Product Description

Quick Overview

This treatment is ideal for dry or dehydrated skin, as well as aging and sun-damaged skin. Lactic Acid's unique ability to draw moisture toward the surface of the skin makes it ideal for individuals whose skin dries out easily. This treatment also effectively combats acne, leaving a wonderfully smooth and clear complexion. The Lactic 30ml and 100ml are ideal for full facial applications. For specific areas, or spot treatments, the Lactic 50 Roll-on would be best.

What is Lactic Acid?

Lactic Acid is a non-irritating rapid exfoliator. Lactic Acid is recommended for those that are new to peel and exfoliating agents in skin care products, as well as those that have used other exfoliators for a long period and want to improve results. Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid derived from sour milk. It is ideal for sensitive skin or skin unable to tolerate glycolic acid. Lactic acid peel helps to eliminate germs, toxins and dead cells. It also helps to maintain the skin's pH factor. Lactic Acid occurs naturally in the skin and is a primary component of the skins natural moisturizing factor, and so less harsh and more moisturizing than Glycolic Acid skin peels.

How does Lactic Acid work?

The use of Lactic Acid will help to stimulate and speed skin cell turnover on the surface of the skin, thereby producing more vibrant and smoother-looking skin. In the deeper layers of skin, new collagen and elastin will be stimulated and the skin will actually become thicker, tighter and more firm. Peel Instructions

*always refer to peel manual prior to performing actual peel

1.    Apply 2-3 ml Lactic/50 solution to a gauze pad and apply to the face using a gentle rubbing action. Keep the solution at least a quarter of an inch away from the eyes, lips and mucus membranes.

2.    Leave Lactic Acid on initially for 30 - 60 seconds, building up to 1-3 minutes as tolerance increases (you may fan the skin during this time to alleviate discomfort). Contact time of peel should not exceed 10 minutes. If redness or stinging occurs, wash off immediately.

5.    Apply a thin layer of non-comedonic moisturizer (see below).

6.    The Lactic Peel is designed to be used every 5-7 days in conjunction with regular exfoliation and moisturization of the skin.
