much higher prices.)
One must be careful with glycolic acid. Your skin must build up a tolerance. You cannot expect to jump right in with full potencies and extended periods of application. But once you've reached that point, you'll be excited about your results!

I have oily/acne pron skin and I have had Glycolic peels by professionals and this really compares to theirs. The glycolic gets rid of my acne in just a few days. The only bad part is it stings/burns and leaves your face red for a little bit. But it's great and I would recommend it to people, especially if you have acne.

If you want smooth skin, this is a great product. It is also great for mild acne-- you know those breakouts at that "time" ? If you use this product regularly, those monthly breakouts will disappear. It also smoothes out fine lines and gives your skin a great texture. I also mix a few drops with my daily facial cleanser!

I am thirty and have in the last few years noticed some brown spots larger than a typical freckle. I bought this product to attempt to remove them. The most worrisome for me is the larger spot above my lip (a result from my recent pregnancy that has not yet faded). I have noticed no difference with the spots other than a temporary (few hours) fading then a full return. My skin otherwise has been much clearer, the blackheads and dry skin have disappeared. I may have to use the product for more than 5 minutes or more often than once a week.
I highly recommend this product for oily or acne prone skin, or for light wrinkles. I so far have not seen evidence that it removes stubborn brown spots.

I love this product. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and have been using this product for three weeks and I have noticed a great improvement on my pigmentation agreas. The plus to this product is how my face glows. I have only been using it for 2 minutes and I have noticed very little peeling or redness. I have been using this product with DMAE serum and Hyaluronic Serum by Source Naturals and everyone is commenting on how my skin is glowing. Don't know if it is just one product or the combo but for the price of these products I will continue to use them all. Great value.

I have been placing this on my face once every week for 2 mins. I have noticed improvement in only 3 weeks. Make sure to use sunscreen during the day and lotion at night. I will purchase more products from this company! Excellant price for the amount your get!
